Tomorrow night, NBC Dateline is doing a special on the murder of Mickey Shunick (Brandon Scott Lavergne convicted & serving life sentence @ Angola) in May 2012. Mickey carried mace and, by all accounts, would not have gotten into a stranger’s truck willingly. There were houses that backed onto the green space where she was bumped and abducted, yet apparently nobody heard a thing. Thank goodness for security cameras, good policing and a tip from an acquaintance who thought Lavergne was acting squirrelly after the fact.

You gotta remember that RO wasn't the only person who spotted this red truck acting suspiciously. There was another witness, one that we don't know who it was, who also spotted the red truck parked on the side of BHR with its passenger door open and the driver not in the truck. Apparently this behavior was so odd that this witness actually reported it to LE that night, which is likely why LE in the area seemed to have an affinity for pulling over trucks later that night, specifically several red trucks.

To me it seems pretty apparent that LE believed that red truck may have had something to do with MM, at least that night. I think they still do think the red truck had something to do with it but that's just my guess, it's unclear and they're not talkin so unless something big happens in this case, we may never know. To me it seems like identifying the red truck and its driver is the key to this case, but that also is unclear at this point.

But it does seem like this red truck was someone local, or at least knew the area fairly well because of the fact they were parked on BHR and went up BHR most likely, you don't take that rd unless you know the area & gps was not very common in 04, not like it is today.

The mischaracterization of what I said was completely uncalled for and truly made me sick, these people literally make me sick. I was using it as a descriptive term in a very different context than me saying that I personally think she is not, which I would never say.

These posters know that, but they just don't give a shit; these trolls clearly have no morals, no proper sense of what's rght and wrong and what's the decent thing to do in our society.

It appears to me especially after yesterday that you are aligning yourself with these horrible people who are trolls on a thread about someone who is supposedly a relative of yours. I know the original citigirl said she only met Maura twice so she obviously didn't really know her, but still. I have a hard time believing that ANY relative of Maura's would ever align themselves with these awful excuses for human beings.

It's clear that they're only hear to disrupt the conversation, to make personal attacks against nice posters who are trying to discuss a case of a missing girl who's likely been murdered. They also openly admit they they do NOT care about Maura at all an say that quote frequently. They only attack people, talk about mindless drivel, and talk about how big if a waste if time this forum is; yet they're here all day every day and have been for years.
How can the people who say they don't care about maura, and think the thread is a huge waste of time be the people that are here MUCH more than anyone else?
How can someone who is supposed to be a relative of Maura, even If she didn't really know her, actually align herself with these horrible people? That makes no sense to me.

I'm going back to ignoring these idiots and their moronic posts about nothing/personal attacks, but I am not going to stop posting or looking into this case, in reality their whole BS yesterday only inspired me to take a closer look at what's going on & dig deeper. There is something seriously wrong with this picture here & I would like to know what that is, If only for my own curiosity.

Agree 100%. Red Truck follows her from Woodsville and at some point is forced to pass her on 302 or the beginning of 112. He passes RO walking on the road and then pulls into SSS to wait for the Saturn.

Maura passes by and then spins out at WBC. He offers her a lift, ostensibly back to town, but heads up BHR and she becomes horrifyingly aware of his evil intentions and fights for her life. Afterwards he stops on the side of BHR for a breather (and to check on the status of his quarry) and then takes off again. At that time he is spotted by a local resident, who then calls the police to report a person in a Red Truck acting suspiciously.

When RO reported the Red Truck to local LE (the following week), they were very quick to dismiss it, which IMO is telltale that they already knew about the lurking truck and the likely connection to Maura’s disappearance.

I keep going back to Michael Nicholaou for this. I know he lived in Georgia in 2004, but he had ties to Mass.(army buddies who could have loaned him a truck) and he had a grandmother in Vermont who he was known to visit.

Reynolds wrap, the manufacturer of tin foil has reported a sharp, unexpected increase in sales for the last quarter of the year here in the north east and it appears the trend is continuing into the first quarter. There is speculation in the company that this hip, modern and hot trend of making hats out of it may have something to do with the increase. Keebler, a subsidiary of the foil manufacturing giant also has seen a recent spike in sales and say's they may have to set up another a new "branch" for manufacturing some where in the enchanted forest.

Oh Frosty, I'm certainly no esteemed scholar. I've stated numerous times, that I am just mere high school drop out with a GED.. ; )
I have tried my best to educate myself, but as Major Dog do pointed out, there are large gaps...I will confess that I have some college education, but sadly, no degree, not even close..I was one of those fortunate children that wasn't allowed to watch TV very much growing up, so I read and read and read. Did the whole Narnia series at the age of eight. I will further inform you that, and I admit it is a bit of a weakness, I struggle with modern literature because there are still so many classics that I haven't read. Not only have I read all of the writers I posted about. I have literally consumed every auto biography and autobiography I could find about them. In some cases like Hemingway's, although I have read every single word he has ever written, I find the life's they have lived even more interesting than there books. Same with Mr. Poe the exception being that I am just astounded by his genius. Please feel free to ask me any questions concerning any of these writers I mentioned. AS I said, I haven't much to offer on current authors, with a few exceptions, but as my sister, also a strong reader says, the trivia I have absorbed concerning the ones I have studied is could fill volumes...

The red truck was parked beside the road on BHR approx. 1/3 to 1/2 mile up the hill, close to Longfellow rd.

After You pass Forciers house @#1 BHR there are no houses oon the right side of the road til after you go bu Longfellow rd.
