On the ID Show, there was a case about a guy & people kept taking down his posters & they caught the woman on tape.. Its from the Chicago area, I think, I'll look for the episode after work for ya!

Jenkins, all ya have to do is hide a couple of deer cams, they on sale at walmart now..

& to answer why im anon.. everyone knows im in VA.. But certain jobs I cant get on sites & give away my position.. You seen a couple weesk back I was in DC but was still posting, I quickly figured out how to sign in.. I once got cursed out by a Diplomat cus I was sitting outside the office in their super hardwood chairs, been there for hours, so I took off my vest & used it as a cushing for my lumbar.. Well I know for a fact I sat outside closed doors for almost 8 hours & the guy finally walks out & curses me cus im sittn on my vest & "given up a security level".. If my Brother wasnt DOD, I would not have this job..

It dont matter what party, they all the same - very rude.. You carry a G23? Which Gen? I have to wear a darn 3 piece with two shouldered Springfield XD .45 ACPs (I only use 13 in the clip so it leaves less friction on the spring) a S&W model 5946 holstered on the side (Gvt issued firearm, look it up) with a Vest & backup .38 .. It get very very annyoing but the pay is good.. If we go overseas or certain spots in the US, I get to carry my Bushmaster XR 15, modded with a much smaller barrel cus I dont really like the MP.. I have modded it with the "Hell Fire Kit" & they let me carry it over the darn Sig made MP's..

Perhaps the taking down of the posters is not nefarious in nature: Couldn't it simply be a matter of a private citizen and/or business owner, who didn't want the clutter on their tree/board/sign/door? Although many would find this to be a repulsive display of a lack of empathy - others may say that it's the right of the land/business/home owner to grant permission, or deny, as they see fit, for any signage put up on their property.
I can state that I've personally seen posters up at the local shops downtown, and they only last for a day or two. Either wind rips it off - or an employee, following the 'no solicitation' rule removes it, or some punk kid ripping it down....
I wonder why it's automatically assumed that there is an individual with an agenda, tearing down these posters. I'm not denying it's feasible - I just don't think it's likely.
But, playing along - even if it were some random individual with malicious intent - I don't think that necessarily insinuates that the person is the perp. in this situation (should such a perp. exist).
Just some thoughts.
SIDENOTE:(Come and get me, Forum Nazis!! I'm going off-topic!!) I am not a usual moviegoer, and yet I took in the new psychological horror/thriller film Sinister tonight - excellent. No gore, just unadulterated frightening scenes that had me on the edge of my seat. I don't do the gross ones - no blood and guts for me. This was excellent and I'd recommend it to anyone who loves a mystery....so....all of us.)
Obviously there will be some property owners/store owners that'll take down a missin persons poster, that's gonna happen.
If I'm hanging a sign at a store I'm obviously gonna ask permission first.
But the family claims that they hung a lot of posters all over the north country and they all got taken down.
That is weird. Obviously some will get taken down but all of em? How is that not suspicious??

Your statement isn't true. While I can't say with absolute certainty that none of the posters were taken down by someone it is highly unlikely that any were taken down with ill intent. I know for a fact (saw with my own eyes) a couple of posters that were put up long ago get battered by wind and snow from the plows and eventually ended up on the ground and blown into the woods.
This last storm we had blew many "no trespassing" signs off the trees they were stapled onto.
If you come from here you know the wind gusts that come through these mountains and valleys are very strong.
I would think that if someone was running around taking down the posters they would have taken down the one on the big tree with the blue ribbon first as it's most noticeable. JMO

But to be fair, yes my brother got me on with a security unit in northern VA.. Hes been there since the late 80s..

Its a very nice job & idc if u believe me or not.. Thats what I get to carry, have never had to un-holster my sidearm.. Same job I had when I started posting here, same thing ive answered before..

I answered you.. What gen do you get to hold?

Lighthouse has had a serious change In posting style in the last few months.
Last year she was posting because MM was the topic of her debate class. Her team argued that Maura got lost in the woods and she admitted that her team got their asses handed to them. That makes sense because the argument that she's lost in the woods holds no water, logically speaking. In a debate where the moderator is truly neutral and objective that argument is just not going to win. There is just nothing that logically places her in the woods, if the strongest argument you have is 'I think she ran in the woods real quick to think' and 'just because she hasn't been found does t mean she isnt there' your not gonna win that debate.
So she came on, said her debate team lost bad and that she was done posting on the subject, said goodbye to the board.
Before she stopped posting the first time her arguments were always very sane, logical and pretty neutral. She was a good, fair poster.
Then she started posting again a couple months ago with a completely different style. Very argumentative, completely one sided and just with a very different tone altogether. She used to never make posts with the sole intent of pissing people off and talking shit, but now she does all the time. she has become one of the weirdos IMO.
I can see what jwb is saying; if I didn't know better I would swear that someone pirated her account and is posting under her moniker that is t really her. Just a completely different tone and style to her posts.
Idk if someone stole her account or if something happened in her life to cause her to become bitter, but she certainly has made a major change in her posting style.
Hard to say what happened but her style of posting is now 100% different
And why does every registered member, not me, it everyone have their locations hidden? What's up with that? Why are all these registered users so worried about people knowing where they're posting from? It seems very strange to me

