i don't think i've ever seen it this quiet for so long. did a bunch of specific ip addresses or users get blocked and can't post, or is their another reason this thread has come to an almost virtual standstill?

It is quite strange. Green and Renner's sites have gone very quiet as well.

Yes, this strange indeed... Are we suposse to be on some kind of strike because of what was done to RC.. Or something...?just when I wanted to hear opinions regarding the night before Maura disappeared because I have this feeling she was actually dismissed from that job and that is a possibility of what had her so upset.. But I must admit I must read KM interview with Renner...I just wonder what was a " supervisor" doing that late at night on a sunday night having a meeting or consulting another supervisor regarding her.. Perhaps is not unusual but I have always had a feeling about this...

The forum is filled with nonsense now . Speaking just for myself the summer is very short here in NH and I don't have the time or patience to read through pages of links to another site and posts that make no sense. A troll will do anything for attention but I refuse to feed them. Hope everyone is having a good summer

Ridiculous wrote: <quoted text> What I can say is that I know a crap load of people and in a strange twist of irony.... My take on the situation is that there is a group of people that the main players on John's blog are making every effort to identify and there is an ulterior motive not shared with the group as a whole. John asks people to "script" posts via email, orchestrating certain charades in an effort to draw certain people in and have them register. His entire effort towards Columbo is a prime example of this...As far as threatening topix posters..Ultimately, exposing peoples anonymity is the goal and I believe that is some pretty threatening behavior.. Can you verify that he is actually asking people to script posts? That would be pretty damn shady if that is what he's actually doing.

I see nothing odd about 2 supervisors discussing MM or her situation. Sunday night or not, if people are working, supervisors are working too. Even if it does not fit into what some may consider a normal workday. Everywhere, always. Further, if someone's conduct warrants their dismissal from a job, it is usually done at the beginning of the shift. Unless of course you are suggesting she did something that night during her shift that would cause them to terminate her employment, then it would be done on the spot.

Summer is my busy season at work. I have worked every single day since July 2 including the 4th and the weekends. 12 - 16 hour days and with the place running 24 hours/day I am always getting calls in the middle of the night. I manage to get a few posts in here and there but not much. Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the summer.

Hi all, i am assuming there were cameras in the lobby of Melville hall and the walkway to Kennedy hall.Today the recordings are required to be erased after 30 days unless they may be used as evidence later.I am guessing the security desk had a camera pointed at it.take care philip

Unless of course you are suggesting she did something that night during her shift that would cause them to terminate her employment, then it would be done on the spot. FWIW, this was posted on topix Amherst MM thread in July of 2009 by Anonymous: "I'm not sure if her employers knew about the situation but i know the RA on her floor did ... again i heard this from friends who lived next door to maura ... i believe there is a lot of information being withheld from the public allowing crazy and out on control conspiracy theories to proliferate on threads like this ... i firmly believe maura ran and is still running ... she knew she was going to get expelled from school because of the cc fraud which is why she packed up her dorm but decided to flee instead of facing the music ... just seems the most plausible explanation ... im not asserting any of this as fact ... just telling you what i heard ... from what i heard her RA knew about the problem ... i lived a stones throw away from her dorm and i had many friends on her floor ... i dont think her neighbors would make something up like that either ... everyone was deeply concerned and upset her disappearance and many people who lived in the southwest community felt she was running because her mental issues had spiraled out of control ..."
