Bobjenkins-OG" The whole FD was there that night and they looked in all directions along the woods for a trail leading into the woods and found none."This is not true. Where are you getting your info from? I and several others spoke with FD. The search east ended at the corner of BHR on 112 because they saw no visible footprints. They did not look in all directions along the woods.

Citi- I got that info from John Healy, head of the nhli.
When he speaks on crimewire interview he states that by coincidence the whole FD was there because they just happened to be having a meeting that night.
Well he said they searched in all directions for footprints but found none.
That's what he said, that the whole FD was out there looking for prints leading into the woods. Now he doesn't specifically say how far they went in each direction so I suppose what your saying about BHR could be correct. But idk, that doesnt make much sense to me, you got the whole FD there and they only search to BHR? What the hell is that? Sounded like it was 15-20 guys. Why would they stop at BHR? Obviously there's not going to be any footprints in the road. Sounds like a pretty crappy FD if they only checked to BHR, there's people's yards up to that point, that isn't even really the woods, the whole FD is there looking and they only look a few hundred feet? Weird. Either way we know they didn't check miles or anything close to that.

All he says is that they checked the woods in the immediate area for footprints.

citi Do you now think she entered the woods?

Yup.. I know much more than I need about CT law Jenkins... "nollied" is rich boy talk when they tryna sound hood.. No offense & its not a attack on you jenkins.. Some lawyers up there used to say it to me & im like STFU..
Im sayn.. If it comes down to it & your guilty but want it to disappear from your sheet after bein on papers.. Never ADMIT to anything.. Never cop a plea unless your getting a really good deal.. Like 1yr vs 5.. But if u got 3-5 dont cop just to get 2-4 then be stuck on papers for 5 more.. It dont matter if they took it from your hands.. ITS NOT YOURS.. Its THEIRS!! Make them work, make them do their job!! You get put to sleep for less time.. & if your really really stuck..
Just take the Alfred..
Nollied is rich white boy talk, but not when they're trying to sound hood lol. Think kids down in the hood in Bridgeport know about a nolle? Hell no, you ain't never gonna hear someone in the hood using the word nolle. Lol, come on dude, not gonna happen. But yes it is rich white boy talk, my family ain't rich by any stretch but compared to the kids down bpt or new haven...

And while we are on the subject, I can't believe people think you actually sound hood. You speak like a white boy in his 30's who grew up on the hop hop generation, like many many white kids from the suburbs that are in our age group. Your 34 right?

I find it hilarious that some people around here seem to think that you actually sound 'hood', like it's cool or something. What is this 1991 and we're in middle school? Lol. In reality anyone who thinks Emmett sounds like he's from the 'hood' doesn't know how that portion of society speak.

I'm not trying to get on your case here Emmett, I like you, your a funny guy, but you know as well as I that you don't really sound like your from the 'hood' at all, you sound like a white dude that thinks its funny to mix in hood slang.

If anyone wants to see how kids from the hood really speak go check out this thread on topix Holyoke,ma. It's good for a laugh at the very least, some of it is actually hilarious.
Here's the link:

http://www.topix.com/forum/city/holyoke-ma/T8...

But for the record nobody on this thread speaks like they're actually from the hood and they should be glad for that fact. Go check out 'big jolly' and a couple select others on that thread, the ingnorance is unparalleled. Lol

LOLOLOL!!! Yea! Let me wire a few stacks to some kid in VA!! Sounds like a GREAT idea!!

I got a couple childhood friends that are upstate right now and they're doing just fine. Me and one of my boys send them commissary $ and put $ on their phone accounts cuz without that shit it sounds like it wicked sucks. But as for their personal safety they're just fine and if my other buddy got sent upstate he'd be fine as well, it's nothing like they make it out to be in the movies n shit. Maybe it used to be bad like that but now it sounds like its just boring. I talk to both of those kids like once or twice a week, just because they're bored.

Pretty much the last thing in the world that needs to be done if this kid got sent upstate is to send a few g's to some random kid in VA who I speak to online sometimes for "protection". LOL, come on dude who do you think I am??

Re the magistrate, that must be new. When I lived there and called a magistrate because my ex stole my horse, magistrate refused to do anything, said it was a "domestic issue". I said, how can that be, we've been divorced well over a year, magistrate just said "It's domestic, not larceny."

