It was at this point that I realized I needed to call a family meeting and plan an intervention. Wish us luck. The old gal's been known to get a little ornery when anyone challenges her power.. ; )

JWB wrote: <quoted text> Sorry - I know you are talking to Jenkins and I am sure he will answer you also. You are failing to look at the time the call was placed by FW to get total time at the car. 19:27 call from FW 19:29 enroute 19:46 arrive Took LE 17 min to get to scene 19 min from FW call to LE arrive Maura was seen at car just minutes prior to LE arrival so the odds are she was at her car for at least 15 minutes. Also as Tang pointed out FW didn't call 911 immediately so tack on several more minutes. These are FW words also. I would rather believe the dispatch record over the police report that was filled out a week after the accident. Maybe someone can talk about if dispatch auto records times. there was also a state trooper at the scene.

The RED Truck being the solution to this mystery leaves some people with an agenda. The agenda being...."Squash all talk about anything to do with RED Trucks" This is more than just a concern for these posters to keep the rest of the forum straight. Yeah right......!

Why does the RED truck parked beside the road on BHR bother Wowzer so much. Deny as much as you want it was there on Feb. 9th 2004 just minutes after the bus driver left the driver of the saturn.

Frostman wrote: <quoted text> My sentiments exactly. JWB, what would typically be the difference in temperature between Whitefield and Woodsville this time of year? I always thought it would be more accurate to use Wunderground Historical data for St. Johnsbury rather than Whitefield to determine the temperature at WBC on February 9, 2004. What's your opinion? Frostman we once borrowed a vehicle that read the outside temperature. The temperature changed while driving down rt 112. Some areas were 10 degrees colder than other areas.

At 19:43 hanover disp. called about 911 call from SBD res. They adv. one female, No PI, but shook up. Disp. called Atwood res. "Woman adv. her husband saw the crash and came here to call.......BUT NO IDEA WHERE THE FEMALE IS." Why would she have said this if Butch had just left the female driver at the car.

That's a great question tang, how does that make any sense at all? So FW calls at 7:27, which is likely a few mins after she crashed. And then at 7:43 Sbd's wife calls in and says that they have no idea where the female is??? What do they mean they have no idea where the female is, didn't he just leave her at the car 5 minute before that? At that point shouldn't he think he knows exactly where she is, which would be at the car? That whole statement really makes no sense at all if you think about it. And people wonder why SBD was questioned as to whethere he had any possible involvement. I'm not saying he did but it does look like he thought she was missing a little early. Why would he say that when he had suppposedly just left her at the car???

It is My belief that SBD saw exactly what happened and remained silent to not get involved. Hence the story changes.

Just want to make an observation, no sarcasm intended, that there has been 8 hours of uninterrupted talk of the red truck.(starting with mcsmom complaint that it is a forbidden topic, not in her words) And yet there are only a handful of posts.

Sequence of calls is such that (1) Atwood goes home. Calls 911. Goes back outside to bus. (2) Smith arrives. See's that there isn't a female at the Saturn. He asks dispatch to get in touch with the 911 caller. (3) Dispatch calls back Atwood who is on the bus so they talk to Atwood's wife. Dispatch's notes say "woman adv her husband saw crash .. etc etc......"

Why would he say that when he had suppposedly just left her at the car??? Could SBD possibly have walked back to Maura´s car and then finding her gone? That is in my mind the only reasonable explanation for that statement. I also have some problems relating to the statement that SBD "saw the crash". How could he actually have witnessed the accident happen, when he apparently arrived at Maura´s car after the Saturn was already stuck at the side of Rte 112? SBD must surely have been somehow misquoted here...

Again, dispatch called the Atwood's back after Smith arrived at the scene and discovered no female at the Saturn. SBD's wife didn't call in...... I don't have dispatch notes in front of me. But look again.
