I was thinking about this last night. If Maura didn't escape or tried not to be found because her captors threatened to harm her brother than West Point should consider the heroism of self sacrifice. How else to describe the photo of her brother wedged in a book Bruce would have envied. He prolly saw that on the shelf and smiled. The book itself is all the clue you really need.

Also, Floyd murdered Liko. This was premeditated.

That's why McKay didn't use a vest. He wanted the cop funeral, like the promotion he never got.

Since mace man McKay had oc'd everyone in town, McKay knew his video wouldn't be challenged.
The strut is suicidal.
McKay knew it was his last video.
Brunelll's suicide was 2 weeks later right? 3?

Otoh....not sure there is an established refutation of him being there for alternative reasons besides car shopping. I do think that he may not have wanted to buy a car...his belief could differ from Maura's. I dont believe she would refuse to drive a car when her future depended on it, but drive it when it did not. Ergo...my theory is someone else drove her in the Saturn. Makes more sense then meeting up there. I dont believe the dogs. The getting away was to buy time for reliable transportation...this is my theory. After a death was claimed...she wouldnt be in a position to be seen hanging around campus that week. So she was forced to go with whoever offered to drive her..in the vehicle that was chosen for her by the driver....the Saturn. This is what I think happened. she is alternately portrayed as intelligent / responsible / athletic / trained (at some level) in survival..and then too helpless to choose to drive a car that is rumored to be in poor mechanical condition. i would not assume she was not the driver of the Saturn. she was apparently motivated to leave UMASS.

hannah_b wrote: So now we "know" (well, more or less) going carshopping was not the reason FM was in Amherst that weekend. The 4G was not meant to be a downpayment on a car. FM and MM was out most of the day, but not looking at cars. Where did they go and what did they do? Hannah b....Where did you see this? Or from what did you infer this from? Seems my powers of deduction have failed me or you have made a leap somewhere that I cannot follow...

In Renner's last post. It mentions putting a trace on MM's social security number. Not sure if that is a legal thing to do to another adult. Also makes me think its weird that she runs away a couple months later. Did FM feel that she would runaway from him one day?

I would assume he meant 2004, after she disappeared or perhaps I read it wrong.

Essentially searching for any public records with SS# on it. Does not appear to be illegal since it is using publc records. This guy may have done something much more sophisticated but it apparently can be done legally. The SS Admin will also send a letter on your behalf to someone if you know their SS# but not their address.(just an interesting thing I found)

Now was she the person typing Maura's email to her professors? I think so . maybe it's just me but I have never seen any were mentioned that Mora emailed her security job. I heard she emailed the art job in her professors but that's it am I wrong?
