They are still Facebook friends and JG commented on a post Renner made on Sunday which Renner "liked." I would say they are still quite friendly.

You know, after giving this a lot more thought, I was really amazed that, even though the FBI has gathered a great deal of information about Keyes' movements, that they had info for just two time periods in 2004, February and October. I also now find it even more amazing that they have info for the exact time period when Maura went missing - what are the odds of that happening?

One of the things you notice in Keyes' movements are that he is willing to drive thousands of miles in order to (presumably) find his victims. For instance, he flew to Manchester NH in October 2004 and drove a rented car 1,745 miles to do whatever he did on that trip. In 2009, he again rented a car in Manchester NH and drove 1,047 miles roundtrip to rob a bank and kill somebody in Tupper Lake, NY. He also appears to have not had a lot of money worries since he traveled constantly and went to places like Belize and Cancun and apparently had a habit of robbing banks. So I don't think that traveling and spending money for that travel would have stopped him from doing some seemingly irrational things.

So, with that in mind, it actually seems to me now that he very well could have flown to SLC in February 2004 and, possibly wanting an alibi for that trip, rented a car and flown to another airport and then flown to NH again. Considering his behaviors noted above, I really don't think it is too far-fetched. It is the incredible coincidence of the dates involved that makes me consider this scenario. It is more complicated than flying directly to his ultimate destination, more expensive and time-consuming, but if he was still concerned with covering his tracks in early 2004, I still think it is a possibility and I'm just throwing it out there if anybody feels like discussing it.

Keyes put 522 miles on the SLC rental car. I did some checking and found that there are four airports within a 522 mile trip driving radius, or 261 miles one way. Grand Junction Colorado, Boise Idaho and Jackson Wyoming are outside that radius. I also did a flight duration/2013 cost comparison just to see which airports might be more likely. All flights are to Boston, as he flew in to Boston a few times and it would be cheaper and less connections from these towns to Boston rather than Manchester.

Idaho Falls, ID - 214 miles - 7 hours -$528 one-way
Twin Falls, ID - 223 miles - 7 hours -$724 one-way
Pocatello, ID - 173 - 7 hours -$713 one-way
Elko, NV - 227 miles - 8 hours -$649 one-way

Of course, he could have just been visiting SLC, but again, it's the dates of February 6-13 that really have got me going hmmm ...

Oh, and the "did not have permission to leave state" part, I just figure he didn't pay much attention to that in my scenario.

To add a little bit more to this theory:

"Vehicle rental (Advantage)- Salt Lake City, Utah. Law enforcement believes Keyes was in Utah and Wyoming from September 2 - 6, 2007"

So a trip to Idaho would not be out of the question.

After my post above, I decided to Google if there was a way to track the rental car crossing state lines, and found that a lot of rental companies place tracking devices on their vehicles. So I called Enterprise, the company Keyes rented from in 2004, and asked the question specifically. I was transferred to a supervisor who told me that a very small percentage of Enterprise rental cars have tracking devices, and the only real way they can really track where the car has actually been is if they cross the border into Mexico and come back into the U.S., at which point customs would alert Enterprise. She then contacted the SLC Enterprise office, who informed her that they have no tracking devices on their vehicles.

So, there's that.:)

I don´t think MM disappearance fits Israel Keyes´ MO. He liked to stalk his victims and seems to have been the type to plan his crimes, not just snatch any woman off the road that he happened to come upon. Of course, I could be mistaken.

I find it very funny that Wowzer and Snowy have their particular manifests, but it only applies when it pertains to someone they like or know. When the same behavior is exhibited against JG,JWB ,JR ,Jenkins or anyone out of the loop then not a peep is heard about outing or trashing of the them.

Topix is a laughing stock and the ones that did bring lots of information about Maura are no longer posting. Why? Easy to figure. WTH made an excellent point concerning my outing of JWB. I think he was correct concerning precedcence and In retrospect, I wish I had thought of a different way to handle it. I let the heat of the moment affect my judgement and calmer minds might have found a different way.
Just the fact that you keep coming back here after the insanity you continuously display is further proof of how far removed you really are from reality Granny. Your presence here has nothing to do with Maura Murray. It has to do with JWB. Based on my opinion Ridiculous is a riot and I can't count the times that he's made me laugh. Funny as hell I tell you.:)
I can't seem to find where he asked other posters to email him with someone's real identity if they knew the persons name nor can I find where he cares nothing about other posters safety.
Oh wait! There was a time where he stood up to an internet stalker that was trying their darndest to find out where another poster lived. He actually was driving around the neighborhood where this person lived trying to find their house and even posting it on this forum. Ridiculous saw the danger of this as did some other posters and he did his best to stop this persons dangerous actions before it went too far.
So IMO Ridiculous cares very much about other posters and their safety. Can you say the same?(Wink wink)

This is kind of interesting too. Since Keyes put more miles on the rental car than roundtrip to any of the airports I listed, I decided to check to see where he could have picked up those extra miles.

I've been to SLC and up to the Tetons and Yellowstone a few times, and each time I've gone I've taken the scenic trip along I-89 past beautiful Bear Lake to Jackson and points beyond. Lots of people do this, it's a beautiful drive. Thinking Keyes might have had time to do a more leisurely and more scenic route on his return to SLC rather than the boring I-15, I mapped it out on Google maps. I'll put that map in a separate link in case Topix doesn't post it, but here are the basic directions.

From the Enterprise parking lot in SLC to the Idaho Falls airport parking lot, thence taking Route 26 southeast along the Snake River to meet up with I-89 and following that route southwest back to the I-15 and then back to the SLC Enterprise parking lot is:

522 miles.

Just more food for thought.
