Perhaps it was a general UMASS Administration mailbox she wrote to. Then the administration could relay the message to all related faculty on her behalf. No clue if that existed but sounds like a fine idea to save a student the trouble of contacting everyone individually in case of an emergency.

In reality it would be more strange if it wasn't done. I find it hard to believe she wasn't suspended from school or at least put on disciplinary probation, let alone keep her secuity job. What kind of school let's student who was caught stealing keep a security job? Def not UMass i can tell you that much

Was she ever convicted of anything? The case was continued for 3 months to be dismissed after 3 months of good behavior so it never went past the stage of her being charged. Would being charged be enough for UMASS to fire her? Innocent until proven guilty? Or did they not stand by the same rules?

Maybe driver inattention was date rape drug. SearcherMe never brought up KM that I recall. Odd so many red flags, so little effort.

All you topix freaks are looking small now. Renner has done a fantastic job because he cares about what happened. You guys care about how you can use this case to have an online identity.

I find the whole "rape accustaion" that is just being thrown out there as quite puzzling myself personally and hard to believe.

There was some hub-bub (as I understand it) from maura's family about a quote that maura's friend said about her in referring to that Saturday night dorm party (the party as what has been reported was quite small and only consisted of maura, sara, Kate and a FEW friends).

The exact quote that was given in the Quincy Patriot Ledger came from Kate Markopoulos and she described maura as being "Somewhat flirtatious" when Maura drank.

Kate also told maura at that party to just go back to her room and wait to meet up with her dad the next morning.

That would be an odd piece of advice to give someone (a friend) who had just been raped ... Hey go sleep it off, worry about it in the morning.

Is there a statement made, by anyone directly involved, that can be believed at this point? Seems as if everyone has a different story depending on the audience.

You should check out the UMass Scool of Nursing undergraduate handbook. Very strict rules.

This is an excellent point. In my opinion the answer is NO. There is very very little information that can really be believed.

And she got raped, knew she got raped, doesn't say anything to the officer at the crash, but decides " I won't say anything" and gets into a tow truck with just the driver. Does that seem like something that would happen? If she was so scared and wanted her father, she wouldn't jump into a car with another stranger.
