Yeah, you're right.

Alrighty then.:)
Frostman wins the ice cream cone, it is Sherbrooke, Quebec. I had already searched a bit around Beauharnois and Montreal, and when Frostman said Sherbrooke, I checked there and found Renner's location. I used the church seen in the photo for my search.
Here are the coordinates - plug them in to Google and then go stand on the corner in street view:
45.401394,-71.89046
Renner is standing on the northwest corner of Rue King Ouest at its intersection with Rue Wellington North. He is facing the Subway across the street. To his right across the street is St. Patrick's Catholic Church, and to the left of that is an interesting building, bisected in the photo by the traffic signal pole, all of which can be seen in street view.
No idea how you do it but awesome job Maruchan. Excellent researching. James posted his itinerary about an hour after your find. Confirmed your research.

If nothing else, James is certainly pumping up interest in his upcoming book. He may be premature, he needs to continue to stroke the masses until publication. If the trail goes limp, he will have to find another way to excite Maura Murray followers. He does seem to know what he is doing though. A professional.
I dunno about that. I think there are some that are sitting back patiently waiting to see if it's just another wild goose chase.
I doubt the interest in his book will get pumped up by what he is doing now. I think the interest will depend on what if anything he finds out. JMHO

He will work it to his advantage no matter what. He is not s dumb guy. I don't think he would be posting on his blog like he is if he didn't have a plan to cover any outcome of this trip. I also do not think he would have made this trip without some solid information that would give him some confidence. The documentary crew could skew that assessment though. Maybe his hand was forced by the opportunity to have a film crew along. I think he will work it to his advantage whether he finds anything or not. The timing seems wrong for his book, but it's his ballgame, he can play by his own rules.

Ah and the pot has pointed to the kettle. Whoever used their "power" to hurt you was very naughty. Shame on them, but, now you're a big girl, let's get some therapy and try to move past it okay? I believe at moments like this, it's customary to offer a warm beverage...Cup of Cashmere tea and a warm muffin perhaps? xoxo
Ah, and the big boy with the extra large muffin top pants has come back for another bitch slap. Nobody used their "power" to hurt me. Let me lower myself to your level and explain the core concept; I was referring to Beagle's blog. Is that a building block that is concrete enough for you? No? Keep sliding down the learning curve like the banana splits, mmmkay?

Renner claims "there have been credible sightings in Sherbrooke". Oh, ok. There were credible sightings of the McStay family as well.

I also wonder if these sightings were before or after April 2009. Makes a big difference imo.

I can´t help but wonder if Renner´s trip to Canada is a sincere effort to find MM, or more of an attempt at promoting his upcoming book and the documentary. I believe a true investigative endeavor would and should not be loudly announced online, giving the subject time to flee and cover their tracks.

Yup. To me, this begs the question, if there were "credible sightings" in Sherbrooke, why the need to also post flyers in Montreal, Beauharnois and Quebec City?

Renner said: "I believe you are alive. And I believe I know where you went." I sure didn't think he meant the entire province of Quebec.

Driving, Montreal is 24 miles from Beauharnois;
Montreal is 156 miles from Quebec City;
Montreal is 98 miles from Sherbrooke;
Sherbrooke is 144 miles from Quebec City.

This is a vast area. It is pretty much the equivalent, area size-wise, of searching for Maura in an area combining Amherst, MA, Albany, NY, and New York City and saying you know where she is in that area. I don't think Renner really has a clue where she is.

I think an interesting question is, did Renner contact the documentary filmmakers (now called "investigators" - that was a bit misleading as well), or did they contact him? I think chances are high it was the latter. They need to film something (Renner sitting at his computer typing on his blog is not very compelling), so voila! An investigative journey around Quebec.

I think he has gotten people's hopes up for nothing. I think this trip is just a vanity project for Renner and a way to drum up more interest in his book.

Also, as Wowzer said, I have no problem at all eating massive murders of crow if Maura is found. I want to know what happened to her, we all do, whether she is dead or alive, I want to know. If Renner finds her alive, I will leap for joy and praise him highly. I just don't think it's going to happen.

Helena Dwyer Murray posted this a few hours ago on the MM Group Facebook page:

"We certainly hope that Mr. Renner is successful in his search, but the reality is the rumor that Maura was in Sherbrooke started on a Topix page on Apr 8, 2009. The information along with other seemingly detailed information was sent to the NH Attorney General's office at the time."

Habs is referring to one of two posts from April 8, 2009.

-- Tourist in Canada: "I saw Maura Murray alive and well in Sherbrooke Quebec, I approached her and said 'Hi Maura.' She turned toward me and said 'Hi' then gasped and looked like she was going to pass out from shock. I have no doubt this was Maura Murray. She is apparently alive and well and living in Canada. When I saw her she was with very handsome young man."

-- Canada: "Maura Murray was seen in Quebec City, Quebec Province. She is alive and well. Very well. Her new squeeze is a hunk."

you don't think it's going to happen because you're a little prick who feeds on drama. You're waiting in the wings to rip Renner to shreds if he can't locate her. You're a keyboard bully who never had the nuts/ovaries to get off your god damned ass and do anything productive but toss rumors around and debate on topix.

If James finds Maura, are you topix obsessed fruit loops going to keep this board going, or are you going to start a new thread called, "James Renner staged the whole thing to sell books." Lol.

At the very least, he showed this board for what it is: a toxic dump not interested in finding Maura. This board solely exists for the sheer purpose of the social interaction of a handful of ego-driven asshats looking to keep this case going forever. No one here cares about Maura. You care about your theories and assertions and if they're correct or not.

If James finds Maura, I think everyone would pack up and go home, I know I would.
Is this really why JR went to Canada? Because of the mystery posts in 2009?
