It was written in the first person without quotes so if it was or was not a re-gurge of another site, it was still worth the warning. I still get confused as to why people repost Renner's or Green's or Ledyard's crap on this forum. If anyone had any interest in what they are/were writing, they could find their way over. And of course if it is a re-post of their crap, it runs the risk of being removed according to topix TOS. And I will admit I find some of your posts funniest of all. Here is an excellent example. "He may be legit, who knows." So after two pages of your excellent sleuthing skills maybe yes, maybe no. Outstanding work. Nothing like nailing down those facts. Trying to get caught up here. Did someone find a backpack? Also, back in 2004 if you googled Dominque Salamone, he had a Hanson phone number, and before anyone jumps all over me I'm not suggesting anything. Why would LE tell Linda Salamone that the investigation had taken a different direction and that Maura's phone call to Salamones was not part of that investigation , but take the heat publicly from Sharon that they (LE), were nothing short of an inept group of investigators????? Hello to my German hacker friend. I'm just wondering why family didn't call the numbers from Maura's phone bill which they had access too? Why did they wait 9 months? Kind of silly just walking around in the cold rather than call the last couple of numbers on her cell phone bill before she went missing. You call LE inept? No body thought to call the last 5 or 6 numbers that maura dialed? Maura's sister her boyfriend both graduates of west point please let us not think that this idea wasn't acted apon. The reason why family and LE didn't cal would be..........wait for it..........wait for it..........they already knew where she was going. Later on when the relationship got sour with LE - Sharon called the number to make LE look inept, but I believe everyone knew where she was going. Just my opinion.

It is LE job to investigate and not the family.They had the phone records and opted not to call the last known number that Maura called. I would think that all numbers Maura called in the last few days prior to that monday would have been looked into by LE whether dialing them or searching their origen. My guess is they ran all the numbers including the Salamones.

Lighthouse, Of course I would do anything possible to find my child but at the same time you must let LE do their investigation.It is a fine line to walk.I would probably conduct searches as Fred did as well as call all her friends. The family probably assumed that LE would have done the no brainer and inquired about the phone calls she made especially the last call.I bet they were stunned to find out that the Salamon es were not contacted early on.

Were they really stunned? I would think the PI's would want those phone records to call as well. They started working the case in what April - May. Obviously a quick search in the woods then doesn't help I would think they would want to try the phone records first thing, but they don't either? Then June when comparing the case against Maitlands they don't look to see if the last numbers were called? And when the 300 or so volunteers arrived whenever they helped search in the first two weeks no one came up with this idea? Because if that is really the case I'm believing more and more she is in the woods. If they're that many retarded people handling the case and searchering I'd question if they had the ability to ID a body in the snow or walk right over it. Just my opinion.

Lighthouse,remember the investigators (private) were not running an independent invest as per Healy.They were working together in order to not compromise the case.

So if Healy was working "with" LE he wouldn't ask LE if they checked her phone records? It is so illogical that no matter what you state you can't reach a logical explanation as to why it wasn't done. So you have to believe: 1. That it was done 2. They knew where she was going to stay and it didn't need to be done To think anything else in my opinion would be absurd.
