I recall on the earliest websleuths MM forum,( which is irretrievable) someone posted that the occupants of the "suspicious" red truck actually went into the Stage Stop Store. This was posted long before the RO story.

Did you ask him what his methodology would be when he requested interviews, or is this just something to say after the fact? I'm not saying what he is doing is right, but don't use hindsight to support a reason. I have read almost every interview and article, and I never see any interviewer ask FM the most basic "why" questions. Is it because they go dumb during the process, or they know what they can and cannot ask?

Thank you Lighthouse. Fred was adamant that he did not want a book written about the case even before I interviewed a single person.

Leave no stone unturned, unless it's not a pretty stone, then it's more important to not embarrass yourself. She's not worth THAT much effort.

There was also a used Saturn dealer across from S&S. However it happened, someone somewhere chose to show the Saturn to BSG.

At least I would understand one tiny part of what Alden is saying.

Willard Wigfield wrote: So what theories in particular make Renner so unpopular on this forum? I don't believe Mr. Renner is unpopular here. Sure there are some who hate what he is doing but from what I have seen, most are supportive of the challenge he is undertaking if not necessarily in the methods he is undertaking them. Personally, despite my annoyance at the RO situation, I support his work and have defended his actions at least in my own small way. There are several who's support is waning or lost by the way he is conducting his work, but it is ultimately his work. Only those among us who wallow daily in the online/investigative/confronta tional journalism that Mr. Renner does, can really speak to manner or ethics that he employs in carrying out his job as the established limits and barriers are always dropping.
