The whole nose to nose thing is just stupid, obviously the first officer on the scene was parked nose to nose, I find it hilarious that Columbo writes NOSE TO NOSE Like it's some proof of conspiracy.

Maura spun around and ended up ass end into the snowbank & then was parked the wrong direction. So the first officer on the scene had to park nose to nose or otherwise he wouldn't be blocking oncoming traffic with his lights. That is a total non-issue.

The bigger issue is how the hell did she even get any damage to her front end if smith's report is at all accurate? He claims she spun out around the curve, which apparently she did considering that she ended up ass end into the snowbank. Well ok but if that's what happened then where the hell did all the damage to her front end come from? Think about it, if she spun out going around a left hand turn then her ass end would slide out to the right. This would make her right side be the side to sustain damage, she spun all the way around and ended up ass end in the bank, how did her front left be the only part of her car that sustained damage? Think about it logically, it makes no sense at all.

Something interesting is that an EMS guy who was on the scene seems to be better at analyzing accident scenes than smith did. He said that he saw the snowbank on the inside if the curve sheared off. This actually explains the damage to the front left, if she went across the road & clipped the bank with her front left it would've damaged the front left & also spun her around to end up ass end in the bank. It is just interesting that an EMS driver's account of the accident actually fits the evidence better than smith's.

You can't ignore evidence Bill, you constantly gloss over the fact that the damage was to her front left even though that is actually the least likely corner of the vehicle to sustain damage after spinning out around a left hand turn. You also blatantly ignore the fact that in the original pictures there's no damage to her bumper yet damage above & below it. You're correct that there's no obvious indication of metal to metal contact, but you're missing the forest for the trees when you constantly harp on that one stupid point.
