So many months and years scrutinizing Maura and her family and friends trying to find reasons why she ended up on route 112 in NH.
That is where she disappeared.

I would like to think that Law Enforcement has uncovered any and all information about her past life. What information can be learned about the area where Maura disappeared?
Do residents still remember or mention her name?

I think you look at people's involvement backwards. If people choose to get involved they can, if they don't wish to then that doesn't make them bad people. Under the circumstances if I was assisting in a searchg and her family didn't tell me everything that I wanted to know then I'd peace out. It isn't mandatory to do anything.

First of all "if was assisting in a search and her family didn't tell me everything that I wanted to know then I'd peace out" Are you for real here? What do you think you would be assisting, in the investigation? If you were helping on a search you would be a volunteer on a search and I doubt you get a Q&A session with the missing person's family and they need to answer all the searcher's questions about the missing person and their family's background or the searchers don't search.
Damn we would live in a shitty world if everybody was like you. How often do you think the searchers who volunteer for a search actually ask the missing person's family personal questions about her background? And why does it matter if you're looking for her in the woods?

If she's lost in the woods in NH, if you think she killed herself or just got lost in the woods then what does her background matter one bit? It doesn't at all, you can't find someone lost in the woods by going through their background, you don't find them in their past life you find them in the woods.

And BTW, the FBI and the NHSP knows all of this about her background and have known it all for 9 years now. I'm sure they know a hell of a lot more than we do. No matter how bad you would be 'willing to help' why does anybody need to answer any questions to YOU? You're not an investigator, you're not in LE, you can't do anything that any background info would help.

And in any investigation information is what solves the case. You can't solve a case without information from the public. The more people that know about it the more likely a case will be solved. At this point about the only thing that can really make a difference in this case is publicity, publicity so that one person who saw something that night that doesn't even know she's missing and doesn't even know they witnessed anything learns about the case and gives up that crucial piece of info that's needed to solve this crime, of maybe find her in the woods. It is very possible someone is out there. Publicity is exactly what this case needs.

Jesus, he is up to his usual high standard of nonsensical ramblings. You clearly don't know anything about this subject either. FAMILY INTERVIEWS ABOUT THE SUBJECT IS CRITICAL in searches. But again, your "tremendous knowledge" about things you know nothing about are always welcomed on the forum. Don't let your total ignorance about a subject, stop you from spouting off about things you know nothing about, it certainly has never stopped you before.

Jenkins, I too was surprised at the response....
however, remembering that in April 2004, residents were calling Haverhill PD complaining of trespassing by Murray family and friends looking for Maura. I think of it as mass denial.

As for publicity, tv channels are limited unless you have cable. Not sure, but WCAX VT ch.3 is one.
WMUR NH is one TV channel which seemingly caters to southern NH.

Newspapers....the one Caledonian Record WAS attentive...and of course the North Country News.
