Yes it is a good possibility honestly!! There is nothing for kids to do here but get in trouble but shes only 11 & loves Snow Sports, sking & all.. So that would keep her occupied :)

Im at a damn shelter puttn n work for strangers & neighbors in real life.. Other than that wtf i got to do besides talk on the net to strangers?? Everyone from my town is here & all of them on their phones like me tellin people to be safe..I always talk to strangers, thats my damn job..

I don't think you were here but I didn't make one post between like may 25th and about August 1st, I was working all summer; I was assigned to a joint federal/local task force down western mass. what I was doing I literally couldn't even look at topix once the whole time. So I've taken months off from posting as well and if I get called off on another assignment like that I'll have to take a couple months off again.
And what exactly do you mean you know people on this thread? I thought you said you've never been up yonder? So how do you know them? You've met them face to face? You know their real name and stuff like that? If you know them so well why don't you catch up with them by email or phone or somethin like that instead of on a forum about a missing girl?

There are definitely a good percentage of people local to haverhill that believe Maura got abducted.
Reminds me of a quote from Maribeth Conway that she put in the epilogue of her series "maura is missing":

"Nearly everyone I have interviewed over the past months suspects foul play."

She interviewed many people for that article, including locals. It's interesting that almost all of them suspect foul play.

But then there are also many many locals who are in complete denial over the whole thing. They don't want to admit that a young girl likely got abducted in their own backyard, or vacation spot. It just kind of ruins their idyllic opinion of their small town, not a very good thought to think of when your going to sleep at night... That there's a murderer on the loose that's never been caught. Even if Maura wasn't killed there are more than enough unsolved homicides in the north country to know for a fact that there are at least a few killers on the loose up there, that's just simple fact.
There is so much denial exhibited in this case & on this thread it's crazy. It could be a case study for a psychology class. Denial is a very real thing and many people cling to it when all logic points in the other direction.

Same thing goes for LE. They won't ever admit they believe she was killed until they have a suspect in handcuffs, not gonna happen. If they admit that then at the same time they're admitting there's not only a murderer on the loose but also that they can't catch the guy. Everything LE has done indicates they believe she was killed, I see absolutely nothing that indicates they think she got lost in the woods. Where are all the ground searches? Where are the searches at her favorite hiking spots? Anything like that that could indicate they think she's in the woods. I see nothing like that at all. They've done like 4 ground searches all in the immediate area, they've done nothing to look near her favorite hiking spots.
They've done nothing like that, what they have done is conduct the biggest criminal investigation in NH history. They would actually look really stupid if she gets found in the woods if you think about it. They conducted the largest investigation ever in NH and all they had to do was look in the woods harder? Aren't good murder police supposed to be intuitive?

How can anyone admit that there was a murder /abduction when there'a absolutely no evidence to prove it happened. While it's a possibility so are many other scenerios.
If...if.... you would stop blaming people maybe people would be more helpful. But you don't really care about that do you or you would have stopped badmouthing everyone when you were told it was doing damage.

The other day he actually admitted to being a troll!
He specifically admitted that he was saying things that he knew were not true to get people to waste their time looking at it and commenting on it. He was laughing because he thought he wasted people's whole night. Fortunately he didn't waste any of my time because I could tell those weren't 'snitch papers' in about ten seconds but the point is that is what he was tryin to do and admitted to it.

He admitted to saying things he knew were not true in order to get responses and waste peoples time. That is the exact definition of a troll. It's crazy, I've seen many trolls before but I've never seen one outright admit to being one..

It's funny cuz when he came back a few weeks ago he said that he's been reading the whole time but he didn't comment because he didn't have anything useful to add to the conversation. Ok, that makes sense but then he proceeds to make post after post about the waffle house, and all the tourist attractions, ithe difference between down south and up north, italian food, some made up dinner with the weirdos here, his time in prison and even maple syrup up 'yonder'. Certainly not anything useful to the topic.

It's extremely difficult in this country to make a libel lawsuit actually happen due to our free speech laws and it's obvious nobody is getting sued from Internet posts.

Haha, good question & I'm really not absolutely certain. Most likely I was at my old house in the Waterville estates in campton. I'd say 99% chance I was there.

At the time I had my house in campton and I had an apartment in downtown Burlington that I would stay at tues, wed & thurs. Generally I drove 112 like twice a week, Tuesday morning on the way to VT and either late thurs night or Friday morning on the way home.
