Judged: 1 1 1 Officer Smith came across a car with no driver and minimal damage. Car was locked Alcohol present From his view it seems like a routine minor accident and driver probably got a ride. Why would he ponder any other conclusion? |

L o o n g and impossible to follow. |

Sometimes people are mistaken. They think they heard something or saw something when they didn't. Or they did see or hear something, but misunderstood. Witnesses can sometimes be unreliable. It reminds me of this: "if a tree falls in the woods and no one is there to see it, did it really fall?" |

I'm sure Smith saw accidents like that everyday. It was a fluke. End of story.
Why was she headed in either direction? What is the common link? |
Agreed. |
Trust nothing other than the fact that Maura has not been seen since feb 9 2004.. |
I concur. |
Yes. Accidents DO happen every day. The officer likely was experienced with the situation and trained in proper response. |
Now Now my bearded man He starts off being told there is a man with the car by the dispatch reports. he get to the scene and the car is empty. I would think normal procedure would be to run the plate the plate is in Fred's name Then he hears that SBD says he talked with a girl Car is locked No signs of distress I still see it as routine other than a quicker response to contact the owner of the vehicle |
Yes. I can see it would take Y E A R S to read! |
You make a good point. |
I had a car stuck in the ditch outside my house awhile back. It sat there for two days and I didn't think twice about it. I m not a cop but I agree that this started out routine. |

Yes. it fell. You said it fell in the set-up. |
As above, so below then. |
It is problematic. And tedious. And out of sequence. |

I feel for those who have been dragged into this saga without provocation and sympathy for none that have either planted themselves into the case or are deserving of the scrutiny. I don't know which part of that statement this Moulton guy fits. |
