WTH-the-original wrote: <quoted text> SB hasn't contributed here for many months so she might need a refresher on how this actually works. You can obviously repeat any reasonable theory and call it that, a theory, while backing it up with evidence. Has been done by many with nary a cross word. Well except by some that don't understand the logical process. You may also spout bullshit and give no evidence and expect many people to spank you for spouting bullshit. You may also spout pure unadulterated speculation and stating it as such can also go on your way with not a scratch. Some might ask why you think that, but hopefully you would have thought far enough ahead that you would have an answer. And the last category is asking questions that have some basis in logic. They are always appreciated but be aware you might not get an answer because there is a lot in this case that is unknown. Now the spouters that try to crouch questions in a manner to make them appear as fact (we have a couple of those people here), have also gotten body slammed in the past. The reason is that there is so much that is not known, several of us don't want to contaminate it with harebrained theories and gross unsubstantiated rumor. That doesn't help Maura or anyone else. And the people that have been here, try to make sure evidence creep doesn't happen. It is unfortunate that there are some who think it is their right to turn Maura's disappearance into a Lifetime made for TV movie by making "facts" up. Especially making up "facts" on the backs of people who had nothing to do with her, except in some cases to help her. There have been people here in the past whose entire function was to accuse and point fingers at people who had done nothing except to try to help. And some locals have become the subject of a witch hunt by some. That type of activity was something that eventually wasn't tolerated in the past and I suspect still won't be tolerated anymore. Again, one has to wonder if we would even be talking about this if Maura had just stayed at the car like she should have. Oh, and those that want unfettered access to any unsubstantiated half-assed theory that they want to bellow about. Always has Webslothes. A kinder, gentler place were any half-wit with their mommy's computer can speculate to their hearts content. It is a place that it is possible to spout unsubstantiated bullshit and have others agree with you, and add to the height of the bullshit, rather than using the scientific method that questions how you derived that theory. Welcome to Topix. Bill geeeee, i didin't have the energy to give it another shot, so thank yeeee for doing it for me. my purpose is narrowed down to pretty much the same as yours...smelling and alerting to BS no matter how sweet the cover-up perfume may be. i don't have the SAR piece...which is a bonus in your pocket.

Just saying..... Frankly, I thought that was good enough because I don't have a lot of time to waste on your stupidity. And I think most recognize the level you operate on so I'm not really worried. Bill

Especially when the red truck is brought up. Or the trees perhaps. Maybe the damage to the saturn.

One I know of, someone mentioned it here last year, was found almost 7 years later working in another state & didnt even know she was on the missing list.. I think she was from Texas.. There are quite a few more, I dont know about how "similar", but young adults have been known to just take off, fed up, tired off this or that, etc; & then you see a headline like - "** years later, Missing Man/Woman Found" .. Usually in another state & some even using their real names & SSNs..

JWB wrote: <quoted text> Not to speak for Tang but his post reads near Bunga RD and not on Bunga road as you state. RO noticed the truck first as she was walking up the hill and that is near Bunga RD (the truck slowed). She later saw the Red truck at the store. It looks like Tang is talking about the same red truck. I misread. Your correct that Tang said near Bunga RD and not on Bunga RD. Sorry Tang. It is unknown as to the exact location that RO stated seeing the red truck.

I am just going to throw a thought out there- bash me if you will or enter into a conversation. My opinion/ Thought is If Maura did Indeed start walking east she would have quickly realized that the area is very vacant of civilization and lighting. I realize that the moon was bright that night but just the same the area can be creepy even while driving in a car. The road is very narrow and most of the camps are seasonal and are not vacant in the Winter. I really just can't imagine a young female going very far on that stretch of road without freeking out. The terrain to the right side of the road slopes up and there have been wash outs on that side of the road. A very difficult venture if she wanted to wander into the woods. If Maura decided to cross over the left of the road then you have the river and then dense woods. I can see someone just wanting to get off that dark scarey road and hang for a bit. If Maura did cross the frozen river then that is a very baron area of thickly wooded area that I don't believe anyone really ventures to. I know there are some roads on the other side of the river but I have never traveled on them, I want to say they are accessible as you go over the covered bridge but that is just a guess. Any other local or person that knows the other side of the river have any thoughts about the road system or traffic over there if any?

There are many that Pan for gold on the street side of the river so if she died on the street side of the river she would have been found. The other side of the river is what makes me wonder- Nobody goes over there as far as I can tell but again not absolutely positive.

The other thing I want to say CW (if credible) said he saw someone jogging that darted up a sandy side road (IIRC) well if that was Maura then how could LE have spotted footprints anyhow if the road was plowed? Again just throwing thoughts out to think about.

Bill yes I see them often myself but I wonder if anyone really goes on the other side(into the woods)? I don't believe there are any homes at all over there but like i say, I have never taken those roads as you cross over the bridge past the stage coach shoppe. I will google it again I guess to see the road system. Are there trails over on that side of the river? I really don't know much about that side.
