I think she was an adventurous woman but not a thrill seeker. She was athletic and seemed to enjoy hiking but that is a very far cry from 'thrill seeker' or 'risk taker'. For some perspective, a 4000 footer in NH is a nice hike but not very dangerous, in my opinion. When my daughters were very young, say 6 to 10, we hiked most of the 4000 footers in the lower white mountains, some were winter hikes. Driving a unreliable car 3 hours away from home falls into the 'irresponsible' or 'stupid' category, not danger seeker. Poor judgement often accompanies emotional distress, in my experience.

did you ever stop to think that telling the private detectives in the investigators is a big mistake? Perhaps they pick and choose what they're going to tell the police. I would go straight to the place with all of your information. What have you got to lose?

Let's see. Maura loved the white mountains Maura had planned her honeymoon to take place in the white mountains Maura regularly climbed 4,000 footers with her dad Maura regularly read and carried books about the white mountains and discussed such books with her friends and work supervisor even if they had no major interest themselves Maura goes missing en route to the white mountains Yet no one can figure out where maura was going that night. (maybe the chatter is all true about law enforcement on the east coast, not being very bright). And Jenky, and maybe it took years for maura to put her inhaler down and walk towards one of those hilly things her dad was always trying to get her to climb. She put her blanky down and mustered up enough strength to step away from her dora the explorer tent and step outside for a few minutes. would that be a more suitable description of maura for you Jenky?

oh well we will have citigirl come save the day soon. She is holding onto all these crucial facts about the case, just itching for the chance to break them loose so the case can be solved. I think maura drank out of a blue cup six nights before she went missing and not a green cup. Maybe citigirl can inform us which one it was, afterall she is family. Oh, but no, she probably doesn't want what color cup maura drank out of at some random restaurant to come out it might impede the investigiation. So she was smart and just turned that goldpot tidbit of info over to the proper investigators. Wow, the people on this forum!!!!!!!!!

then we have james: the lead case solver Renner 99 percent of his posts are editorials with about 1 percent fact (that is a guestimate so please don't cry foul James). He is going to solve this case. Funny how everyone he encounters to interview has got some sort of cloak and dagger spy thing going on in their lives. they are either in hiding, they are "off the grid" as the cool fiction writers might say or they are avoiding him personally because he may just discover that big secret they have been hiding that if found out would divulge the secret codes to the nukes that the russians have been long after. Wow. Just wow!.

Why did you quote my post in your reply orko?
LE no very bright on east coast? That's true, we pale in comparison to those pros in LA. How many rounds did they dire at that truck with the 2 women delivering papers? You know, the ones who looked like a 230 pound black man?

Or driving an unreliable car into the white mountains at dark hours away from anyone you know ... just perhaps might mean you don't give a crap no more too. Oh but wait, some moron is going to come on here and correct me. "Uh, technically you see maura wasn't in the white mountains yet. We have no idea if she was going into the white mountains. She was probably going to drive right up to the national forest, get out of her car walk in circles for 10 minutes, then get back in and change course and drive towards san francisco. That makes more sense." Wow!

Orky? where have you been? have you missed that..... early on, Maura's aura was sanitized of any flaw by a team of family sympathizers. the All American Girl was born. a campaign was launched to tell and retell stories about her disappearance, and those "facts" linger today. embellished, there were / are very few facts to work with. some rumors have since been substantiated by J Renner. why is "family" invested in keeping this Topix thread alive? it is, after all, sometimes appalling. the angle here seems to blame anyone and everyone in the area where her car landed in NH. at the same time, Fred M insists her life prior to her disappearance is irrelevant. as i've said, the mystery is in the mystery of how one family has handled the very public disappearance of MM.

No question they are hiding things before the disappearance. Are they hiding anything after the disappearance?

Lighthouse 101 wrote: <quoted text> You have had no problem mentioning blood - that was never tested or confirmed to be MM's in the aframe, but you never mentioned the vodka bottle. I find that interesting. Is it because the blood on carpet makes it a "foul play' angle, but the vodka bottle makes it look like first party destruction? Do you know what lying by omission is? It was in the media and some one also posted it on the forum. I have in the past stated that the carpet tested positive for blood. I also stated that I did not know if DNA was ever done on it. Where and what was done with the carpet after it was tested has always been unknown to me as I have also stated. Nor did I ever state it was Mauras blood. We believed in foul play long before the 2006 search. I know nothing about the vodka bottle or bottles found on Lime Kiln RD. But I will say we have found quite a few party areas in the woods. There are even areas where people have dumped trash and household items in the woods.

ORKO KRINGER "then we have james: the lead case solver Renner" I thought the case was in the hands of CCU. When did they turn the investigation over to him?

Without Renner this thread would be dead and there would be zero drums beating for Maura. I just don't get the venom against a man that is keeping the hopes of what happened to Maura alive.I really don't understand why a family would shun the exposure. If you want certain things to be said and written then the best avenue would be to express what is known. Le will hopefully solve the case however, it will most likely come from help from the general public. What are the skeletons in the closet that is keeping the truth from coming out?
