my best efforts and attempts to educate and enlighten Jenkins failed miserably; similarly, i regard direct contact with provocative, and unstable posters to be the better solution to further attempts to educate or converse.
the door is closed, although an indirect response to provocation will be met with a reply.
so be it.

A lot of YOUR conversation about Maura is shut down. You seem to be the one frequently personally attacked. Perhaps your instincts are failing you and the attacks have more to do with you, who has a dubious history here, than it does with MM. Maybe the others that you feel comfortable speaking for actually moved on to places more amenable to their lines of thought. Places where they can say any wild azz thing they want based on zero fact or evidence and get stroked and patted on the back for it. Maybe they had better instincts. Mind you, I am not attacking you, I am just trying to open you to a different idea on this subject.
While it is generally out of order to name a suspect by name here...YOU HAVE ZERO AUTHORITY to tell others what to debate here.

Don't know how anyone could tell someone and I never heard anyone tell anyone else to NOT talk about a certain subject. I (and some others) have often pointed out stupid comments that don't pass even a basic intelligence test and that has made some scamper away after they realized how lame their statement was after being pointed out.

No apologies for that, by the way.

Oh, tough guy, spam away.

Nowhere did I ever say what should be debated here. I merely attempted to get jwb to internalize the contempt that he feels is towards MM, since perhaps it is only himself that is the issue.

You clearly have no idea what is being discussed, but that is typical of trolls.

I think its odd that when the topic of JWB is being discussed - here you come to deflect the issue. By JWB's logic we are on the right path.

I think I'd rather be shutdown than continue arguing like nitwits.
I used to think Bill was just a mean old man, but I totally see why he says what he says sometimes.
No one is making anyone not talk about anything.
As much as I despise some of Renner's tactics, the interviews he's gotten have seemed pretty helpful, but obviously not enough answers. I do not believe there are a list of 50 different people concocting conspiracies to hide the truth or ones afraid for their jobs (except maybe LE, whom I've never really trusted - based on experience) telling lies. So, why totally dismiss the evidence he has, especially when it makes complete sense?
I also find it odd that Renner "changed" his techniques after the discovery of Ariel Castro; something I had been begging him to do for a year. I think, overall, he's a terrible investigator and draws awful conclusions. Anyway...
I've always believed there is a high probability that violence in some form happened upon Maura. I think a couple people were given a pass to soon, but hopefully it will all come to light before I'm dead.

"First of all, the parking lot takes about five minutes to get to your car, and by the time you drove to Amherst Center, had the hit and run, drive back and walk back to the dorm for your shift...she would have gotten caught leaving her post."
It takes five minutes to get to the parking lot? I guess if she was parked halfway across campus, but if she was parked in any of the five or six lots around Melville, it would have taken Maura maybe a minute tops to get to her car.
Who would she have been caught by, exactly? Students? They aren't going to care if she's missing.
"Her stuff was sprawled on the desk...nursing book, cell phone, and I don't see her sneaking away, and then taking her book out again."
So she left her book at the desk to resume studying when she returned. What's the big deal? It's not like just because the cell phone was sitting on the desk when KM walked in meant it was there the whole time. Cell phones are pretty portable, you know.
"The supervisors are always rotating around Southwest to check up on the receptionists. Thus the odds of her being able to go get the car, do the drive, get back to the dorm...nope, don't see it happening. As I tell my first graders when learning about probability....very highly unlikely."
Sorry, but I just don't buy people were checking in on her at all times. These supervisors probably followed the same pattern every night. If Maura knew it, she was good to go.
Who exactly is going to "detect" her driving back onto campus? She's just another car rolling through at night.
Whether it happened or not is definitely a matter of opinion, but I have no idea how anyone could totally rule out her hitting Vasi as a possibility. It just isn't that far fetched. This is a college dorm we're talking about. Not Fort Knox. They didn't have eyes constantly on the girl.
And what else would have put her in a "catatonic state?" She already knew Rausch was cheating, that's about the worst thing a boyfriend can do. I don't see anything with Kathleen that would have caused her such distress... Vasi was struck shortly before Maura was "staring off into space."
The timing is there, the opportunity is there (in my opinion) and the result is there. I still think there is a strong possibility Vasi is in play.
I respect opinions to the contrary, but if KM is being honest about the state Maura was in when she came upon her, well I don't see many things that would cause such an extreme reaction. Hitting the kid with her car would have done so.
All good points and well stated. Total agreement here.

