In regards to JG newest post, does the number called to Billy voicemail on 2/9 match the number called on Thursday night??????

The person that "moved on"... if they could trace the call to a specific dorm room, then they could also find out who lived in that dorm room at the time. Claiming they were not able to find out who this person was is just BS.

The New City number... wsn´t that more or less established to have belonged to Billy? On several occasions it called MM minutes after she called Fort Bragg general number (as shown on their website).

FWIW, Julie was based in Ft. Bragg (NC) at the time, while Billy was at Ft. Sill (OK).

ABSOLUTELY! total BS.
it's amazing how the phrasing sticks...."moved on".....and persists for years.

and the stories developed around returning the scrubs.

and the improbable idea that no one knew Maura in her assigned dorm. no one.

the whole story is riddled with gaping holes...holes that perhaps could be filled in, but the public isn't privy to the family's and LE's knowledge base, nor should we be.

from a global view, it's pretty interesting that all of us hang around and chew ideas about one missing person over so many years, a person 99% of us didn't know.
in the interim, there have been local, national and international events, political transitions, and events and transitions in our own personal lives.
and, yet, the hourly and daily review about Maura...which, for the most part, has run its course, but no one ever lets the conversation die.

Wowzer stands for her community and the hope that MM will return, if i am speaking correctly on her behalf.

Sorry, my mistake. I meant Ft Billy. We (several posters including myself) looked into this shortly after the Disappeared show broke.

Massachusetts State Police Col. Timothy Alben couldn't talk about Maura's case specifically because it happened in New Hampshire, but he did say there are only so many resources you can put into a missing adult case.

"With children and minors, there is clearly a lot more activity associated with that. With adults, there would be an investigation but then you question, did they leave voluntarily at their own will," Col. Alben asked.

~ Apparently MM's inclusion as a CCU case is not a definitive indicator to even some LEO's that she met with foul play.~

It took almost a year to pass by before it was confirmed who that dorm dweller was that maura returned her lab coat too and (If I am not mistaken) it was family that provided the info to police and not investigators that dug it up themselves).

How did this person have the security desk landline number? This was supposed to only be available too UMass security.

That person didn't.

Maura called the person in question. Not the other way around.

There was no phone call that came into maura's security desk the night she worked. One media report erroneously attributed an officers quotes (about not being able to track down the person in the dorm) to the mystery phone call maura got at work. The quotes made by police were in fact referring to a phone call MAURA made the monday she went missing and not the phone call on thursday night that supposedly upset maura. Police came to the conclusion that the phone call that upset maura that thursday night was the 10:10 phone call between maura and her sister Kathleen.

The mortgage on the Phillips St. house was held by an autobody person.

Vasi's life-threatening injuries, sustained 2/5/04 on Triangle St., Amherst MA, are consistent with having been hit by a motor vehicle.

Maura Murray's father's Corolla was crashed 2/8/04.

Maura Murray's father's Saturn was crashed 2/9/04.

An autobody person (BSG) saw damage to the Saturn before the Saturn left Amherst and was found abandoned shortly thereafter in Haverhill NH.

The same autobody person (BSG) who saw damage to the Saturn also saw the damaged Corolla.

Police inspected the Corolla after its crash.

The first PI to investigate Maura Murray's disappearance was a certified expert auto crash reconstructionist who does work for Amherst Appraisal, an auto crash appraisal company.

The PI's office has been located for the past few years exactly next to, in the same building as, Amherst Appraisal.

Amherst Appraisal's 2004 office abutted the property of the Hadley motel where Maura's father was a guest.(Amherst Appraisal and the PI's office still abut the motel's property line, but in a newer building.)

The Corolla was, according to a Hadley MA police officer, towed to the Hadley motel where Maura Murray's father was a guest.

A post on Topix, in 2008, stated that, according to an anonymous autobody repairman (BSG), the Corolla was inspected by area police. This post was followed hours later, after dark, by minor vandalism to the poster's property.
