In your professional opinion, did MM ever leave Amherst (alive)?
Every day that goes by I believe more and more that something bad occurred in Amherst in the days preceding the 9th. This escalated the issue and things changed big time.

So:
1. Something bad happened to MM in Amherst prior to Feb 9 and
2. Beagle knows what happened?

Beagle knows things but does not realize its importance.

So he´s not an eye witness to a crime against MM? And whateverhe knows relates to Amherst, not to Haverhill?

mcsmom - are you agreeing with Tang? Stating that this is not, in fact, a stunt?

I respect your input on this thread. If you think there is more to it, I'd be inclined to look further into it, myself...

Jenky, maybe he was stalking her?
Maybe he was? Honestly I think that he actually just made a lot of things up. The whole 'assigned parking space' thing tells me that he actually had no idea how the parking really works at umass as there's no such thing as assigned spots on the campus, only lots.

The whole thing he said about how he asked a campus cop about parking and got in trouble was obviously made up too. My gf goes to UMass & I can tell you for a fact that no campus cop would ever think its strange if someone was asking about parking. I can say this bc I've personally asked umass cops about where I'm allowed to park the car and the cop was more than happy to explain where and tell me where the lot I was allowed to leave the car was. They probably get asked this on a daily basis for the first month or two of the semester as it is a kind of confusing system, the confusing part is knowing where all the lots that are the correct color for your sticker are.
Beagle even went so far as to say that his back yard got vandalized after asking this question, which is simply ridiculous. Then on another occasion he said his yard was vandalized after being asked if he killed Maura by RC Stevens. He's actually told 3 different stories about his yard being vandalized in relation to this case, which means that probably none of them are true. He's a weirdo who clearly gets his kicks by pissin people off, as evidenced by the videos he posted last year, I would bet any money that if his yard was even vandalized at all it had absolutely nothing to do with this case but rather he pissed off someone who lived in his neighborhood, or something like that. There's no way that had anything to do with this case.
So to me that's a definitive lie that he made up as an attempt to make himself appear like he has a bigger role in this case than he does, which is none.

As for things like 'she wasn't going to FM's hotel when she crashed the corrolla'; there's simply no way he could possibly know that even if he was stalking her; how could he possibly know where she was intending to go? He can't, it's impossible.

I think that he THINKS he knows what happened in this case and that it has to do with the vasi hit, and that he's made up facts that would seem to support this. That's the only thing that makes sense out of a lot of the things that he's said.

Sad to say that beagle is likely just a lonely old man who wanted to insert himself into this case when he really had nothing to do with it. There is more than enough evidence written in his posts to assert this as being the case.

He doesn't know more about this case and just doesn't know what he knows, that's just plain ridiculous. The guys come up with way too many strange theories and said way too many contradictory things for that to make any sense.

The only way it makes sense is if he was the driver of the red truck with mass plates and he abducted and killed her and he's said all of these things to try to throw everybody off the trail. I don't believe that but that's the only way he could possibly know more about this case. I do wonder where the hell he got that ski pass from. Was he in the area? And If he was why did he keep that pass in such pristine condition?

Something I've always found interesting is that the following week after MM went missing, and possibly again on the 1st anniversary LE set up a road block right where the accident scene and stopped the vehicles that drove by to see who drove that road regularly at that time.
To me that shows that they were looking for someone who may have picked her up. IMHO they've always been looking for the person who picked her up; and they've never really been interested in searching the woods.

They did their intense ground search of the 2 mile radius, iirc it was 2 miles. They also searched the sides of the roads, using a helicopter to search the entire length of 112 from 302 up to N Woodstock looking for tracks leading into the woods. They said the conditions were perfect for tracking and they could see human and animal prints clear as day, but saw absolutely no evidence that any human entered the woods along that route.
This is why they've always said with reasonable confidence that she is. It in the woods near the crash site and they called off the ground searched relatively soon after the crash.
The NHSP knows she ain't Lost in the woods. They've also conducted the largest investigation in recent history for NH into this case. That is clearly a CRIMINAL investigation.
These are murder police we're talking about. They're not going to waste all that time and manpower investigating what they believe to be a suicide or someone simply lost in the woods.
If they thought she was lost in the woods they would be looking in the woods, not conducting the largest criminal investigation in the history of the state.

The NHSP would look like some serious idiots if it turns out MM is lost in the woods, they would look really bad. But they're confident she isn't. It was next to impossible for her to actually enter those woods in reality. 2.5' of snow is no joke. Has anybody actually gone out in their yard and walked around after this storm that we just got?

Anybody who thinks that she ran into the woods either has no clue what it's like to actually walk through deep snow, or they're full of shit, plain and simple.
Bottom line, she is not lost in the woods, that theory is absolutely ridiculous consdering the conditions she was facing and the clothing she was wearing.
This girl caught a ride from someone and was most likely abducted, sad to say but that's the truth.

Somethin Maribeth Conway said in the epilogue to her award winning series on the case is very interesting. This is the article that almost everyone around here considers to be the definitive article on the case.

She said "almost everyone I've interviewed over the past few months while writing this article believe foul play was involved"

That is interesting bc she interviewed all of the major players connected to this case. Obviously most didn't want to say on the record they thoight foul play but they told her that off the record.

It's just interesting that almost everyone who's connected to this case believes foul play occurred. Seems everyone thinks foul play except a few random weirdos that post on here.

Jenkins. I've seen you do this a couple of times now. I can't believe I have to explain this, but apparently I do.

Quotations are used to denote exact quotes. They are not used for paraphrased quotes. What you just did, and have done before, is put quotes around your version of what somebody said. This will lead others to think that Maribeth Conway actually said what you quoted above - she didn't.

She said, "Nearly everyone I have interviewed over the past months suspects foul play." I put quotes around it because I am "quoting" exactly what she said.

Please stop doing this and please read this to educate yourself in the use of quotation marks: http://grammar.yourdictionary.com/punctuation...

Thank you.

Ill be honest. Until I read the Ren's blog. I really thought the only logical situation was foul play. I would have said 99% chance in my book.

Infact I still say a criminal act is most likely the cause of her disappearance.

I mean why keep investigation sealed away from the father if the cops- and 99/100 they have more facts than we do... think it needs to be? Obviously to me the law enforcements actions seem to incate-they think something criminal transpired.

But the trouble Mr. Renner dug up that she was in. All the trouble. The fact that it seems she might have benefited by starting over... in more ways than one. Id hafta say after hearing all that. It leaves me with doubt that maybe she somehow disappeared of her own will.

So it takes my 99% and makes it an 80%.

It also makes me think that in order for her to plan it. She would have needed to call someone to get her.

Ridiculous

Bob just hates to see a void not filled. Everything in his first post on this except for maybe the first paragraph, should have been in quotes at it was copied and pasted from a fairly recent post of his. Literally! I don't feel like looking for it right now, but, it shouldn't be to many pages back.
Bob quoting Bob, mis quoting someone else. Damned lobotomy, I understand why he had it done, but, still, it's a shame....

perhaps Beagle is correct; that he has been relentlessly pursued and accused by anon posters here, and in real life, in the disappearance of MM.

this has been ongoing over many years.

is it any wonder that he appears fragile, and has responded in an unusual manner?

"this case"?
is this public topix thread officially dedicated to an investigation? by whom?
or does the official investigation fall under the oversight of appropriate law enforcement authorities?
please clarify.