Oh I believed you, I did not mean to imply that I didn't believe what you were saying.
U was honestly questioning how that worked out, gettin a job like that with a criminal record, but I also obviously thought your record is worse than it apparently is.
Didn't you say you were in rikers island for a year and half? Howd you come out of that with no criminal record? I didn't think you could stay that long in pretrial unless it's like a murder charge or something. You must have mad loot for some real good lawyers, or damn good luck.
You don't need to get into it, either way I'm glad you were able to make it through your legal troubles and still get what appears to be a pretty damn good job.

And to answer your Q I carry a gen4 G23. Real nice firearm, got it fairly recently, pretty much perfect for me right outta the box. Most guys change to the M or L backstrap that also come with it, usually the M, but It fit my grip just right so I still never even tried either of the larger backstraps. I use a 15 round mag with 155gr HST rounds.

Ahh the gen 4.. I like them very much! Thats a nice sidearm you have.. I use the 15rds but never fill'em cus it hurts the springs/coils over time.. HST rounds are very nice.. & to be nice, you seem to be very smart on what you said about Rikers LOL.. No need to go into it here but it was justified, I promise..

Honestly though.. Down here people ride around with racks full in the back truck window.. I put a pistol on the dash, that is not a criminal, I woulda hid it.. Just a young persons mistake not knowing..

Absolutely correct - IMHO. Of course, there is no drama without someone ripping down posters. If the wind does it, or someone does it because its on their property there is no mystery, no drama, no conspiracy. The drama and conspiracy is the only thing that some people really enjoy about this site. I mean, lets face it, a young girl running away and maybe getting lost and dying in the forest isn't really that interesting for some of these people. The family of course wants answers but, how many of these types would stick around if that was what happened? Its better for the story to add as much drama, and intrigue. People would be more likely to stick around and then you get the damaged people who are here to hurt others for some injustice they feel they suffered. Others clearly appear to be bored because they seem inclined to make things up and spend incredible amounts of time here. Others are here to add intrigue by making up stories and I call them stories because there is no evidence to back up what they say.

Ummm??? Really? You've seen a whole bus load of people run into the woods??? I find that very unbelievable, and based off the fact that your making up facts about the snowfall I'm gonna have to call bullshit.
When did this happen? Why did they run into the woods? How much snowfall was there?
Why possible reason would a whole bus load of people run into the woods for? Shit makes no sense
It was on fire and they all ran into the woods.

As for the snowfall totals, etc., That has been rehashed a million and one times as well. Especially on websleuths.

thank goodness someone other than me is pointing out the rehash and redundancy, not only in one place, but over several sites and over many years. by pure genius or dumb luck, someone expects to squeeze out a bit of new information from the old.

step two is usually to pad the stale, tainted premises with made up, pseudo "facts" to create hundreds of new posts. back to occam's razor / KISS...the answer must be something obvious, as nothing has been overlooked.

Ummm, did you read bills response?
He said absolutely nothing about any fire. He said its wasn't that bad of a crash.
He said that it was a bus full of drug mules who ran into the woods to hide their drugs LOL, as if the people would've just come outta the woods and said 'oh I was just hiding my drugs real quick'

Speaking of Maura's missing poster, the first missing poster of hers I saw after traveling I-91 north
to 302 in the summer 2004, was at a popular hiking trail next to Bretton Woods.

I spent the week in the area and it was the only one I saw.

I recall seeing posters hanging up in the early years of Mauras disappearance. I was in the area of Franconia,Haverhill,Woodsville and Vermont.

I believe Franconia. I cannot give an exact location because I did not put them up. The message was relayed to family by the person whom is unknown to me that put posters up. I wish I had more info but unfortunately I dont.

What percentage of posters that've been put up have been taken down would you estimate?

I'd say it's gotta be an easy 95% of posters that've been put up have been taken down.

That can't be attributed to wind and rain blowing them down. Somebody has taken down the majority of missing poster and you really gotta ask yourself why..why would somebody do something like that?
