He regularly has no idea where he has been or what (usually very embarrassing) things he has gotten up to.

I'm not a party girl and never lived in a dorm so I'm not sure what dorm parties are like, or if theirs was a large gathering (including other random people from the dorm) or a small gathering of their regular/mutual friends. Only names I remember seeing mentioned was Sara and Kate.
