my recollection is that mcsmom may have been the first to bring the matter of the "Londonderry ping" to topix. from there, it was extensively debated. does anyone else share that memory? and, further, i wonder where she got the info. why was it important to exist then, but not now?

The ducks to this very day continue to deny the existence of the Londonderry ping. Why do they deny this when it is in a legal document testified to under oath (penalty of perjury is real jail time), affidavit taken by the NH State Police, testimony given by a neutral, unbiased witness, ie., a Sprint representative. But some people will argue anything over and over. Why? I wonder? Why is it so very, very important to them that Maura did not receive a ping from within a 22 mile radius of Londonderry. This really makes me wonder just what is going on with these people. What are they trying to hide? And their fear of Renner, what are they afraid he will uncover? Just thoughts, semi-rhetorical questions. Good Night.

they did not deny it during the time Dawn was researching the issue. Dawn, in turn, insisted it did not exist.
there is no accounting for flip-flopping on all things MM.

They did not deny it at that time because Dawn was denying it for them, so they just kept their mouths shut on the subject. Why are the Murray family so frightened by a little ping? Just a little teeny ping has now become the big bad ping. The big scary ping. The big ping whose existence must be denied. There's a reason for this. What is it?

in fact, Dawn was challenged, to my recollection....and there were two separate rounds of discussions about it.
i have no horse in the race, and don't benefit by either side of the argument.
obviously, there is a push toward the existence of the londonderry ping.
further, while i don't have telecom knowledge, i question the contention that available technology would differ between verizon and sprint during a certain period of time.

the ducks have never been shy about making their opinions known, or conveniently planting / affirming / denying speculation, as needed. there is no proof of an outcome or consequence today by the existence of this stale document. its value has likely been determined some time ago by LE as part of the official investigation.

At the time sprint and Verizon had very different forms of technology. I don't recall what Sprint called there's but I do recall that it was an entirely diffeent type system. I recall going back and forth with Dawn about this (at the time I had a phone with Verizon (Cingular at the time I think)for personal use and one with Sprint for work), and they were two very different worlds in the way calls and information were transmitted and she also tried to tell me that my OnStar couldn't work if neither of the phones worked int he area, and she was wrong on that too so I just gave up---she wasn't accurate in the delivery of her information. At the time of the discussion, there were several other cases going on where LE used "pings" to locate people's cell phones making calls/receiving calls but she also insisted that they were wrong.

thanks for stepping up. i stand corrected, then, if you followed and participated in the conversation directly with Dawn.

Do you mean "my sister and I"? Kitten was right, your grammar is atrocious and it is difficult to read your posts. You seem to be a person of limited intelligence, uneducated, not very bright. You grab onto one idea and then just repeat it over and over like a broken record.

by way of semi-reply, two hot buttons have historically included "the golden egg" and "the Londonderry ping". mcsmom unfailingly reappears at the mention of either. to my recollection, mcsmom was immensely abusive to WhiteWash during the course of conversations regarding both topics. the personal insults hurled at WhiteWash were uncharacteristically foul and depraved, apart from the usual insults that took place on these threads.
seems a logical place to look for additional info and clues.

IMHO WhiteWash was one of the most helpful on the forums and did lots of leg work for information. For that she was stabbed in the back.

No I mean me and my sister. I will reply to postings as to the way I want to. Not how others think I should. If my post are that atrocious and so difficult to read then may I suggest that you just skip over them. You seem to be rather rude.

<quoted text>Fred did not go to bars antagonizing locals. It took some of us 3 hours to travel up north. We would sign in at the motel and then go off searching our seperate ways. We would then meet up at night and go to establishments that served food because we were hungry.
Citigirl please read the article by Mary Beth Conway in Southshoreexpress.com Missing part IV. Quote: Fred checks out eccentric local characters, any rumor we'll look at, peers into strangers vehicles, knocks on the doors of convicted felons. Complaints have been filed against him, and he's been warned by police for trespassing. I call that antagonizing!

Judging from this report and the that he goes to bars to listen in on conversations I can say that I have my doubts Fred just sits idly by like a fly on the wall. Would you like to be a local and have Fred listen in on your conversation after commenting Maura was taken by a "local scumbag" MANY from out of state drive rt 112, many from Mass. so I would say if he is going to refer to people as scumbags he needs to include tourist also.

If and that's IF Maura was grabbed it was highly likely a crime of opportunity, and ANYONE from ANYWHERE could have been involved. I can understand Fred's frustration and many people may well have been as frustrated in the same situation. That's why it is very wise to have a family spokesperson that is not as emotionally involved talking to the media. There's an old saying, words are like bullets, once they're fired you can't take them back!

Personally I think the "local scumbags" were more than tolerant of Fred, there's MANY places in this country he could and likely would have been harmed. Why I feel empathy for Fred, he didn't endear some of the locals, and when your in a situation like this you need ALL the help you can get. Granted a girl is missing and despite Fred's or others actions solving this is the highest priority, but human nature being what it is I am sure many people were turned off. Butch Atwood AKA SBD sure was, I often wonder if he had it to do over again would he have stopped or even admitted to seeing Maura.

I cannot and will not defend what has been said in the past.I have never had anything bad to say about the people from NH. But things hsve been said by locals concerning Mauras disappearance. And names have been mentioned. we dont know what is rumor or what is fact with what we have been told by some locals? Sometime back I had mentioned footprints that a neighbor had told us about near the accident scene. This person had made it sound like the footprints in this area were unusual.I live in another state and in the city and dont know what is normal for up there at that time of year.
