Too bad. I am a very experienced hiker, especially in the White Mountains who has taught GPS use for search and rescue for decades. I would have to believe he knows anything before I would offer my services. You know, some information for me to believe he knows anything and wasn't just trying to flush out someone for some unknown wild goose chase. Probably anyone thinking about being involved with him should wonder that.

I've logged my fair share of caches, too. Wish I lived up that way. I hope he elaborates soon.

Bill, do you know where the nearest AT trailhead to Maura's crash is? I'm planning a thru for 2016 and am thinking it would be nice to take a zero in the area if I make it that far. I know you peak Mt. Moosilauke then head towards Franconia Notch but as far as trailheads I haven't found much information.
