jwb wrote: If FRMLE was a former investigator on this case he should be able to add something to the case that we don't know or at least put some questions to rest but he prefers to attack people .That would be helpful. I think refraining from attacks is a good start. If you get frustrated that you have heard something before just chill out. The attacking is what sidetracks any constructive and or normal back and forth conversation. I think if everyone justs let people voice their thoughts then they will be able to work out what is fact vs fiction on their own. i am quite certain you don't have the history of participation and recognition to make that judgment. specific to Topix, not to mention a number of other forums, there have been very, very complex interactions. that is, unless you have participated over time under different monikers, which, in itself is an issue. do you not recognize your own "attacks"? are you blinded by your own ego and eager postings? it is not a valid recommendation to suggest "everyone just let people voice their thoughts then they will be able to work out what is fact vs fiction on their own." no, that is a waste of time and air space, especially when fiction implicates innocents...victims of people who unjustly accuse. that is an issue we face here every day. so, by your suggestion, it will be necessary to "police" truth from fiction....hourly, daily, weekly. at least here on Topix.

jwb wrote: new Renner post up. very strange indeed That video was put together with the help of his daughter, recorded in a NH studio, and posted on youtube in July of 2011. I don't think it's so strange myself. I mean this man plays the guitar and can sing. The video seems to walk its way through all the rumors he has had to endure and ending with the hope that these rumors die,~ so he can get on with his life. Someone posted a comment to the new post, wondering why his wife would say such a thing. MR Renner firmly believes that Maura was going to NH to meet/or with someone elses help, and something else happened. He does not think the contractor had anything to do with anything, and neither do police.

A lightbulb moment whether clueless or point well made, some things might be pursued with the help of such trigger moments. I like this forum when it's running right along........the chances of catching onto something laying it wait increases. just me ~ your heart is always in the right place, and your reply is well stated and received. still, i believe the bottom line is to prevent harm to innocents in the name of MM....which has been the history of so many forums run wild over so many years. vigilance to prevent further damage by careless posters should be the greatest priority, imo. after all, there has been too much freedom to create harm by way of this uncontrolled venue, and too little in the way of positive results over so many years. just my thoughts.

Readers take note, when you make a decision to give any weight to jwb's or columbos posts. What coumbo/jwb is proposing here, is that I am actually John Scarinza, the retired NHSP Troop F Commander. Just imagine, if you will, how incredibly insanely stupid that is!! Seriously, John Scarinza is sitting around posting on an online blog forum about this case? The thought of it is completely absurd. So remember this, all you readers, when you read a post by columbo or jwb or any of the other 'experts' on here, remeber this ridiculous notion when they spout off on any subject. Also think, who am I really? Am I really frosty? Aftermath? jwb, or am I REALLY COLUMBO? How easy is it to post a fake name and then a bunch of crap? all it takes is an internet connection, you don't even need an email address. There are no moderators, no judge or jury. Just a bunch of retards (like me) pretending to know something about which they know nothing. Take EVERYTHING here with a chuckle and grain of salt. Scarinza, lol, what a bunch of idiots you all are. ******* If we're all going to be someone else, I want to be Frank K.*********

Thanks and......i agree with you about how we might be harming someone, even if it's only indirectly, it may still harm someone. I've seen it, I've done it and have always fet bad about those early MMM forums. Example: let's talk about if the bus driver did it. How would he be able to get it done, blah, blah and so on to the contractor and down the line. I speak for myself when I say I didn't think about how trying to help answer that, and even against that would be like fuel to the already burning fire in these peoples lives. Word gets around, oh my. It's all very unfortunate.

I should not have said even if it's only indirectly, it's still wrong either way to put someones name out there in the abstract. From what they might be thinking to what they may be doing and on and on. Damn it MM what did you do? I suppose I could check back every year or so and it would still be dragging on.

Snowy wrote: <quoted text> interesting thought, although it seems the police do not give the ex-wife any credibility for telling a "story", regardless of whom it might have been. Snowy, Speaking of credibility, was it ever determined why contractor's story (reporting having seen someone on night of accident who may have been Maura; reported this 2 or 3 months later????) held any validity? That story seemed to be accepted fairly quickly? Thought this was strange, given the fact that some perpetrators will sometimes make up stories, try to "help" police, approach LE with helpful info to determine where LE may be with an investigation. So it appeared that they seem to have ruled out contractor(?) as a suspect fairly soon. Did this seem to be the norm? Unusual? Opinions?

A tryst (allegedly) gone wrong. No apparent sign of a struggle. No need to call AAA, thank you. SAR dog(s) lose the scent. No signs in nearby woods. MA plates on a truck. Maybe an accident thrown in? Mr. Renner has proposed this possibly from the get-go. If that's what happened, go JR! Suss out the truth.

No significant information. why would she leave a voicemail to a friend that had no significant information while she was obviously preparing to leave (according to timeline, other generally accepted facts)? Rod, I had questioned this too (my post appears somewhere on this site). In some information, the part about the person who had been living in the dorm (the friend? MM had phoned) comment is made something like, that person must have moved on.... Did they leave the university? Did they change rooms? What. I know....for some reason...this part about whoever lived in that dorm room remains an intended(?) mystery.
