I read about Maura first about 4 hrs ago or so when a there was a Maura Murray link on a missing Missouri womans website. I quite reading last yr sometime when I got tired of people arguing some childish comments and the holier than thou attitude some possessed. Anyhow, I just thought about this the other night and read all 460 or so comments. Today, when I googled mauras name. There was another topix post about a role call. The last post I read was by wowzer. Maybe she wasn't lying about a death. Maybe she was talking about her own. Suicide? I know this has been discussed. And yes I read the mmm forum before it shut down. I admire everyones devotion. Not to be cruel, but I believe law enforcement knows alot more than all of the cyber detectives think. I.E. Suicide, Serial, family involvement, witness protection, powerfull or smart suspect. The fact that names have been dropped people accused or falsely accused has probably made the lawmans job harder. Some of the folks that genuinely care have got some blame on their shoulders whether they realize it or not. Just pointing out fact.

Caring, alone isn't enough if you poison the area so completely that no one would be willing to help or tell if they saw anything. Bill

Not sure why this post has been deleted 3 times, not outing anyone's REAL name. Just connecting k-9 to Columbo. Obviously I am annoying someone ;-)

I wonder why several "old timers" have changed their monikers. There's only a handful of us that have kept the same ones.

Really, grammar police? That's why I "quit"(I spelled it correctly for ya) reading last time. The exact same reason this group has made no progress. See ya again in a year or so..

concerned citizen wrote: <quoted text> As usual, you distort what was stated in order to spin things your way and detract from what occured. Fact is, those kids were born and raised in that town. Does that mean all people in that town have this mindset? No, of course not. But some obviously do because the murder of Chris Gray was planned and carried out by local residents. Your judgement on whether "4 people can create a decent human being", whatever that is supposed to mean, has no bearing on what happened. The point is it did happen and considering that an inmate in Grafton County jail helped to plan it via phone calls that were recorded, indicates it could have been stopped had anyone been paying attention. That was my point, in case you missed the obvious. Instead you chose to compare Haverhill to Hartford where people are killed nightly as if we should count our blessings that only Chris Gray has been murdered in the last 30 years. I consider that an extremely insensitive remark. I'm sure his family doesn't see it that way and neither do I. When I pointed out 2 other murders that occurred, you again shifted gears to ridicule me and claim that Mr. Powell's murder did not occur in the same town. I never said they did. Indelicato lived in the area in question although the murder of Mr. Powell was in Warren 15 miles away. By the way, Hartford is 18 square miles, larger than the distance to Warren, so how does that fit into your apples to oranges comparison? Tom Conrad was a local shot to death in his own driveway. For the record, I'm not trying to connect these murders as the work of a serial killer or imply that is what happened to Maura or anyone else. "A hot bed of violence"?? I never stated any such thing. These events hapened in an area that you and Snowy are convinced contains only innocent people ... Obviously you are wrong. Thank you for a clearly informed post. It would be impossible to compare haverhill to hartford ct. I'm relieved to see that someone sees the whole picture.

Snowy, That certainly is a point because comparing Hartford to Haverhill is silly. It does not negate the fact that crime up here has increased twofold in recent years.

There it is. The term twofold. A doubling. Twice as much. When people talk like that it is a distinct misunderstanding of statistics. A blip on the radar, not a trend. That is what makes the difference. Let me know when you can sustain a murder rate of 2 a year for several years in a row. Then you MAY have a trend. Right now, all you have is a blip - statistically speaking, nothing more. The trend, for over 50 years has been for a very, very low murder rate. One of the lowest, and many times the lowest, in the country for half a century. Bill

Maura, Tom Conrad, Mr. Powell, Christopher Gray, Christopher Flynn, and all others that I cannot recall right now are not just statistics. They are human beings who have people who care and are worried. Anyone can find statistics about the crimes in Grafton County, NH. (Please see asterick as to what is "Reported".) And, while I am here, any and all living souls should have the same attention by LE. They do not have to be perfect people, nor should they be judged as to their being worthy of their attention. If any paid EMS/LE employee of a Town deems a person or citizens unworthy of their service, then s/he should resign. Pat O'H..Briana.Maura.. Tom .Chris, are all worthy.
