ABC is running the below quoted story about a Dallas serial rapist who is targeting alumnae members of a soroity:

Police in the Dallas area are hunting a suspected serial rapist who appears to be targeting alumnae members of one sorority, and each of the victims told investigators the assailant seemed to have personal knowledge about them.

Four alumnae of the same sorority — black women in their mid-50s to early 60s — were raped in their Dallas-area homes over the last 11 months, apparently all by the same assailant, according to an alert sent out by the Plano, Texas, Police Department.

The most recent of the attacks occurred around 9:15 p.m. Friday in Corinth, police said.

The police statement did not identify the sorority, but the Dallas Morning News reported that it was Delta Sigma Theta, and that the sorority had sent out email alerts to alumnae.

Some alumnae of the sorority told ABC News that they themselves had not received the email alerts, but said they had heard about them from others.

Besides the attack in Corinth, in Denton County, two of the rapes occurred in Plano and other in Coppell, both of which are in Dallas County.

The suspect, who is seen in a surveillance video released by the Plano police, is described as a black man, estimated to be in his late 30s to mid-40s, 5 feet seven inches to 6 feet tall and 250 to 300 pounds. He has a trimmed beard and short hair, and possibly a receding hairline, police said.

So Mr. Renner's latest post deals with sightings of Maura... The only ones I've heard of are the ones in the Wiki article here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maura_Murray#Pos...

Other than these 3, has anyone here heard of a sighting that sounds credible? There hasn't been one in Amherst, to my knowledge, but I defer to you guys. Mr. Renner has suggested he'd heard a few more, but he hasn't elaborated on them yet.

What about the Toronto fitness instructor rumor? Was that an alleged sighting? And when would that have been? And by whom?

It's also strange that Maura bought so much alcohol before her trip: bottles of vodka, Kahlua and Bailey's Irish Cream - none of which were found in her car. Where did the bottles go?

I agree that le has access to family acquaintances etc but that doesn't mean that that is where all the answers lie or does it? I am sure Mauras family wasn't privy to all that was going on with Maura. I have a 20 year old daughter and as much as I think I might know. I also Know that there are lots that she might not share with us.
Exactly, if ANY parent thinks they know everything about their children they are in for a reality shock. especially one that's away from home in college.

Really ? So a Sprint Representative lied under oath?
And NH State Police Officer Todd Landrey lied when he said "if we knew who made the Londonderry call we would know everything." ???? U can't really say they were mistaken since cell tower technology is not new, It is not considered advanced technology, it is basic, routine, unsophisticated and used every day by LE all over the world.
I think its a bit arrogant or naive for a police officer to say if we knew who made the call we would know everything. As I stated previously the call could have been anyone including a company. Rite aid calls me all the time when a script is ready or for a survey. If Todd Landrey actually said that then I have little confidence in his investigative experience and skill.

According to Renner (and the police report) the rest of the alcohol *was* in the car, and like so many other things, was misreported to be missing. He directly responded to WTH/Bill with the following comment, which can be found http://mauramurray.blogspot.com/2011/07/no-al... It's discussed more in the comments section. Renner hasn't made any claims he hasn't been able to back up, so I'm going to go with him on this.

Bill, I don't understand your point. Can you be more clear? I'm saying all the booze was left in the car, where it was later found and catalogued by police. Some reports stated that the vodka and baileys were missing, meaning she took it with her to wherever she disappeared."
I took that to mean that all the alcohol was accounted for, though I would very much like to see the police report. The problem I still have with this case is that things aren't as available as I'd like. Though, Renner does have an "evidence" section with some documentation available: http://mauramurray.blogspot.com/p/suspects.ht...

I've heard two stories, the alcohol was gone when PD arrived and then Renner claims he called Haverhill PD and the alcohol is accounted for. My first question is IF Haverhill did talk to Renner and give him info on an ongoing investigation, that's inappropriate.

As much as I hate to say it it seems Maura did drink a bit more than what I would call average, but maybe not for a college student today. I have seen people put away some serious alcohol in a few days time and I don't think it is absolute to say Maura didn't buy it for her own consumption.

it would be unrealistic and counterintuitive to fostering independence to expect to know "everything" about one's young adult offspring.
in an emergency, however, and when your kid goes missing, you'd inquire of his/her friends pretty quickly.

Thanks. I see the booze as a possible indication of a planned rendezvous, whether or not she took it all with her when she abandoned her car

I agree completely. Here's a link to an article published in the NH Sunday News on 10/29/2007, which discusses Maura putting Bailey's in her coffee: https://www.facebook.com/groups/shesnotthere/...

I had to put it on FB as a document because the Union Leader link was dead-- I found the contents on ProjectJason. Links are there on the FB doc.

Untrue. There is at LEAST the wine mentioned. Try to be clear please. Your disagreeing doesn't bother me, wasting my time making me clarify FOR you does. Many of the documents are available online anyway.

Can anyone offer a link as to where Lt. Landry made this statement? I can't say for sure but I suspect it may not be accurate.

It was in a northern NH newspaper. I have no idea which one. For some reason I want to say Caledonian? I am totally unfamiliar with NH media sources, someone linked to it along time ago. I quoted it exactly as it was printed. If anyone doesn't like this quote please don't tell me about it, instead contact Todd Landrey. I am sick and tired of defending this statement , I didn't say it, I merely quoted it verbatim.
