Ed is watching you wrote: A funny thing happened to me tonight while I was catching up on some genealogy. I was doing a basic search on the name Alden Olsen who was my great great grandfather born in Sweden in 1860 and died presumably in Gloucester sometime after 1930. And my search brought me here to your little community. I have never heard of the Maura Murray news story and it is certainly a fascinating subject. What is far more fascinating is the soap opera--the authentic human drama---which unfolds apparently daily in this Maura Murray Universe. Now to be sure, I have seen this before. Repeatedly in fact. This site is by no means unique. But I never fail to be absolutely enthralled when I come upon a site like this. To put it in a nutshell: a group of internet dwellers lay claim to a blog or newsgroup or some other internet community based page, and they defend their little piece of cyberspace by teaming up to attack, mock, badger, threaten, and in general bash and hack at unwanted strangers who happen upon their realm. Sometimes they even fall upon one of their own falling upon the unlucky denison with their word knives and driving him or her out of their midst. I have read the posts in this blog all the way back to its creation and simply find the whole evolution of Maura Murray World just mesmerizing in its scope. What is most interesting is how meaningless and devoid of purpose your world really is when viewed through the lens or point of view of the world of material density and gravitational consequence--ie the real world. You are like the citizens of locker c--18 but not as cute and fuzzy. Here you strut and fret and prance upon your cyber stages anonymously with such emotional and turbulent frenzy while waging your war for that little piece of earth you have claimed as your own territory--even though that little piece of earth exists only in the imaginary realm of ones and zeros. Hail to you good people of Locker--Maura Murray. I solute you Amy, and you Hannah, and you John Green, and you snowy B, and Alden Olsen(who may or may not be my long lost cousin), and you Tang Zoi and you Maruchan, and Ridiculous, and Pippi, and Wowzer, Bill and Benton and all the rest. You have made my life not the least bit better or worse but now I know that you are really there that you exist that you matter. May your long battles never end. May you succede in securing your patch of zeros and ones for eternity. God speed and good luck. Ed Lowe Ha. That's got to be one of the more interesting ways to run across this forum. I'm surprised you were interested enough to read the whole thing. I would probably have clicked away in disgust of us all after a few pages. It's kind of like a reality show, IMHO. Good luck finding more about your great great grandfather.

So we move to the neighboring stall... Mr. Ed, ...you read through this entire thread...almost 1800 pages, nearly 36000 entries in about 8 hrs or less? 75 entries a minute, non-stop? Even if that were believable you go through all that just to tell us what WE are doing is meaningless? Glass houses Mr. Ed, Glass houses. Let me get my shovel...

Since you stopped by we decided to pretend that we know everything about you...and that nothing you said was accurate. We have several opinions about who you really are...one of a number of people we have attacked in the past...and eventually selectively believed...just enough to gather as much personal information about and to attack with for our sadistic pleasure.....something we can't admit to ourselves....honesty is so inconvenient. In general we will say you are one of them until you tell us who you are. It gets difficult with time to choose...having too many to enemies to count. Our lives are unfortunate wastelands of destruction and we often ponder as to why we have been so unlucky to have been so unjustifiably attacked. But we have learned its because we are the only good people in the world...everyone else simply lies to take advantage of us..even though knowing us at all is of great disadvantage and simple interaction with us makes you automatically passive agressive.

