PART II
Over time, I came to learn where this cousin and first cousin live, although I have never told anyone where that is (who did not already know; i.e., James). Oddly enough, however, it turns out that Maura has YET another relative living on the same street, who is someone I did not know about, despite having a very detailed family tree of the Murrays going back to 1872. ~ LLCool Green |

Judged: 1 1 1 Is it a clue? I've been trying to verify this tip with limited success so I'm putting it out there to see if anyone knows more. This one comes from a source close to the crime scene. Word is police were once interested in a pair of brothers who made snow out at Loon Mountain in Feb. 2004. They drove to work every evening along Rt. 112 and would have passed the scene of Maura's disappearance. My source was told by police that the night Maura disappeared, the brothers did not show up for work. If you know who these brothers were, please email the info to me so I can attempt to rule in/rule out this pair. Posted by James Renner at 8:20 AM 7 comments: A couple of the comments: LizzAugust 18, 2011 at 9:54 AM I heard something about brothers way back on one of the Maura missing sites. There was a write up about how one brother claimed that the other did something to her!!!!!!! I can't find that write up now! AnonymousSeptember 6, 2011 at 5:48 AM Jim, have you been able to inquire what has happened with the evidence and rug samples they took from the valley road A Frame? why did they pick that house? was this where the brothers from loon lived? Reply AnonymousSeptember 9, 2011 at 9:29 AM Do you think these are the same brothers that were related to the knife that was given to Fred? and to the A frame? In reading another article the a frame was rented by the brother who owned the knife. http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search... |

Maruchan, I believe that poster is user "Billwood." I know a lot about that situation, more about the person his sons were implicating than the poster Bill, himself. Obviously, I'm not going to elaborate on that here. But, I thought his moniker might be helpful when searching for his posts. |

Judged: 3 3 2 Most of you who have been following this for a long time do, yes. I'm definitely not saying otherwise. Although, I do think "many times" is maybe a little much. I've seen the family in question discussed only a handful of times throughout this entire thread and haven't found them mentioned at all in archives. And yes, I do know their real names and the nicknames used to describe them in public. Obviously, emails and other private conversations are a different matter altogether. Regardless, given the context of the question, I simply felt it was beneficial to provide the username associated with the poster Maruchan cited. Things like that help new followers of the case to find information that isn't easily available. Sometimes newcomers get the sense that people who talk about Maura's disappearance is a sort of 'good old boys club. In my opinion, that's detrimental. Do you have any thoughts on Billwood's theories, Hannah? |

A lot of the discussions are not archived, bc deleted years ago. There was talk about this person on the very long thread that got deleted, I beleive also on the deleted thread that was created after that one, and also on Advīs second forum, the one thatīs no longer available. Other than that the archive is great resource. Regarding mr S, the discussions mostly concluded he was not well liked in the community, but there was nothing to tie him to MM. I think it may all be part of the anti-Haverhill conspiracy, and a result of the efforts by some to find a "local dirtbag" to pin MMīs disappearance on. As long as there are no evidence of a crime, I prefer to think there was no crime committed against MM. I am totally willing to eat crow if evidence of a crime somehow turns up. |

I have those posts stored on my other computer... He was very specific with names and addresses and how people were related to people. The gist of it all was: member of prominent local family killed MM, was protected by relatives in "higher places". |
Too funny. But I'm pretty sure Mcsmom was asking about something else. |
|
This is what she said, so I misunderstood then. Maybe you should get an account Mcsmom. |
|
Personally, I didn't think much of the words that were put out there from that NH person claiming all sorts of wild things against people. It sounded more like revenge to me, and for what, I don't know.

Bill05478, Jan 6, 2011:
"911 received a call from Faith Westman at 7:27pm, police were dispatched at 7:29pm, police did not arrive until 7:46pm. At 7:43pm police received a second 911 call from Mr. Atwood, this did not go through right away as 911 advised all circuits were busy, Mr. Atwood advised there was one female with no PI but appeared shook up. 911 returned the call where Mrs. Atwood advised that her husband saw the crash came home to call but no idea where the girl is. So from the time the witnesses saw Maura how much time did it take them to get home and to the phone to call 911? Could that alone have been 5-10 minutes? So that would put the time around 7:17-7:22pm that she was last seen, police did not arrive until 7:46pm that's anywhere from 24-29 minutes. That in reality is a long time in a place where there is nothing but woods and absolutely no cell phone reception. Also a local contractor named RF had reported seeing Maura on the night of her accident around 8 about 4 to 5 miles from the scene of her abandoned car. F lived on Wild Ammonoosuc Road about 100 yards from where Maura's car was found. F was returning home from a contract job in Franconia about 17 miles away when he observed a young woman who fit Maura's description running eastbound on Route 112. She was a runner and given a 38-43 minute head start she quite possibly could've been that far away by that time, or this guy was just trying to get his name and face in the media, who knows? I know this much the people in Woodsville know something but are afraid to speak out because of fear of repercussions. The main suspect whose name will remain anonymous for now is well connected. His father is a prominent business owner, as are other members of his family. But, the kicker is his step mother is the county attorney. This guys own family believe he could have done something in this case or at the very least been involved. Let me just put it this way my son is married to his ex-niece, and she too believes he could be involved somehow, someway. Now I just need to open pandora's box, which is easier said than done. Oh yeah and it is not just keeping his identity private but LE is staying clear of him. His family basically owns Woodsville, and he is known as a for lack of a better word a psycho. His family also has refused to cooperate in the investigation. Yes Grafton County and yes to both now and then. Frankly they can get pissed all they want, sometimes the truth hurts. They know who did it, he is their number one suspect, but they cannot do anything because of the families ties and failure to cooperate. To be honest I believe it is more political than it is the fault of the police in this, their hands have been tied for almost 7 years now. With a lack of a body and lack of any physical evidence or even an eyewitness, they are unable to issue search warrants, and without the cooperation of the family by now most evidence is gone anyways. All I am doing is relaying what has been told to me, all the stories are different I will admit but in the end they all point at the same guy. As for my boys little by little they are saying more and more. But, to tell you the truth before I knew about this whole thing which wasn't until October of 2010 my boys had said nothing until I brought it up to them. That puzzles me, that for 6 and a half years they never even mentioned anything especially where one of my sons thrives on gossip. But when my oldest is married to his ex-niece and they both say think he did it I believe them. I was told this whole situation is why his ex-wife left Woodsville and moved over here to VT. What's your take do you think she was abducted and murdered or do you think she wanted to disappear? There are so many what if's out there that is why I never released his name, but I do know this when the police asked to search his place of employment his fathers business they were denied access. My opinion if you're not guilty why not let them look." |

Also a local contractor named Rick Forcier had reported seeing Maura on the night of her accident around 8 about 4 to 5 miles from the scene of her abandoned car. I agree with all this. I think about the ones who are writing books on this. Like JR. JR talks with police. After all this time of looking for answers, he believes that Maura could be alive. That's a pretty huge thing to say without reason, and why would he? Not asking you Hannah, I'm just agreeing that this other idea hasn't panned out. |
|
Judged: 1 1 1 And if that's all it takes to be left alone then so be it. If LE REALLY thought there was something to look into concerning the above, they would have done it. There are other ways. I call gossip on that one and gossip is dangerous. |

Thanks for posting that too Hannah.
