Yes. I think he got fired. One thing I noticed about JG is that as much as he wanted others to 'keep it on topic' on the blog, he was one that could not stop reacting to even slightly negative comments. After his meltdown he did ok with it for a couple weeks but he could not sustain it. His permaban of spruce goose was an extreme over reaction and his newest run in with CC just proved that JG could not control his God complex. I would guess that Renner had enough of it and the likely complaints about JG filling his email. Just my opinion of course but I could see the water swirling towards the bottom of the bowl for a while now.
and yeah its really me but not logged in.
Would not surprise me to see him here more frequently though....

That would take some nerve after some of the things he has said.

He will no doubt be stalking topix.

Some of the groundbreaking evidence he found:

February is a very cold month.

Indeed temperatures can get well below freezing in NH in February.

On January 29, 1934 NH reached an all time low temperature of -47 degrees.

In 2004, the lowest temperature in NH was -11 degrees Fahrenheit.

Wet garments can drop a person's body temperature even further below what the measured temperature of an area may be.

Hypothermia can occur in temperatures much higher than -11 degrees Fahrenheit.

Well, I know I'm not a guy at all. Just a girl from Texas.
I admit I have not been around this forum long, and likely some of my questions have been covered at some time or another somewhere. But in the beginning I legitimately had some "relevant" questions. In my opinion they were a bit more relevant than if I had a lot 22 parking permit.
So since I am sure if its been explored someone here can help me with a few things.
-I've always wondered about Maura's Internet searches just before she left campus. Specifically the alcohol during pregnancy search. Not to imply anything, but I have seen somewhere that someone who claimed to be familiar with nursing curriculum thought that was a pretty uninteresting search. I think the point was made that in early courses that would be a subject covered. So my question has always been if anyone knew what classes Maura was enrolled in that semester. I just feel like that might be a good way to determine if her search was more personal or for a class.
-I know I've briefly researched before and found that either New Hampshire or Vermont (I can't recall exactly now) performed later term abortions. The recovery time for a later term abortion was something like 3-5 days. I think that if I was Maura and that was something I was going to do I'd take the things she had packed, drive a car that wasn't completely safe, and tell no one else where I was going.
I'm not saying she was pregnant, but I was a young female college student around the time she was, and trust me this would be a plan I'd come up with then.
here you go

From the Daily Hampshire Gazette:

"School of Nursing Dean Eileen Breslin said Murray has been a good student, currently enrolled in psychology, mental health and maternity courses as part of the classroom and clinical rotation for all juniors.
Murray had transferred to UMass from the U.S. Military Academy after three semesters at West Point. She was on the roster of the UMass women's track and field team last year and worked in a local art gallery."

Some pronounced Maura's name mar-aa while others insist on pronouncing it more-aa.

The name originates from Celtic heritage.

The meaning of the name Maura is sea of bitterness.

I go away for two days and all hell breaks loose over at Chateau Renner. Green’s gone, Renner’s collar is being felt by the long arm of the law and Contagiously Complicated is an “idiot”(Green’s words not mine). Now in the Hollywood version of this mystery, James would find himself sharing a cell with a vital witness in the disappearance of Maura Murray and the whole case would be blown wide open!

On a more serious note, I think it is a shame Green has gone. I didn’t always like the way he expressed himself but at least he provided a lot of content for the blog. With James working on his book and his current legal troubles, I fear things may go quiet over there.

i've never understood the desire to force blog entries or comments. nothing new is nothing new, unless one enjoys endless rewind and words for words' sake.
nothing to "fear", at least imo. JG has succeeded in shifting the focus to himself, but Renner has contributed with substance.

And in a final twist to the saga...John Green is recuperating at Mass. General this morning after a night of discomfort. It appears he suffered severe bruising to his buttocks. apparently he couldn't resist the urge to flip the bird one last time as he exited the barn. unfortunately, it was at this moment that the barn door swung shut and hit him square in the ass...!
I do believe that James finally came to his senses and gave the pompous ass his pink slip... ; )

Does anyone remember what day Nancy Lyons did the search? I thought that the tracking with the glove was done by her and her dog. Am I mistaken? Who was the first one to do a dog search? Does anyone know if it was tracking or air scent dog?

Renner has some comments on his site, some make sense though might still be wrong and others I believe are just wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

As a writer, I am interested in Renner’s research techniques and process and wonder how effective the blog will ultimately prove to be as a marketing tool. I don’t think Green brought any major new revelations to the party but I was curious to see whether any of his work would be included in the final book or whether his role was purely to maintain the momentum of the blog. It seems clear now that it was the latter.

"Air, Ground Search Futile
FBI Called Into Case
BY GARY E. LINDSLEY, Staff Writer 2/20/04

HAVERHILL, NH - Nancy Lyon and her canine partner, a 3-year-old malinois, Quicklie, spent most of
Thursday morning scouring a section of Route 112 for a missing 21-year-old Hanson, Mass., woman."

This too about dogs:

"With no new leads, FBI joins search for missing student
By Peter DeMarco, Globe Correspondent, 2/20/2004

The FBI has joined in the search for missing college student Maura Murray, but without a single lead in the nearly two-week old case, New Hampshire authorities said the additional investigators might
not make a difference. Murray, a 21-year-old Hanson native and nursing student at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, vanished the night of Feb. 9 after crashing her car into a snowbank on a rural road in Woodsville, N.H.

Police in helicopters and with their dogs searched the area for a second time yesterday, but with no evidence that Murray fled into the woods, her family and authorities believe she either hitched a ride and is on her own, or was abducted."
