I hadn't considered Fred, ever, as the person Maura was meeting, coming from Eastern MA up 93 & making the call near Londonderry. But it does make sense. After Maura's first accident, didn't Fred rent a car & go to Connecticut for work? Was he home again in Weymouth by Monday, and heading North to meet Maura? He wasn't immediately available to police when they called. Fred's schedule in those 48 hours will either exonerate him of being the one to meet her in NH or prove it was him. Kitten the blue ribbon was put on the tree some time after the accident. It most likely snowed more by then.

Meant the position of that specific tree to the road, not the amount of snow showing in the picture. It's close enough to the road that a pile of snow high enough to impede getting out of the car is possible. It would help to see pictures of the accident scene the night of. Wonder if the police thought the scene was strange enough to warrant taking pics. The missing driver should have been a clue, but does anyone know if they actually did take pics right after they got there?

It was a little further down the road by a stand of smaller trees on the front lawn of one of the houses. I think they probably thought at the time that it was just another car that didn't make the sharp curve and the driver had been drinking and took off to avoid a DWI. JMHO

I know the conversation has been fred, but I just keep finding oddities while looking at BA and here is another one > This from the hanson Express Atwood stepped out of his bus and asked Maura if she wanted him to call the police. Maura told him not to bother, saying that she had already called AAA, Atwood said. Atwood said that Maura remained on the driver's side of her car, about 15 to 20 feet away and stayed there during their entire conversation. A heavy-set man about 60 years old, Atwood may have cast an intimidating figure to Maura. Atwood stopped by the scene of the accident and saw a young woman alone in the car whom he later identified as Maura Murray. Her dark hair was hanging down, not in its customary bun, though Atwood said he could clearly see her face. She was "shook-up," but not injured, he reported to police. "I saw no blood...She was cold and she was shivering," Atwood told the Caledonian Record.

The average travel lane is 9-10 not 15-20 feet wide. If Ba Got out of his bus and stood on the yellow line.Even at 10' away, it is so dark there that it begs to question how he could see maura in detail and, How was BA able to communicate with Maura through the Passenger side window unless it was rolled down? Was the vehicle found with the passenger window rolled down? Good question for renner to ask Mr Lavoi.

I guess you never know what's behind closed doors. With all those frozen dinner boxes I guess someone didn't like to cook. I really hope that there was a dog in the house.

Bear in mind that this is a vacant house. I don't know the neighborhood but vacant houses can be used by a myriad of people including kids/homeless/druggies/etc. I grew up in a town/city setting and I remember the use and disrepair that vacant houses use to get. There is not necessarily any correlation between Fred and what that house is now. Unless prove I would give him the benefit of the doubt. And as most know, I am not a Fred fan. But, in my opinion, a fair, reasonable, person shouldn't jump to conclusions based upon this report. Bill

Bill renner states his relatives lived across the street; that presupposes some oversight. it is unclear whether the house is currently in his name, was abandoned by him, or foreclosed. renner suggests some belongings/mail remain and identified him by name.

From what I've seen, hoarding seems to always be connected to trauma or loss. So I guess I'm not surprised. Very sad. I wonder if the hoard started pre-Maura missing or after.

Copied from the International Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder Foundation website: "Hoarding usually begins early in life, though onset can vary greatly. --- The typical age of onset for hoarding behavior (though not hoarding disorder) is around age 13. At that time the behavior is usually mild and would not be considered a disorder. Hoarding typically progresses to become a moderate problem in the 20’s and 30’s, and a severe problem in the 40’s and 50’s. Onset appears to be earlier in women than in men, though hoarding occurs more frequently in men than in women. Late onset of hoarding (after age 40) is rare and seems to occur in people who have mild hoarding to begin with and suffer a loss of some kind."

More from the same website: ..."there are certain core vulnerabilities including emotional dysregulation in the form of depression or anxiety along with family histories of hoarding and generally high levels of perfectionism."

Well, Renner didn't say what kind of adult magazines, playboy or hardcore. Having pictures of other girls from school inside is a bit bizarre. Were these magazines Fred's or his brother Danny's, his brother did live there a while and as far as the other junk was it Fred's? Renner stated the mail was Fred's but the magazines were not named as Fred's. I guess if someone could trace down the 2 woman then they may be able to figure out if it was Fred or Danny's adult magazines. Sounds a bit dysfunctional when you take the whole picture into consideration. All in all it doesn't make Fred a psycho, many people have eccentric personalities but they are harmless.

It's hard to say for sure who left all the trash. Renner said that Fred's brother and sister used the house occasionally. I have doubts about a stranger staying there because his family lived across the street. I doubt they would have allowed druggies or homeless people to use the house. I'm thinking that whoever ate the frozen dinners did so before the utilities were shut off. I just can't picture someone eating as many dinners as Renner said was piled up, frozen and uncooked. Even with a small toaster oven they would still need electricity. Just my thoughts...

jwb wrote: <quoted text> That came directly from the newspaper article . They were interviewing BA The lack of snow as stated also makes for a good case as to why Maura may not have been able to be tracked. Searchers would have a difficult to impossible task finding any sign, without 100% snow cover your not going to see tracks. Even with snow, tracks can fade rapidly especially in sunlight. Two days or more can make a huge difference in identifying or even finding tracks. I think PI Healy said they searched a 5 mile area, if memory serves me right Forcier believed he saw her about 7 miles away putting her outside of the initial search area.

The culprits of the mess are either Fred or his brother Danny/his wife. That area of Weymouth is fairly nice-- not rich, but taken care of well. Surprising that a house was allowed to fall into such disrepair. I guess one way to find out who made the gross mess is to determine who owned the dog. I'm choosing not to believe it was a human eating dog food, just cannot deal with that idea. If the dog was Danny's, it stands to reason the mess is his, too. I was honestly surprised by this article. Fred always struck me as pretty fastidious. Though first impressions are nearly always wrong. Makes me want a shower.
