But this time it wasn't about him, at least in my eyes. It was about someone taking the name of a beloved family oriented business and putting it into a negative light.
If Renner was upset with John he should have handled it between the two of them instead of bringing innocent people into the mess.
Yes Columbo has said many mean things in the past and may have helped fuel the fire on this but Renner is supposed to be a professional and should have known better than to drag this business into the middle of the trouble between he and Columbo..

If that makes me a sheep or bamboozled as some say then so be it.
And yes I may have misspelled a word or two here. I don't know for sure because I'm not going to go over everything I write to correct a mistake or two on an internet forum. Not everyone is the best of spellers but that certainly doesn't mean that they are stupid.

JR didn't need to use the company's name in his blog, however it is equally as silly reading Columbo's posts about how it is wrong for him to do that when he has no problem playing his little games for years.

For the last week Det Columbo has been crying like a little baby about this issue, but not once did he stop and reason with himself and say "maybe I shouldn't have done the garbage I have been doing for years."

Your posts have read that Columbo actions make the company's name being mentioned okay which it isn't. Simple two wrongs don't make a right fallacy (TU QUOQUE) will show us that.

Did FM NOT see the Saturn while he was in Amherst? Maybe not. But if you're car shopping don't you usually at least glance at the car you're getting rid of?

If FM saw the Saturn that weekend, then he would have seen the same damage seen by BSG. Before the car left Amherst in the first place.

then comes Renner who, surprisingly, has resorted to the same tactics.

neither is better than the other, imho. a percentage point or two doesn't make a lick of difference.

how does "Columbo" get a pass on exhibiting less than professional integrity? he's a PI, right?(i reserve my opinion on that status).
or are PIs notoriously lacking in integrity, but writers / journalists are held to a higher standard?
i maintain the behaviors of both are unflattering.

The only thing I am whining for is the removal of the link to CTP. No matter what I have done in the past does not give Renner the right to defame a local business of which I have had nothing to do w/ for 4 years.

He is the professional and he didn't do all the research.

i 'm not paying attention to your spelling. the glaring errors appear consistently in other posts, not yours. frankly, it's annoying, and i have every damn right to say so.

Short and simple; it has nothing to do with whether Columbo or James is wrong or right. It has to do with self responsibility. Why don't you bring your idiotic argument to criminal court and see how it floats? Well your honor, he raped my mother so I had no choice but to shoot him. Calling someone who has worked as a character actor at a family run tourist attraction a carney is an attempt at discrediting both the person and the business. The connotation is intended to add some sleaze to both. Whats more interesting however, is the glimpse it gives us into JR's research methods....CTP...A carnival.....Sheesh, I suppose The Cog railway is the american version of Uerail!

It´s amazing how the MM case seems to have come full circle with the latest developments on Renner´s blog. The Ducks all over again. I guess one involved party is as good a turd thrower as the other.

I guess it´s because DC never exhibited any professional integrity to begin with, while I had higher expectations on Renner, who started out with some, but seems to have thrown it all overboard. Behaviors of both unflattering, agreed.
