The booze IN the car or NOT IN the car has always been an issue. To this day I believe it is still unclear.

Apparently You have not been around very long then. This would not be a pro tow truck, just a truck. And if towing with a chain or strap You need someone to control the car.
Isn't that totally against the law?

Really? Maybe you need to be more clear when you tell a "story"

More importantly, you need somewhere to attach it to on the Saturn. Care to tell me the point that that strap was attached to on the Saturn?? Windshield wipers, plastic bumper?? Inquiring minds.

This reply, as opposed to your first reply would have been more appropriate.

I saw "towing vehicle" and thought you meant tow truck. But I understand what you are saying now.(The vehicle being towed)

<quoted text>family outings that Fred brought his kids to and funerals of family members. What I did say is I have met her in the past. Yes I did say he never contacted me. The reason I had said this which I had stated in the past is how can one say they are writing a book about a missing person but not contact all that have been involved in the case. This in no way means I wanted to talk with him.
u said u met Maura "ONCE a long time ago." And why would Renner want to contact u?

Scarinza continued that train of thought: "My sense is that she might have gotten a ride. But we don't know her ultimate destination. It's interesting that her backpack was missing from her car. That some liquor was missing. Until we know for sure what happened, we're going to treat this case as if she was a victim of a crime."

<quoted text>In my opinion UMASS police ARE rent-a-cops.
I think DC is referring to rent-a-cops as less than regular cops, like summer cops used by resort towns, auxiliary cops, part-time cops, trainees, academy recruits, etc. Towns on the Cape, for example, use rent-a-cops for about 90 days during the summer season. They are specials, not regular cops. UMass may actually utilize part-timers, interns, etc. as specials, but the bulk of their department is regular. See their website.

Regular cops, like those at UMass, can make mistakes, behave unprofessionally, just like any other cop. I agree, it seems unusual that they never released Maura's picture, but maybe they have good reasons. And maybe they did show the pics to at least one person in Maura's family but told them to keep quiet about it? Just don't know.
