What a joke Snowy wants to take the high road yet dumped on anyone that was actually here to talk about Maura Murray.

Marter?!?!? How embarrassing for you. You obviously didn't get much out of your public school education. On to more important matters. Snowy, I'll be sad to see you go, I've really appreciated your sharing knowledge of this case and your efforts to set things straight whenever you can. Hope you'll pop in to say "hi" around the holidays. Take care of yourself.:) <3 It's good to see you Maruchan. You've been missed.

Newtown parents are tormented for losing their babies to gun violence by extremists; it is unthinkable that their grief would be turned against them. yes, dear hannah, i believe the questions we've asked here are good ones, and i know we've stood up to those who have targeted and accused innocents, but like the dead horse or a drum...i can't beat it any longer. if ever you register, i'd say hello in a topix PM, but arguing with others about MM is a pointless and overall negative experience. i have learned much about myself and others along the way; it has been a pleasure to interact with orhers, lime you, whom i regard as honest and fair-minded. Pay no attention to any negativity thrown out by someone that poses as his Granny.:) You will be missed here Snowy. We will keep in touch through PM's.

Finally reg´d... The damage in those pics really look a lot like the damage to the Saturn. Hitting those poles would implicate the Saturn having swerved to the left well before entering the WB curve. I think that I think it may point to MM being either inattentive or intoxicated or possibly both.

Also something to keep in mind is that hills and sharp curves are more heavily sanded/salted. Going too fast around a corner or slamming your breaks on can easily put a car into a slide even if there's no snow on the road.

MM's story belongs to her family and the authorities. it is their business. i don't believe much can be accomplished here, after almost 10 years, by strangers stopping by, commenting and arguing. i hope she, and all the missing, may be reunited with their loved ones. i hope there is no more gun violence in public places, and i hope we each can always do what we can, when we can, to make a positive difference...and then let go. peace to all. I do not wish to see you go. Happy Holidays until you post or read again.

JWB wrote: This lady and her cronies have said over and over that it is entertaining and that in itself is Immoral and a slap in the face to Maura and her family. That is what I personally despise. If this isn't entertainment than what the heck is it? I took no oath before registering on Topix to participate in this conversation. This is Topix "your town, your news your take." This is for enjoyment.

May I also remind you that, in general, the concerns expressed by the gentlewoman added to this group's conscientiousness of other people.

Trust me, I was vetted thoroughly by this group. For anyone who may be interested, details would be relatively easy to find in these pages.

BillNH wrote: <quoted text> Welcome back Maruchan. Your pictures are compelling. I had posted something on this myself way back when I first started posting here I believe. I do not think it was received well. What I am trying to reconcile is the mechanics of the damage to the Saturn. Post fixed at the base, struck on the upper half, seems it would bend away from the hood when struck, more so if it was planted in 2 feet of hard snow. Even if it didn't bend away, I would think that after is was bent, the damage would be downward onto the hood instead of straight into it from the front. Impact would have to be on the bumper first, even if it flexed enough to absorb the impact, the headlight below the hood damage would not flex and should be smashed to pieces after an impact hard enough to damage the hood in the direction it did. Just my 2 cents. I have mulled this over for some time and I still believe the hood damage was pre-Haverhill, and since I am not sold on the Vasi theory I would guess it was pre-Vasi a well. I keep looking at the pictures though, and your argument is seeming more and more probable.

I was driving home in the old caddy (slippery streets and someone on my tail) when all at once I swerved down into the ditches with support poles. The whole side of my car looked as bad as I do come Sunday morning:) Luckily for this race car girl, I corrected myself with the help of these poles and got back up on the street to get home. But even if Maura shaved the curb and struck a pole, Mr W-Man says "it doesn't happen like that" Happen like what, I wonder? Swinging around at the hairpin turn just to wind up "ass end" into a tree? I guess it still doesn't matter much to get an answer to that UNLESS it could rule out a prior accident.

I'm glad to see people wondering about this again. LE, cold case and the like who are working on this case should know by now if the damage did or did not happen there at the weathered barn. According to some, it did not happen there. They are firm. They used to drill it in- they were that sure. But then closed the door to any more information: like where do they think it happened? I wonder why? That is, why tell us anything at all? Columbo? Are you still here? This case needs to be pulled back out and worked on by someone who can follow through on the car damage angle. I think we should all start sending emails to the same place.....but where would be best? By saying there was a "prior accident" and nothing else we never seem to get anywhere. Snowy, don't go. I along with so many others would miss out on all of your good reasoning. Where are you Columbo? Did you give up?
