One thing to remember concerning dogs tracking, it is completely hit or miss and just because the dog lost the scent does in no way mean that is where the person was picked up. More than likely the dog tracked a scent for a while and the scent got weak or the dog simply got interested in something else.
I think there has been much misunderstanding about how dogs track and what it meant when he lost the scent. If I recall who was on that night, I am pretty certain the dog was not a hound, there are only a few hounds, it more than likely was a regular K9, I seem to think it was SP623? Anyone who knows feel free to offer up.
The dog from what I read was an air scent tracker and the article used for scent reference ( a newer pair of gloves ) may not have even been worn by Maura according to her father. Second the dog was brought in two days later after how much human and vehicle traffic.

No two dogs track alike or are perfect and with the passage of time I would assume the job would be more difficult, though we here of phenomenal tracking feats these seem to be rare, Ideal conditions, trainer and dog all factor in. Trying to remember but I almost think it was a Shepard, but that's a vague guess.

If she is presumed to have run away to be with someone else you would think that person would be considered missing. Has the missing vermont man that was seen in waits river been discussed? He drove a Red 1997 pick up truck

So there isn't a map of unsolved homicides on the NHSP website? Thatr is the map to which I am referring, the one that you refuse to admit exists.

and, so what? is it "Silky's map", or not?
memorably, this "Silky" character was previously mentioned on Topix by a duck with whom she supposedly had some strange encounter as they were gazing together underneath a chandelier to receive clues about MM's disappearance. how weird is that?

after you, SB, waxed eloquently in another post about "Silky", you refused to answer my question as to who she was and why you thought she was such a compelling figure in MM's disappearance. instead, panties in a tight knot, you lashed out about having respect for the deceased.
again, really, really weird stuff.

Snowy, keep refusing to answer my question - nonetheless, the fact remains that the link to the NHSP website presents this map. If you have a problem with NHSP having the map on their website, I strongly suggest that you take it up with them. I thought that you were such an enthusiastic supporter of NH LE? If so, why are you so infuriated by their maps?

"Silky" whoever she was has nothing to do with this. I never met her. I think you're confusing me with someone else.

For what it's worth, I have no idea whether or not "Silky" was instrumental in working on Maura's case. She had constucted a website that was quite exhaustive in ACCURATELY listing unsolved homicides and missing persons cases in NH and VT. What is extremely strange is that anyone would object so strongly to solving these cases. Again, the only people who have a reason to object are those who have an undisclosed reason to object - perhaps fearing for the supposed effect on tourism (which would be far more positive if such cases were solved than otherwise - perhaps finding such inquiries too close for comfort. If there are other reasons, please enlighten me. I can't imagine what they might be.

ok since it seems that this theory was dismissed those that judged my comment ,but no one took the time to explain how could someone else have met up with her to start a new life together and that other person not be missed or have gone missing?

I henostly think that no possibility can be eliminated unless it really is proven inaccurate. I happen to not think this likely, but I don't know.

Maybe he did what a normal person would do and told his family and friends he was moving. Or maybe he didn't go anywhere at all and she went to his home. That is if that is what happened which I'm not saying it was.

Maybe she's missing but he/she isn't. They could have perhaps just helped her to get away and start/set up her new life?

the oddity here is the worship of this person, of questionable character, along with her supposed relocation from NH to MN around the time of Brianna's disappearance. the details about her conduct made available in the public domain are unsavory, and yet, you have continued to hammer home the issue of NH's being "unsafe" and populated with serial killers.
within your constellation of associates, and by wild speculation, individuals have been linked as serial killers...right down to the absurdity of physical descriptions and psychological profiles made by one of the resident, on-call psychics.
some time ago i made a wise decision not to believe most everything i read here without first consulting the source of information. unfortunately, credibility has been severely lacking.
in the end, there is no new info about "Silky's map".

So, Snowy, you're saying that NHSP should NOT have maps of unsolved murders and missing persons cases on their website, do I have that about right?

I know its a big stretch and I am just throwing stuff out there. What is to say this individual got her situated in her new life and then he left his wife to be with maura. He had just divorced the time he disapeared and with out a trace. a 230 lb man and his Red truck are just gone the location he was last seen is approx 27 miles from woodsville. The myspace page that was done up for him as a missing person ironically has Maura as a top 10 friend. I know you dpn't believe in phychics but the scetch I had referenced in Brians drteams sort of resembles

I just feel that she was meeting up with someone. Why would you walk down that road alone at night in pitch dark and freezing cold and not know where you are going. Take your backpack and three bottles of booze and lock your car doors?

off subject , but I have a problem with the crash scene. If you were driving eastbound and that left heading corner came upon you and it does as I have driven the area tons of times. The vehicle would have slid off to the right and side towards the corner.

I don't see why the car would have gone anywhere near the left bank and clip it as is stated. I wonder if they ever looked at the tire tracks and compared them.
