Judged: 3 3 3 Bumping this up from the MMM Facebook Group, member (KR): "There was as I recall a "person of interest" who lived in close proximity to where her car was located. We were instructed explicitly not to go on his property and that he had an attorney who had gotten a court order barring us from accessing his property in any way.” "In my heart, I truly wish I knew what happened but I am confident, Maura did not harm herself and, did not succumb to the elements.” "If you will permit me to ask now, how is Maura's dad? I understand this never goes away from him and my condolences mean little, but I can sympathize with him.” More here: http://www.facebook.com/groups/11234587879193... |
Judged: 3 2 1 What exactly does that explain? Please elaborate. But yes, 5th grade in 89, i believe, maybe 8 8, that would make me 33 today, how old are you if you don't mind me asking? Does that explain why I use correct numbers from verified sources when I post things as opposed to pulling them out of mmy ass like you do, as far as I can tell that's your method of 'research'. Remember your research said it took Smith 10 minutes to respond when anyone can plainly see it really took him 19 minutes, nice research dick, really accurate. It's funny that you would say something obviously referencing my age because last night when I clearly showed that your 10 minute time frame was total BS you took the childiish way out. Instead of just admitting that you were wrong like an adult should do you decided to act like a 5 year old and try to change it by saying something about how you were talking about how ong she was actually sitting in the car. LOL. You know damn well just like I do that we were never talking about how long sshe was sitting in her car for, we were talking about how long it took smith to arrive on scene. Soo childish,'oh wait i'm wrong? NO,, I wasn't talking about that! I was talking about something different'. I'm wondering how old you are now out of curiosity but it really doesn'y matter bc you debate like a child. You throw out bogus numbers and when questioned for a source you say 'my research' lol, then when you're proven to be 100% completely wrong you pretend you were talking about something different. LOL,iit's actually hilarious tthat you would say something about my age ater showng how childish you really are. But I guess that's life, ever notice how liars always accuse other people of lying to take attention away from themselves, same thing here. Someon acting childish saying something about someon's age,, VERY ironic |

Judged: 3 3 3 Thank you for this info. I do recall one of the detectives telling me that a local owner did not allow access to his property. I, of course do not know if this is the same one. Didn't know that a lawyer and court order was involved. |

Judged: 2 2 1 Post #1) "Thank you for accepting my request. I am a retired NH trooper and my only involvement with this case was that I was one of the many that did the line searches in the area. This was the large one day organized event. Are you able to update any of parts of the case? I am a father of two girls, now 22 and 24 but I would be devastated if I had to deal with this issue in my life. Please let me know if anything has changed since 2004? I know many who were part of that case have since retired...but her father can never retire from losing his daughter.” Post #2) "First let me say, I was not, nor am I today, purvey to much of the facts or evidence. There was as I recall a "person of interest" who lived in close proximity to where her car was located. We were instructed explicitly not to go on his property and that he had an attorney who had gotten a court order barring us from accessing his property in any way. We were assigned in teams and the "search" was a slow and concise walk along and through designated zones. The "zones" were overlapping and if we located any item, literally "any" item, we were to stop, and each team had a person who would document and collect anything located. I can not speak to the administrative reasons for areas to be searched, or direction or the duration of the search. I can say with complete sincerity that every one involved took the day very seriously. We all knew why we were there and what we were looking for....which was any thing that might give a direction to the investigation and determining what had become of Maura. You asked what my thoughts were at the time and the best I can say in speaking to that is, I'd like to have some to alone with the "person of interest". I still feel that way today. But that's the cop in me and society frowns on such actions, maybe they are right. Some cases are never solved and that is always a bitter pill but the reality of mankind. In my heart, I truly wish I knew what happened but I am confident, Maura did not harm herself and, did not succumb to the elements. I also know God is righteous and one day, there is some one who will answer for what happened to her and I do not believe He shows mercy on such creatures. A final note about the search. The state police did not organize that with whomever was available. My troop assignment was Troop A, on the sea coast. Haverhill is a long drive and it was a long day, though I understand that one long day pales compared to the every long day for her friends and family. I hope this may answer some of your inquires of me, though I suspect you know much more than I do again, my part was minuscule. If you will permit me to ask now, how is Maura's dad? I understand this never goes away from him and my condolences mean little, but I can sympathize with him.” Post 3) "Little Tammy Balanger from Exeter has never been found....everyone knows who is responsible but there had never been enough to charge him. Another reason I believe in God..... These acts are accounted for, one day." |

Judged: 2 2 1 Jenkins raised an interesting point re why did SBD's wife say they didn't know where she was, when supposedly -- as best they knew -- she was at the car, SBD had seen her there and spoken with her just a few minutes earlier. Then your comment here about SBD having seen what happened and remaining silent so as not to get involved. It's been brought up before that SBD may have seen what happened and didn't want to get involved due to fear of someone. That doesn't hold a lot of water in my opinion. If he witnessed Maura being abducted and knew who took her, then it's hard to imagine that he would not tell LE what and who he saw. There are bad elements in every community, but seems to me it would be pretty rare for a responsible citizen to keep his mouth shut when a young girl's life was at stake. All he would need do is tell LE "I saw so-and-so pick her up, guess he was giving her a ride." ANYONE might have seen that happen, there would be no reason to be so fearful of retaliation that this could not be said. Then if LE checked with "so-and-so" and were lied to or found anything incriminating, it becomes something else, but unlikely the SBD would be blamed for simply saying he saw someone give her a ride. |

St Jay temp for Feb 9 2004 http://www.wunderground.com/history/airport/K... I did have at one point the weather for Benton that night and (IIRC)it was 33 degrees. If Maura made it to the Wildwood campground the elevation starts going up and peaks at the Appalachian trail near Beaver pond and it gets much colder at that point. |
