But keep on making believe you know what happened.
The saddest part of all this is that the three of you probably don't understand a word I have written. I have high hopes that the majority of unbiased, reasonable, thinking people do.

I guess it started with just the wonder of just what happened. I go through that area and have two houses in NH. Then it was because there were questions that I knew the answers to relating to EMS, search and rescue, engineering and tried to help out. Then I started to notice that there were people on the forums that had absolutely no idea what they were talking about and posted wild, absurd speculations. That was OK until they started to use those baseless speculations to make accusations about specific people in the area. Even against people whose only mistake was trying to help Maura. Then again, people with no concept of what they were talking about, were saying that everyone in the area was corrupt, probably kidnapped Maura and/or killed Maura etc. With no basis for any of that. Innocent people were being accused. Faceless accusers/convictors over the internet. Well, it appeared the first thing that needed to be done was to stop the stupid accusations, which I was able to do with others help. Specifically one person hardly posts anything now but hit and run, mindless, innocuous posts. And even then, those posts are usually half wrong. Then it appeared the next thing to do was to try to keep the few known facts from becoming a bunch of other "facts" (fact creep) that were just baseless speculations. Several of us have tried for years to just keep the facts straight so people new to the forum didn't start with the bullshit facts and continue on, not knowing they were so far off in left field that they couldn't even be seen. Totally wasting their time. So, the short answer is, because it's the right thing to do and I am proud to be part of the "agenda" crowd even though that is a silly name when you really mean keeping the facts straight. The fact that some of us are here is why you are not talking about how Maura is buried in someones basement and how you can sneak in to dig it up while the owner is away. We have also firmly ruled out alien abduction and while bigfoot abduction is not totally ruled out, it is near the bottom of the list.
So why are you here? And by the way, your welcome. Happy to do it.
