AppointedNH wrote: <quoted text> I have visited the area in the past, and have visited the site today. Nothing found today, I have contacted SP in the past about items on the poster. The timber landing is a site that is used for loading timber trucks from skidders in the National Forest Service's timber harvests in the area. It's better known as a big gravel hill that can be mistaken as a sandpit or a shooting hill. I live in NH and enjoy the outdoors. This case intrigues me, as I'm sure it does alot of you. In 2004 was this area easily accessible by truck or on foot with snow on the ground? Is it plowed in any way?

This has come up before in other posts about trails, timber trails, fire roads, etc... The feds paint a nice green fence post with retro-reflective markings and easily accessible by foot around or underneath them. Drainage is great on these well maintained roads during the non-winter seasons. I can walk between two ditches and a ten foot wide path in deep snow just as well as the next person. No responders that night came in from 112 westbound from woodstock or 116 S from Easton. 7.8 miles from the intial crash site, most likely not checked for prints until the next storm. Leads for MM sightings eastbound of the accident site were checked a year after the disappearance. A plowed highway ditch can be travelled by foot, not truck. I believe the openings to these roads are plowed to allow drainage to the ditchline and prevent snowmobiles from ramping over the fences.

Nitpicking word usage is an easy task. Sorry I'm not a forum diehard and not familiar with all the names. Try not to read too far into my posts, I'm not an English major...

Is AppointedNh discussing the same area where the duct tape with hair was found? Citigirl now mentions a broken cell phone being found,in what location was it found?

I'm sure they would be thankful for any information you may have.

I'm certain the duct tape location is close to an area I'm familiar with. I have still yet found information on the cellphone find. The serial number was released, the phone could've been id'd if the serial was intact.

Does anyone have the coordinates of the location of where the duct tape was found? Is that available? There are important reasons to know this. And do these questions really need to be asked? Is there any reason to believe that, there actually was hair, that it was human hair, that it was longish, brunette hair and that any of this can be in any way tied to Maura? Or are these questions that shouldn't be asked because there is a pressing need for that to be from Maura? Bill

Appointed- In your first post you said you contacted the NHSP about items from the missing poster. This obviously implies that you found something as you wouldn't just contac the NHSP to ask questions about things on the poster. So the question is did you ever actually turn anything over to the NHSP? Did you collect said item or did you just leave it there and tell LE? Interesting they weren't more interested in what you were saying. Also interesting that they sent you over to troop F. That suggests this may stil be more of an active case then we are being led to believe. That was the whole point of the ccu to investigate cases that are ko longe active, but if you think about it troop F would be the ones who are actually gonna be out there collecting the evidence not the ccu. Interesting posts for sure, it's good you were out there looking, that's exactly what this case needs; more boots on the ground

Interesting they weren't more interested in what you were saying. The answer is, I can't compromise the investigation on little details that may interest a few, spoil a whole caseload in the event that a trial may be held in the future. I would share more with a search partner if I had a search partner, more boots on the ground is a great idea. Snow is coming in though...

I may have some info, as I did find a cell phone, at one point, and contacted a mm site to ask if her phone had ever been missing/recovered. But the phone was then thrown out again. When I went back to find it, it was gone. I never got any response when I tried to find out what type of phone mm had. This was just about 2 yrs ago now.

Thank you for your advice you are more than likely right.Beagle also gave me advice along time ago. He was right so I have tried to change the way I post to others. Your welcome! Ive seen him here badgering you about the whole HS pic.. We all see him here on occasion & he will probably take stuff from here & twist & mold into what he wants to say.. The sad thing is that any little tiny info that you could have shared with us, is no longer safe to add without the thought in the back of your mind that whatever you say can be twisted & end up in some book... I hope that you had read the poem back in Feb that I wrote for your family & hopefully liked it :) & for people asking why LE hasnt made any statements about anything regarding what people may or may not have found, is true in every state.. They neiter confirm nor deny & sometimes they will deny.. If they found hair on duct tape, they cant say in any ongoing investigations.. It could be releated to something totally different & they will keep it to make a case against whatever & if it doesnt have nothing to do with nothing they wont say either just to keep everything for the sake of their info & keep people guessn... They keep everyting "close to the vest" & its the way it should be.. People think they should tell the family, but most they cant because its a fact that people talk.. They let any info out & it could hinder their investigation on any case.. Ive seen them also use "scare tactics" & when all else fails, they will release something very very small or even fake to the press (its been done quite a few times in high profile cases) just going "fishing".. I seen one on the ID Network where they released fake stuff & the real killer was mocking them & privately saying "the cops are stupid, they have it all wrong, this is what happened" & they busted the guy.. Its been a long journey & I hope they are able to solve it cus they said what 80% chance or 75??!! Then everyone will atleast get some kind of closure & some justice..

You would think from them saying there's a 75% chance of charges being brought that they must have some sort of evidence indicating foul play. If they had absolutely nothing then shouldn't they have said there was a 50% chance? If they had nothing, truly didn't know, then it could go either way, that'd be a 50% chance. Them saying 75% means they must have something, or they were committing perjury, it's as simple as that.