Also BillNH- yes all Maura conversation regarding Maura is shut down but, when foul play is ever mentioned things are ratcheted up a notch. Everyone comes out of the woodwork and pig piles.
All you have to do is read the posts and look what happens when the conversation turns to the subject of Maura.Everyone else has left the forum because of this.
Granny,

you are the very epitome of foul play. That being said, the only reason I'm still here is I just know any second now your boy Bobby and his friend are going to post all of those pages of vitriol and such, just like he promised...Right around the time he skipped out of here, which coincides with the time he was found lurking at the casual encounters web site...Old Slim, I sure do miss him. Hey speaking of casual encounters, I always wondered if you and frosty hooked up for that snokin hot moped ride you were offering her. I think it's so great that you, a married he/she are able to use the Maura Murray topix site as a place to try and pick people up. It's just another shining example of your sincere desire to keep things on topic here..xoxo

Two things about the Vasi hit/run that I've never understood. First, what is the theory of why Maura decided to get her car and drive around town in the middle of her shift? Second, why, if she hit Vasi, did she leave the scene? Quite often, drivers are not found to be at fault in these kinds of accidents--the pedestrian was drunk, or distracted or ran into the roadway. If she was sober, why wouldn't she stop and get help? Has there ever been any suggestion that she was drunk that night at work? Did LE think that the driver that hit Vasi was speeding? If she'd stopped, yes, she might have lost her security job for going AWOL mid-shift, but is it likely she would have valued her job over a human life? She wouldn't have known whether he was dead or alive. She was studying to be a nurse!

I have no axe to grind and no opinion either way, I just don't see hard evidence to support Maura's involvement, but maybe I've missed something.

To my knowledge it has never been suggested Maura was not sober that night. The reason for her to take her car that night that has been discussed is her being on break and getting coffee. It has been established (more or less) she used her phone to order coffee earlier that night. The Vasi hit theory is dubious at best. A remote possibility, but still a possibility.

According to the Vasi theory, I think the idea is Maura may have thought, right or wrong, she was going to jail for hitting a pedstrian.

The whole Vasi connection is BS. That car never made contact with a human body. Period.

Thank you, hannah_b. Yes, I see. Seems dubious to me too, but as with nearly everything else in this case, ya never know.

I've wondered ... there's Maura, sitting at her security desk, studying. She's talked with her sister, who swears there was nothing in their conversation to have sent Maura off the deep end. What if someone came by, walking in or out, and said something like,"I know you! You're Maura Murray! You're the b***h who stole my friend's credit card number! I can't believe you're still here! Does Security know they've got a thief working for them? Does the nursing school know they're training a crook to be a nurse? You should have been expelled! Maybe somebody ought to make a couple of calls to let the administration know what kind of a person--" Blah, blah, etbloodycetera. This would be pretty devastating, particularly if it was said in front of a bunch of other people. Seems to me it might have been enough to send Maura over the edge. What a humiliating threat that would have been, particularly because it was, unfortunately, true that Maura HAD stolen the cc#. Just a thought.

One other thing: who calls in an order for ONE CUP of coffee? Don't people usually call ahead for food that requires some cooking or other preparation--pizza, calzones, sandwiches--but just zip through the drive-up for a simple cup of coffee? Seems a far fetch to me, an odd thing to to.

It has been posted here by someone claiming to be in the know the RA on her floor was aware and was preparing to take action. Nor verified - treat this as rumor!