Yeah it does seem a little weird but I don't think it's a big deal. May would be six months after the incident, since she was caught using the card in November. It says "continued three months and dismissed if no trouble" - so 3 months from the December court date would be March, not May. Maybe a clerical error or she requested to continue it till May once school was out? I'm honestly not sure what to make of that.
I'm thinking 5/30 is because she had community service to do. If you get community service they have a hearing once your done so you can show the court you did what you were supposed to do. She had two jobs and went to school so she didn't exactly have a lot of time to do community service. This is probably why they set the hearing for the end of may, to give her time to get it done.
But then again, why wouldn't it say community service under her sentence? See what I'm sayin? That first page still seems weird, but at this point I think it's safe to assume its legit unless we hear otherwise.

LOL, holy shit I hit a nerve huh? Damn dude
First of all what?? now your saying your not white???
So your not the white dude with the tattoo of the Miami dolphins logo on the back of your head? That isn't you???
Now you aren't Italian?? Haven't you said that about a thousand times? Palermo, Sicily iirc.
Last time I checked Italians were considered white too, if your not white then what are you?
I know a lot of Italians, southern ct is full of Italians, some of my best friends and my girl are Italian. I've never heard one of them ever say they're not white.
Second of all since when is it cool to go to jail? You mention that like its some sort of badge of honor or something. And hold on, now your saying you spent three years upstate in CT?? You don't get sent upstate to prison unless your convicted. I thought you said you were never convicted. You wait in county jail until your convicted, like whalley ave in new haven. So what up? Now your saying you got convicted and sent upstate for 3 years?
& I never said you were a white dude tryin to sound hard bro, I said you speak like the millions of white dudes from the suburbs that are around our age who mix in some ghetto slang because it's funny and that's what they grew up hearing. Many people I know speak like that, I have no doubt that's how you really speak in real life.
All I was saying is that obviously you don't sound like a person who's actually from 'the hood'. That's why I posted that link, so people could get a small taste of what people actually from the hood sound like, which is basically ignorant..
I just don't understand why all this talk of 'hood talk' has come up on this thread. This thread is like the whitest thread on the entire Internet lol.
And lastly the one thing no one can say about me is that I'm a white kid who's tryin to sound hard, or from the hood. Lol, I clearly speak like a white dude from new England. When have I ever broke anything out even resembling ghetto talk? I write like I speak, like a straight up white boy.

You should be glad that you dont really sound like some ignorant kid from the ghetto, If you did these people would barely even be able to understand what the hell your talking about.
& btw, I am not border patrol. Border patrol & ICE are two different agencies, though they both fall under homeland security but are different agencies. ICE is the major investigative arm of the DHS.
I haven't even been to my house in NH since like mid April. Nowadays all my work is down in mass for the most part; namely Holyoke & Springfield, I def ain't workin on the border.
If I insulted you I apologize, but you don't talk like someone from the hood, I just wanted to clear that up.
& I wasn't tryin to insult you bro, I was just commenting on how it's weird that there's been all this mentioning of 'hood talk' recently. I was also pointing out that no one on this thread actually talks like they're from the hood, thankfully. I never said you weren't 'hard' & I never made any sort of claim that I am either. Personally I'm glad that I didn't have to grow up in the ghetto, I'd rather be some lucky white kid from the suburbs any day; I'm certainly no gangster, far from it.
You have tattoos harder than me? Lol, what does that even mean?? I have tattoos as well, my best friend owns a tattoo shop. Last I looked tattoos aren't 'hard'. Yea many hard people have tattoos, but then so do 18 yr old girls, having tattoos sure doesn't mean someone's a hardened criminal. And who wants to be a hardened criminal anyways? This whole thing is just silly, we are talking about a missing girl, this case has nothing to do with the hood or anything like it.

In ct you are generally only allowed one nolle though I have heard of people getting two but they're generally for the first time someone gets in trouble.
So what is going on here? is the term nolle really just that different between different states? What your saying about 'how can a case be dismissed' for two years i think is misunderstanding, it's doesn't take two years to dismiss its only dismissed after those two years are up.

So clearly there's something that I'm not understanding here. In ct you can definitely get cases nollied for certain periods of time; the charges are only dropped after the period of good behavior. Ct is the only state that I can attest that this is true.

