I'm a little disappointed in these recent posts. Some of your posts I've enjoyed but it seems now you are here for the same reasons that you accuse others of. This post is just mean and nasty. You call people names and insult them and tell them to get off their as* and do something productive but what is it that you have personally done that has been productive? Maruchan has been quite helpful to this forum with his/her talent of finding information and facts. When he/she is wrong she is the first to admit it. It doesn't seem that calling Maruchan nasty names is being very productive. Thanks Wowzer.:)

Okay, there are about 770 residents in Saint-Étienne-de-Beauharnois, 10 of whom are reportedly Anglos (if you believe Wikipedia, um… ahem). If JR were to hang the Union Jack in the centre of town and hire a band of roving minstrels to sing “God Save the Queen” he might get to meet the locals all at once. Possibly at the end of a double-barreled shotgun or two, but hey it might save a lot of door-knocking.

Scarinza of the NH State Police in 2009. The report was written by a CPA named James Leone. Leone knows computers. He understands how to track an IP address. He was contacted by the moderator of a forum devoted to finding what happened to Maura Murray." Some discussion was held on this matter back in Sept 2012 on Topix that would likely answer these questions as best they can be answered: http://www.topix.com/forum/city/franconia-nh/... .

Thanks. I have one additional question. What geo-location resource did Ben Franklynne use? Assuming that you do not know; is there a way to get in touch with him? Here's why I ask: I am not so much interested in whether BF determined the correct location, in fact, but whether he used the same resource used by Topix. If that's unclear, I can clarify my question.

Thanks for responding Advocate. Reposting your response here to make it part of this discussion: Advocator wrote: Before things get farther into left field than they already are, some clarification is needed.
I have seen the report by Ben Franklynne. It does NOT implicate "Citigirl" in any way, nor was it meant to. Someone has misunderstood.
Ben had traced the IP address of poster "Observer" who made ONE post on the forum I was then running. Since "Observer" referenced the Geocities webpage about Maura supposedly ending up in Canada, etc. and then completely disappeared, it seemed of value to Ben F. to try to find out who or where "Observer" was. He was able (if I recall right) to trace the IP address to the vicinity of Taunton or North Attleboro, MA.
He noticed that at the time, there were 3 individuals who posted on Maura's Topix forum whose IP locations came up as Taunton or North Attleboro. "Citigirl"s just happened to be one of those -- the other 2 were also women. Ben's reference to these 3 individuals was just an "on the side" comment, as he in fact believed it most likely that poster "Observer" had used a proxy server in the Taunton, MA area to further hide his/her location. Perhaps the police could track "Observer" down but Ben could not. Ben did not in any way believe that "Citigirl" was "Observer", nor did he think the other 2 posters were.
Mason had no involvement in this.
It's very unfair to "Citigirl" to perpetuate this misunderstanding.

As to what resource he used, I don't know, Sam. As far as getting in touch, the last time I was in touch with him was a good couple of years ago, and at that time he had "moved on" from discussions of MM and had no further wish to be contacted or involved.

Fair enough. I believe, however, that it will become another unanswered question. Today, I went to nine Wifi hotspots and posted a comment on Topix. http://goo.gl/H3Z6qu . I found that only 1 of the 9 posts reflected an accurate location. Therefore, if BF had wished to match a Topix poster to Observer, the actual location of the poster might not be conclusive. I hope that he will surface, if briefly, to prevent the risk that misinformation will cast either citigirl or Martha in a negative light.

I wouldn't mess with Dave Whalen. He was obsessed with Maura and if they're together he'd want to make sure they stayed together. Imho.

Interesting Theory Rolo, but I don't know of to many banks that will allow $4000 withdraw (ATM) at one time. At least my banks have had under $600 in one day. It is a security measure so nobody steels your card and password and wipes out your account.

Hans Strudle wrote: At the very least, he showed this board for what it is: a toxic dump not interested in finding Maura. This board solely exists for the sheer purpose of the social interaction of a handful of ego-driven asshats looking to keep this case going forever. No one here cares about Maura. You care about your theories and assertions and if they're correct or not. I don't understand why your getting so angry over this. Who can claim that they "care" for Maura. Who can claim special feelings to care more for this stranger as oppossed to another complete stranger. Does Maura deserve the same care as a 6 year old gunned down at school. Does her story (which most is tried to kept secret) make more pity for you? I don't think the statement "No one cares for Maura" is a bad thing. Everyone can care about strangers as far as humanitity goes, but if someone is caring more for this stranger I'd like to know why special feelings have developed.
