Two things about the Vasi hit/run that I've never understood. First, what is the theory of why Maura decided to get her car and drive around town in the middle of her shift? Second, why, if she hit Vasi, did she leave the scene? Quite often, drivers are not found to be at fault in these kinds of accidents--the pedestrian was drunk, or distracted or ran into the roadway. If she was sober, why wouldn't she stop and get help? Has there ever been any suggestion that she was drunk that night at work? Did LE think that the driver that hit Vasi was speeding? If she'd stopped, yes, she might have lost her security job for going AWOL mid-shift, but is it likely she would have valued her job over a human life? She wouldn't have known whether he was dead or alive. She was studying to be a nurse!
I have no axe to grind and no opinion either way, I just don't see hard evidence to support Maura's involvement, but maybe I've missed something.
just my general take on your ideas about the vasi hit. it is impossible to get into MM's head to extrapolate the motivations for her taking leave from her family / academic / social life to subsequently disappear. if you knew her, or were close to her, you might have a slight advantage in analyzing her thought processes.
there are no facts to support a vasi hit; only the timing and her apparent emotional state are possibly related.
fleeing into woods is suggested, again, by her emotional state for running away from UMASS in mid-week in Feb, and also lying to the nursing dept by documenting an untrue excuse for leaving, several car crashes, and the presence of open containers of alcohol in the vehicle.
there is no evidence of a struggle at the site of the landing place of her vehicle to suggest abduction or taking against her will, although it is possible she willingly accepted a ride from someone known or unknown to her.
there is, after all, no evidence that an act of violence was committed against her, unless proven. while she may have been a victim of foul play sometime after her disappearance, it is unproven; she could also have been suicidal or an adult runaway.
to suggest more than this overview without PROOF is a pointless endeavor, imo. to backfill with unproven details rewrites a true story as fiction, imo.
to INSIST that a certain fate befell her, such as abduction or homicide, until proven, is ignorant. Jenkins and his sidekick, Granny, have failed miserably in attempting to make a case for the latter.
fact: she has disappeared.
it is a mystery.

oh, and to the run-into-woods scenario, also add the evidence of her demonstrated emotional state.

Granny,
you are the very epitome of foul play. That being said, the only reason I'm still here is I just know any second now your boy Bobby and his friend are going to post all of those pages of vitriol and such, just like he promised...Right around the time he skipped out of here, which coincides with the time he was found lurking at the casual encounters web site...Old Slim, I sure do miss him. Hey speaking of casual encounters, I always wondered if you and frosty hooked up for that snokin hot moped ride you were offering her. I think it's so great that you, a married he/she are able to use the Maura Murray topix site as a place to try and pick people up. It's just another shining example of your sincere desire to keep things on topic here..xoxo
priceless. just priceless.

Just got back from that smokin’ hot ride around the notch. Took a bit longer than expected, but so-o-o sublime.
Sublime you say?

I suppose the unlikely pairing of a man that poses as a woman and a woman that poses as a man cruising the notch on a moped made for two on a crisp fall evening could not only be considered sublime, but downright inspirational. Two confused souls driffting through the universe making a connection, sharing a common bond. The occasional stop for a cup of hot vodka laced with a wee bit of chocolate. Would it be to forward to ask if you two bikers were able to find a dorm orgy to participate in? You know for old times sake. Sublime, like a Rose blooming in a snowbank... ; )

Sorry, not quite sure what's meant--what was the RA allegedly aware of and going to take action about?

Don't know how anyone could tell someone and I never heard anyone tell anyone else to NOT talk about a certain subject. I (and some others) have often pointed out stupid comments that don't pass even a basic intelligence test and that has made some scamper away after they realized how lame their statement was after being pointed out.
No apologies for that, by the way.
Oh, tough guy, spam away.
Bill
Your calling me an idiot was not enough to arouse such a response...and it will not now.

As to the actual spamming...the two previous pages of discussion on the topic of MM..I am sure was only spam to Ridiculous and BillNH...and is sufficient.

i'd love to know how JG seemingly cleared the topix deck of Team Murray anchors....citi and Columbo. i mean, if we sometimes disagreed, there was a comfort in knowing the other guy's perspective and where each of us stood. we were at peace with that.
stranger, still, is that JG disappeared, as well. well, not completely....the wolf may be hiding in plain view in sheep's clothing.

so, Madame Speaker...on the left coast..."idiot" is reserved for people who think the rest of us were born yesterday, but can see through the transparencies of Granny's thinking processes.
the "proof" offered to defend his / her position was actually in support of the opposite point of view. now, that's idiotic...and moronic.

Has anyone heard from Alden recently? I'm worried about him. I've written a few "are you ok?" messages to him since Sept 25 and not gotten a reply. He's always written back before. I'm hoping he's just taking a break from all things topix or has just decided he doesn't want to talk to me anymore for some reason, but I can't help worrying it's something more serious. Alden if you're out there, will you please just make a post that you're ok?

when someone becomes acquainted with another who may, at first, seem trustworthy....it only makes good sense to get out of the water when it is later suspected the acquaintance may use poor judgment, be an indiscreet friend, or worse, paddles around in the deep end of the pool with sharks playing a gotcha game.

Unless Alden personally told you that that is how he feels, I'm not interested what you have to say. It hasn't been long since you publicly wrote him off as having no integrity for not responding to your post about his ex-wife, so I doubt he's since solicited your help as his spokesperson. I've done my best to be a good friend to Alden, but if he's written me off that would be better news to me than him being dead or in a hospital somewhere.