Jenkins:

You are correct - generally, a defendant isn't eligible to have multiple cases Nolle Pros'd. It DOES happen, but sparingly.(Unless the State chooses the more serious of three offenses to continue on with, and dismisses the other two...that happens with some frequency on dope cases where they also had a syringe, etc.)

I think the semantics of this argument are confusing you. You cannot get something 'nollied' for a certain length of time, as a Nolle Prosequi is the actual dismissal of the charges. You CAN, however, do a form of probation where it's continued until X date (one year, two year, etc.) and THEN the charges are Nolle Pros'd. So, although I disagree with your statement above regarding 'nollied for two years' I get that you are saying, they were continued for two years, at which point the charges are dismissed (Nolle Pros'd).

It's akin to a form of probation. You are still under judicial monitoring for X amount of time, and yet, are going to have the charges dismissed (without a conviction on your record).

This is all pending a satisfactory completion of the probationary offense. Tying this all back to Maura, regardless of CWOF....Nolle Prosequi....probation...whatev er you call it, whatever particular term is utilized - the gist of it is, she absolutely had to keep her nose out of trouble for X amount of time.

A DUI would nullify any agreement she had with the Court to dismiss the pending charges, and they would be back, in full effect.(Whether or not she would, again, be eligible for a type of probation, is debatable and an intricacy of MA law I cannot speak to - I'm sure you all are glad.) In Illinois, she would still be eligible for probation. I don't know if she would in MA - sometimes, picking up a new charge while on bond for the initial charge, necessarily voids a repeated option of probation. Did she post a bond in this case? Or was she allowed to leave the police station on a Recog. Bond?

Took a nice long walk in the woods today picking up pine cones, a few acorns and red berries before the rain comes and soaks them. Will make some nice winter decorations. The woods is very quiet today and the birds are filling up with weed seeds. A sign of bad weather coming.

Displaying them in other businesses where alot of people go is a really good idea.
Going by the ribbon tree today two things came to mind. IMHO I think it's a waste of time and money to put signs on trees and poles here in the mountains. The newest sign that was put up on the tree is already looking frazzled and someone would have to stop and get out to really see the picture and writing. I imagine it will likely sail off into the woods with this storm that's coming. Another bit of advice (not that it's worth anything) is if you want to put a poster on a tree it's a good idea to ask permission from the person that owns the land that the tree is on. And never use screw or nails to put the sign up.If someone got out of their car and started pounding nails in a tree that I owned without even asking I'd be irate.Eventually it could kill the tree. Simplysarcasm- I agree with your above post on pretty much every point.

A couple comments on your last paragraph. I'm pretty sure that she didnt have to post any bond, just a promise to appear. I'm not even sure if they made her go to the station. I was kind of under the impression they basically gave her a summons to court, hence the mug shot of sorts being shot in the hallway. Yes, I'm pretty sure that she could get put on two probations at the same time, but they would most likely call one real probation, I can't see them allowing tooth to go from the record.
A DUI would bring those charges back, most likely mass wouldnt have even known about it but she wouldn't have thought that.
This is why I think she dropped her guard and accepted a ride from a stranger. She's freezing cold and someone seemingly nice stops an offers her a ride? She's really gonna say no let me walk through 2.5' of snow into the woods? Do you have any idea how difficult that is and how big of an obvious trail she would've left?

Sbd said on record that he believes she got into one of the cars he saw drive by his house.
LE seems to think that she caught a ride from the immediate area.
Her family definitely said they thought she caught a ride.
Given the conditions she was facing, the clothing she was wearing and her fear of LE, I think her catching a ride is just the most logical, simplest answer to this whole thing.
Once she enters the woods you gotta answer all these questions like how far could she really have made it into the woods? How could she even have done that seeing sneakers and jeans without even gloves? Was she really that stupid to think that walking into the woods in those conditions would be easy? Why didn't she at least bring her gloves with her if she was planning on entering the woods?
How come LE couldn't locate a trail even though conditions were perfect for tracking? someone walking through a couple feet of snow leaves a very noticeable, and big trail? There's all sorts of answers that are brought up by her entering the woods, and it seems like they're simply answered by her accepting a ride.
