You're a perfect example of why some stopped posting or just lurk here.
As I said I doubt egos have much to do with it. I rarely state things unless I know it's right but when I'm wrong about anything I don't mind being told.
PS. You really should look up the definition of "ego".

I was hoping that this useless banter was finally finished. It looks like maybe it has a final spasm left in it before we won't have to deal with it any more. So be it. It might wind up being colicky, ans it kicks up once in a while. Like anniversaries maybe. That would be expected. Other than that, I think this will start to receive little attention unless something breaks. It is about time that it goes in that mode.

RT. 112 is a dark, lonely, and uninviting road.... gee, I wonder where this story is heading, kind of sounds like the start of a ghost story doesn’t it? I just want to make sure I understand some of this. O'Connell is insisting that someone at the last fill up, got into Maura's trunk and pulled out a rag and stuffed it into her tailpipe. Remember, dad says that the rag was in the trunk. How does that happen? How does someone get into the locked trunk with the keys? It defies common sense. As does much of what O'Connell says though.

The article is nothing but a mix of old information, unreliable sources and just plain bad information. The article for the most part, sucks. This is a rehash of old information and in some cases the author apparently went on what some people remembered from years earlier, rather then researching what they actually said based on written reports. Poor research job done by the author. The author didn't even do some basic research. Especially, ESPECIALLY, if she had some basic current research on the Patric McCarthy case. We now know that two additional Medical examiners, independently, have confirmed that Patric had died from hypothermia. O'Connell has no credibility that I can see but people insist on using him as a source in this case? Astonishing..

Let this case rest again, until some new information comes out. This "report" sure wasn't it.

I wonder if this is the same half-assed organization SOCO online/magazine, that has repeatedly tried to make the Patric McCarthy into a murder also. Real shoddy reporting but even they have finally reported that two other medical examiners besides the original has established Patric's death as accidental due to hypothermia and wrote a scathing report about the "experts" hired by O'Connell. It is a must read.

Unlike many people with mere 'opinions' and sarcastic banter, I was actually very close to friends from Ohio (former McCarthy-Besaw)family at one point before and after Patric's death. I am no longer friends or close because I learned of the full truth! Bill...just because you have a crooked M.E. working on behest of the NHSP, and a couple of lame duck M.E.'s probably sitting home retired in their rocking chairs, doesn't MEAN Patric's death was 'accidental.' That little boy WAS murdered my friend and you know damn well how. Everyone's day is coming...everyone's. The Magpie and her little psycho offspring too. Stop your sarcastic 'ass first' mentalities Bill. You are an insulting, know it all but not shockingly we all KNOW that you share intimate knolwedge of what happened to that poor boy. Same place as the witness who was stuck working late for the first time.......That witness drove by the accident scene at around 7:50 when police and bystanders were there. She said she saw the car door open. Makes me wonder if Maura did lock her car after all? And, did some guy working at the loon who came up missing?
But yeah, it was much the same as everything else out there. I'm just glad to see new articles still poping up now and then.

This is some very funny stuff. So we all KNOW that I share intimate knowledge of what happened??? I that sarcasm or are you trying to implicate me in the “murder” also?

I have no knowledge other than what three competent Medical examiners said. And every one of them, to a man, and woman, said the same thing. He died from hypothermia. Now the interesting thing that I am now seeing is it appears to me that Patrics maternal side of the family is now going after the Patrics paternal side accusing them and his ex wife of crimes against Patric.

For those with an open mind, who really want to know what the opinions of two other medical examiners other than the original one was can read this:

We have all of this information from remarkably competent investigators who have no interest in anything other than the truth. They have been saying the same thing now, for years - independently. I have been hearing about this “day of reckoning” for years now. Before, we would hear about how the step brothers did something. When no one with an once of sense would fall for that, there was the step mother. When that was proven to not hold water it became the step mothers relation. Now that no one with an once of sense believes this story and three separate medical examiners have said it was an accidental death, the mother of Patric is now accusing the father and by extension the step mother of apparently killing Patric. It is one of the most bizarre stories I have ever seen. Not the unfortunate and very sad death, but the aftermath.

So, when any rational person looks all this information over what do they see?

Never heard about the car door being open before. Did they pry it open or was it found unlocked? Would they routinely forcibly open the locked door of an abandoned car (my guess is at least they would first have the car towed some place) or would they only do it on suspicion of crime (committed by or to the driver)? Bill, I´m sure you know about these procedures? The family made kind of a big deal about the door being locked by Maura, as something indicative of her intention to either return to the car or at least caring enough to prevent her stuff from being stolen. Maybe she didn´t, after all (lock the door and/or care about stuff being taken since she didn´t intend to come back to get it).

Lots of good questions. I had always heard that Maura closed and locked the door. I have not heard the source of this in the report and I have already stated that I am not impressed with the report. If they told us the source I might believe it. We have heard since day one that Maura locked the doors and left. I'll stick with that until they give the source of this new information.
