In front of three houses where people were periodically watching the accident scene. The chances that an abductor whom she did not know happened to drive by on that road in that small window is really nil. I certainly don't believe it. Aha the sleuthers have come alive. I don’t think the perp just happened by, I think he followed her from town (Woodsville). My point was that nobody saw Morgan being abducted in a busy, well-lit area, ergo it's very plausible that nobody would have seen Maura being inveigled into a vehicle. The school bus driver stopped to help but the other residents stayed in their houses and it doesn’t sound as if they were gawking out their windows 100% the entire time. Or perhaps they were just shortsighted. I highly doubt she was driving in tandem with anyone else that night. Why wouldn’t she have taken her toiletries if she was being whisked away for the evening? It makes sense to me that someone offered her a lift back to town (or wherever) and then harmed her.

Now throw in a smile and a few jokes and the public swarms to the forum. Keep your eyes on the audience. It might surprise you. Also agree with this.. I will not lie, I do like mystery movies (fiction) & unexplained "phenomana" But not in the form of missing people.. I like fact based explanations as they lead to the truth.. The statement I made about the other episode I just watched was just saying that she was so close to my hometown but I never had heard of it & thought maybe many had not heard of MM either.. Not to compare.. While I like to joke & have some "simple talk", I know right from wrong & base any opinions that I can really have on this case with cold hard facts and since there arent many, I really dont have a "well thought theory".. Plus add that I was 8yrs late & I know prolly less than 10% of what yall have seen over the years.. I guess in short, while we may not always agree, I do agree with your fact based way of thinking on aspects of a case & always have.. Ive been here almost a year & still see the same stuff that I seen a year ago being used.. I guess I caught the topic with some "hype", so to speak, cus of the ID show & Renners blog.. & while I do say some dumb & even down right rude stuff, I still believe in facts & always will..

still missing the obvious. still clinging to a foregone conclusion <abduction and violence> that is not necessarily supported by what little evidence exists. reasonable, intelligent people keep an open mind...all possibilities exist, with the probability that some are more plausible than others. ok - simply stated, certain folks insist on connecting the dots that are separated by too much space, and it's still too premature to do so.

I believe he also entertained us with quotes from literature. This is all fine and good as far as I'm concerned, but to then act offended that others might go off course is hypocritical and asks us to forget the history he just created a few pages back... Were you here when he threatened to throw eggrolls at me if he saw me in a restaurant. That was a hoot. Since he's never seen me I prayed he wasn't going to the few Chinese restaurants around here and throwing eggrolls at the noggins of every woman he thought might be me. I listened to the scanner for days for anyone reporting an eggroll assault.:)

Exactly Very well said. Unfortunately there's many more theories and untruths than there is facts. I doubt we will ever know the true facts to Maura's disappearance or what really led up to it unless Renner or someone else digs them up.

James, What evidence are you finding that has led to your belief that there is a good chance Maura is alive?

Not saying it has anything to do with Mauras disappearance but there was a red pick up truck that I had seen parked in the back yard of one of the witnesses homes that never contacted LE.

Ridiculous & James Renner - From what I can tell Richard Gaikowski is the Zodiac Killer. It is frightening when you read all of the coincidences. I always wonder why that case has so many viable suspects.

Maybe small towns are different, but I don't call LE every time someone has an accident on my street. It happens quite often. Unless I happen to be walking by and someone asks me to phone for help, it wouldn't even cross my mind to call LE if I saw the person was alive and able to walk around their vehicle. Especially if they saw the bus driver stop. It also wouldn't cross my mind that the person would later turn out to be missing. Citigirl, did you ever talk to the person who owned the red truck?

I maintain the tandem driver took MM to a new life, but it feel like there are times that people can walk out of existence.
One of my twins disappeared for 30 minutes once and I swear she blinked out of existence. I methodically checked every conceivable nook she could have hid in and she was gone. After I drove like a madman around our neighborhood screaming her name I came home and she showed up back in the hallway.

Citigirl - if you read the Kitty Genovese case you will consider yourself lucky that you got a 2/3 respose. Kitty was actually being pursued by a criminal and nobody called LE.

I'm in a story telling mood apparently.
Once coming home from my business I found a car sitting on its side in a muddy field right next to my neighborhood. My wife and I rand into the field and the car was empty, but blood on the steering wheel. We got back in the car and drove around and found the driver wandering. I called 911 and put it on bluetooth speakerphone. We offered help and she kept saying no. I thought she was delirious, but my wife thought she was drunk. The police showed up and she took off like a bat-out-of-hell towards some woods.
She was a huge alcoholic with a long record, as it turned out.
If there was no tandem driver that is my second scenario, not an abduction. She took off into the woods to avoid the police and who knows.

The reason I asked is because if they saw the SBD stop they probably figured there was no need to call the police. If a car goes off the road up here in the wintertime the driver usually goes to the nearest house and asks for help to either help push or pull their vehicle out with chains. I've gone off the road twice in the past. One time a neighbor stopped and pushed me out of the bank I was stuck in and the second time two young guys stopped and pulled my car out with a chain. No police were ever called although several people saw my car off the road.
