Really glad to see you back here again!
I haven´t been posting here for quite a while now, but you´re bringing up such good points in your posts today that I felt compelled to respond.
Also, this forum has been quite an interesting read over the last couple of days with many thoughtful and illuminating posts regarding the accident at the WB curve.
Yes, I also wish that Columbo would show up again here. I believe he mentioned some serious health issues at some point, though.

I think Maruchan may be on to something.

Because it would have been so simple to say that she did that and spun around from there. Backed up and parked paralell with the street. Why not be direct in all accounts?

Jenkins, I still think Maura could have gotten into her trunk and waited for a chance to get out and on with her trip.
You are right that it's far out, but I still think it possible. This would explain being seen 1-2 minutes before police got there vs seemingly vanishing into thin air.
The rag would be a sign in this idea-to the other person (like the one who moved on)-to follow the car, hang around and wait. In this idea, Maura knows she could end up in trouble because of the twisted lights (if they were like that already, hense the bulb package in the car).

Having a very busy day right now, but hope to be back here later today.
Another thing:
I have seen various accounts regarding where exactly Maura's car ended up on Rte 112 after the acvident at the WB curve. Some people insist the car came to rest near the tree with the blie ribbon, while other sources claim that it was really much futher down 112 and much closer to the BHR intersection and the M-tte residence.
What is your opinion regarding this?

I think it's as big a mystery as some other details that SHOULD have been apparent from the start. I can only believe this must be deliberate.

Where is who? Why would going over the dent in the car and how it rounded the corner generate any response or interest? I disagree that the damage looks like the damage in the photos but I have stated what I think the damage was caused from several times. It has been pointed out numerous times that the description of the accident and what the officer witnessed doesn't correspond to any of the speculation that is ongoing. Further, why should I or anyone else go over it again. Not to mention that me disagreeing would look like I am "stifling" conversation so what is the point. Maybe JWB can pop in with another one of his brilliant comments. Yeah, I really wonder where everyone went.

And as another note, I also hope to see snowy around. I don't post as often as I use to either but hopefully she will still read and contribute once in a while. Good luck to you.

Oh, and I'll mention it again. Posting with links will likely get your links killed or your post taken down. Again, read the TOS for Topix. Maybe offer the links on a site if you want them to stay up.
