Who is ken fishman? How would one go about gettin in touch with this guy?
I'm sure Tom Shamshak knows him, too. Shamshak was a detective in Somerville for quite a spell - so he was, let's say, familiar with people like Steve Flemmi. But this has nothing to do with any transfer from WP to UMass. Just interesting side junk.

Is it just me, or does Topix sometimes feel like Jeopardy? I'll take "Is this related to the Phillips Street rental?" for $100 Alex.

The problem I have is why didn't the family check the cell phone bill earlier? They have MM's phone records to see where she was calling. It was on her cell phone bill that billy's mother gets. They waited to call until September. Thats makes no sense to me.
Same problem with the computer. It reportedly sat untouched in a closet for months and family never even tried to access the contents. I donīt buy that. Esp. after learning there supposedly was a computer wizz in the family.

Can't say where or when he saw it. Just that he claimed to have seen it. He recognized the car from the photo right away on his own, so I'm fairly sure he knew what was up with the car. Tami's bf might be able to help, but don't know where he is.

RC might have advised them to keep their hands off. Computer may have been originally returned to family with the intention of picking it up later to see what had been looked at. Did UMass return computer and NHSP pick it up? Lots of rumors about this.

Reportedly there was a student who saw Maura get into her car and/or drive off from the parking lot on the day she disappeared. Wonder if this witness saw damages to the Saturn? And exactly where did this all take place, where was the Saturn parked? There has been rumors the Saturn was kind of hidden away or parked in an unusual manner. Anyone know more?

Jesus bob. hx is used in medicine to abbreviate for history. I'm sure not everyone knows this, but it took a two second search on google to find the answer.

Most likely it was Maura. I believe it has pretty much been established (well, more or less) MM was on a scheduled break at the time the Vasi incident happened and she made her 7 min phone call. Wonder if the $4000 was returned to the bank account?

I'm absolutely astonished at how dated seems this op-ed piece in today's NYT. Maybe Bruni would have done a better job if he'd posted anonymously on Topix.

He used the word "broach" correctly though. Big points for that.

Most likely? Why? What criteria do LE use in establishing the reliability of an identification? How far up the scale you think a quick conversation with someone in the dark, from inside a school bus, a brief conversation with someone SBD had never seen before, how close does that come to reliable?

We have been told that MM didn't tend to wear gloves. If that is true, then presumably her fingerprints would have been all over the steering wheel of the Saturn, to the point that it would have been obvious that no one else had been driving that car when it crashed on Rt. 112. Fingerprints also probably on the AAA card, door/s, trunk lid. This all depends on whether or not LE took prints from the car.

my GOD. I refused to answer his multiple questions, so innocently and eagerly asked. It is highly doubtful this person was admitted to any institution of higher learning, and it certainly doesn't mesh with his claims to have attended college or to be currently be working in a profession or skilled environment.
Jenky has landed another jolt to the image he consistently attempts to build. I think his world experiences are based on buddies he knows here and there; so painful.

Remember, Emmett, every sight, sound and rumbling is connected to the disappearance of MM. Just say a word or phrase, then draw a line to Amherst or Woodstock/Haverhill. Baddabing!!! Try...Obama! Connected!! Wow!

Bulger & F. Lee Bailey, OMG.. A former gangster that turned states & skipped went into hiding & was brought back, what, last year? Early this year? & Bailey is prolly one of the best Lawyers in America, surely one of the most prominent.. I dont see how anyones never heard his name..

Even if Jimmy was president of Umass Amherst, I doubt the family had the connects to pull all that off but if they did, they would know what all happened cus you dont mess with people like that..

Whitey just turned out to be a glorified snitch...

I wanna make a comment on this.
First of all, all the damage to her car did not happen at the WB curve, it just didn't. There's no way to damage below the bumper and above the bumper without damaging the bumper. The damage below the bumper is perfectly consistent with hitting a snowbank. The damage above the bumper is not. That damage did not occur at the WB curve.
That is very unique dent, not something seen often. It's a sharp dent, but there's no indication it hit anything hard like a bumper or anything like that, absolutely no scratches.
I've only seen one dent in my life that ever looked similar to that, and that was when a friend of mine hit a pedestrian in high school. The dent was nearly identical to what is seen on mauras hood.
I challeng anyone to find a picture of damage from a snowbank or a tree that looks anything even remotely close to the damage to her Saturn.
What's interesting is that way back on the oringall mm and MMM forums there was a bunch of us, me included, that felt that the damage was not caused at the WB curve. We were theorizing about another accident. Well the PI's hired and eccosent reconstruction specialist and her confirmed exactly what I and others had been saying all along; that the damage to her car was not caused at the WB curve alone. There must have been anote accident that car was involved in at some other point
Whhoooooooooooooosh.

There goes that windmill again.

I know, I shouldn't have answered it. It is amazing the lack of basic research skills that he doesn't seem to possess. None of what he says adds up.