Welcome back John Green, I'm pretty sure there are a few people here that can break down your writing patterns and expose you. It's not my forte, but what gives it away for me is the same Passive aggressive tone. The very same arrogant approach, unique in it's disconnect, writing to subjects, as subjects. This actually goes way beyond a simple character flaw. The world is chock full of sociopaths that are certain they are brighter than everyone else. In fact many are, but, they don't actually have empathy, sympathy or any real connection to mankind. They have no soul. Some are amazing actors, able to mimic the emotions they lack, but, the more they toot their horns, the more obvious it becomes that they lack any real connection... If one of these defected individuals is coddled and praised for their genius through out their lives, they become so arrogant that they believe they exist in a world way above the rest of us peasants. They become somewhat careless in their manipulations, believing that the sheep are just that...sheep... I really fell for that apology and I should have known better. For the sake of God, I've been watching the Jodi Arias trial and this exact bit of psychology has been playing before my eyes daily! I've said before, unlike some of the extremely bright people here, I don't do well in the really deep waters. I am a peasant after all, the shallow end is where you'll find me. Every once in a while, a big fish will foolishly get himself mired down here at my end of the pond and we eat like kings for a week. John, the jury is deadlocked and while we wait for them to sort it out, come on up here to Nh. for an old fashioned fish fry....bring some Cole slaw, we've caught a big fat whopper and he's hittin' the grill... ; ) Ps. on sociopaths and the arts; Charles Manson was a fairly good guitarist and he wrote quite a bit about the global economy. I'm doubtful that he did alot of showering, so, I think you own the shower curtain domain...

John Green wrote: Finally, toward posters on Topix. There is so much good content there. Many folks who post there can't be differentiated from the core folks who post great content here. Three or four Topix posters, on the other hand, are up to no good and are willfully destructive and disruptive toward public discourse about Maura. A third group - frankly including me recently - are a mix, thinking deeply and sincerely about the case and posting, but sometimes also being VT-ish. I have been one of them lately. That is about a weakness of my character. You all and Renner deserve better from me. And I hope you will let me make it right. With remorse, John It is indeed a humbling experience to be forced, internally or externally, to own your mistakes and take responsibility for your actions. Credentials were never of any importance to me, but acknowledgement of poor conduct is a big step and I appreciate the effort it took to do so. I do however believe that you severely overstepped the limits of even Topix' stretched boundaries with a couple specific people in this forum. You did manage to address this forum in your post but noticeably did not offer any kind of apology to anyone but the group on your blog. There are a few here that are owed a more direct and sincere apology, Hannah and Amy in my mind but I am sure you know who. You really did go a bit too far. I am not suggesting something public and I will not be mentioning this again, but I do hope you do the right thing whether they expect it or not before this dose of humility wears off.

The only reason I've come to Topix after avidly reading Renner's blog is because of John Green. While clearly intelligent and insightful, he's also annoying, long-winded and condescending I've read all these posts (and not in 8 hours, mind you. I'm a little slower than Ed) and being the 100% unbiased reader I am, I can say that Ed is most definitely John Green. Renner is onto something. I don't care how anyone feels about him personally, the man has dug into this with such vigor, one is almost certain to believe he really will solve this mystery. That's why I can't , for the life of me, figure out why he handed the blog over to JG, only for him to ruin it and its reputation in mere days. I don't care if JG is who he says he is. He's inconsequential. Ignore him and maybe he will go away or come back under some other moniker. The real matter is: Where the f*ck is Maura Murray!? PS-I've been a longtime lurker, and this is my first post. I hope to post more often, and gain insights from people who didn't hijack someone's hard work and drive it straight into the ground. I've been obsessively reading about Maura Murray for years and have a few theories I would like to toss around. Happy Saturday, Jungle!

Sociopath below. Self confident yet very creative in accusation. Actually admits to own flaws while projecting. Describes volunteer work as sociopathy. Ignores human imperfection but claims to have a superior grasp of humanity as proof of sociopathy. Plays victim but acts like a shark. It's not in Renner's nature to spar with topix posters, and be rude, so I'd imagine John may get a pep talk.

Paranoid L(oser)- perhaps my intuition is not serving me well this morning; perhaps you are not the person i think you are. again, that's ok. at least my thoughts are out there for the intended individual. do i misunderstand? i must humbly disagree about your assessment of Ridiculous whose analysis may be armchair, but is often right on the money.

I've never been on this blog but after reading what was a strange post (WHO IS JOHN GREEN) by JG on the Renner site I had to see what was going on over here. While still catching up on the older posts I wanted to ask the group a question: I have had several posts on the JR blog blocked and I cannot figure out why. Has anyone else experienced this?
