Judged: 2 2 2 I don't know. A few things were passed on to appropriate sources. IMO, whether Maura was ever there or not, something out of the ordinary was happening at this place. I would have to suspect that LE was aware of the happenings of Mountain Lakes, as this general location was the site of a very sad domestic situation that helped CS earn a bump in rank. |

Judged: 2 2 Thank you Mcsmom, yea I am sure LE is aware of the situation there. I went bye the A frame last summer and the place is just trashed and vacant. I got a very strange vibe from the place. How was your last Hike? |

Judged: 1 1 1 Hi Emmet, didn't mean to instigate anything, sorry! |
Judged: 1 1 I got a strange vibe there as well. I spent this past week at Mansfield, went to the Mountain Chapel last Sunday. Of course it's hard not to think of Maura while I'm there, but a few times I thought, based on Maura's "Notes to Nana", there's just no way Maura would not contact her family if she could. Her character was evidenced in her writing, and that persona would have reached out by now, someway, somehow. . It's very difficult to hike in the winter, without the proper footwear... |

Judged: 2 2 2 You stated you did not bring up Rooney (true)Your short post made it sound like you did not bring up Rooney to the state police. Don't be fresh. |

Judged: 1 1 1 She was under constant attack from Wowzer but always took the high road. There are certain posters on this forum that have never ever given any input or contributions to this thread but to insult posters. Mrs Ayotte addressed that issue with NH laws. |

Judged: 1 1 Hi Cervidae! You need not apologize to me, no one instigated anything.. I noticed your points & agree with them.. I was not angry when I posted or anything of that nature.. I have met several Catholics that post here, through emails/phone calls/PMs/etc; & Just hoped for one day that people wouldnt argue.. I didnt expect anyone to really listen to me, it was just a thought that honestly I probably shouldnt have posted.. Like I promised, I am not going to argue with anyone nor provoke anyone.. Maybe what I said was wrong & maybe I just thought that a day of peace would be nice :-) I shouldnt have even replied to Snowy, just the "kumbya" reference is a protestant view & generally looked upon in a negative fashion, especially in Pop Culture, BUT I am not familiar with many terms used by New Englanders & maybe I took it wrong.. Most of the stuff we share gets lost in translation.. Either way, I didnt mean to offend anyone at all.. I was in a very happy mood & just posted with my heart instead of my head.. |

Judged: 1 1 1 Honestly, & I get what your saying about the "harsh" part, NOTHING would keep me from atleast trying to find my daughter.. I would have to be locked up or incapicatated.. Thats just IMHO & POV.. |

I agree with you about that. Drugs or underage drinking at a party might be a contributing factor to "forgetting" who was there -- not wanting to get anyone in trouble. But after a while of her good friend being missing, I would think that she might come forward to the authorities about what she knew, or if not then at least let Maura's family know what she knew. Especially once FBI was questioning Maura's Amherst friends. |
