Not So wrote: <quoted text> Why is it a good point? It had been his car and he either handed her the rag or put it in the trunk...meaningless If your daughter went missing and the police told you, or a mechanic told you that they found a rag that was put deep into the muffler your comment shouldn't be " I told her to do that to stop the car from smoking" it should be more like " why would anyone want to do that?" I think this is the strongest piece of evidence in the case so far. 1. A car can't travel that far with something jammed in its exhaust system. If you did have something in your exhaust system it wouldn't and you would feel the difference in the ride. You would pull over the car would be choking. 2. Theres a good chance then that the rag had to be placed in the car after the accident. 3. The car was found 10 minutes after Maura was seen alive. Which means if someone abducted her assuming she was fighting they would have had to shove a rag into the exhaust system with a very fit girl fighting back. People would have saw. 4. Even if they picked Maura up to give her a ride and she entered the car innocently its not like the abducter would say " hold on I'm going to place a rag in your tail pipe and shove it up there." There would be no reason to you have your victim already. Those four facts I'm pretty sure are very very plausable. Now what if Mauras siliva is on the rag, or what LE thinks is siliva is on the rag that would mean that could be the murder weapon and when it was found Mr. Maura says " I gave her the rag and I told her to put it in the exhaust to have the car stop smoking?" Not accusing him, but there is no motive for anyone to put the rag into the exhaust.

She was dead, sitting upright in her SUV driver's seat. Windows down. Cigarette in hand, ear buds in. Just sitting there. Was there about 18-24 hours before being found. Not sure why she died, but paper said she was pre-deceased by three sibilings. Woman was mid forties, maybe 47. From Belchertown. Some cops are okay, a few are good, but too many are horror shows.

Beagle wrote: <quoted text> You mean like keep holding LE's feet to the fire? I have my doubts. Maura's disappearance is a very cold case. There is, as far as anyone knows, no body and no explicit suicide note. If there's no body, as WTH has pointed out, then she's simply endangered, which puts her on the list. There's no strong indication that she went to the beach or studied abroad. There's no positive indication that she is either dead or alive. However, there are other victims on the cold case list whose relatives have not endlessly antagonized cops and prosecutors; and those victims are not invisible. They are real actual dead bodies. They are positively known homicide victims. Whoever responsibly advocates on their behalf probably gets a little more ear time. Those people are probably going to get what little attention the Cold Case Unit, which is tiny and only temporarily funded, can give them. The Cold Case Unit rightfully should concentrate on what can actually be accomplished in a world of limited resources. It's not wrong to promote your special candidate for attention on the Cold Case list, but good luck. Sure does not sound like our original Beagle, just sayin'

Ricky McMillan told me I was garbage, openly mocked and laughed at me, threatened to make trouble for me with my employer and to hound me at home. So I wasn't too inclined to talk with him. You can trust no cop. You can trust no prosecutor. You can trust on former cop or former prosecutor. They lie for a living. They make trouble for you, the kind of troube that lasts forever, ruins your reputation. Your new neighbors look you up online and then shun you, even though they have no details and are leaping to conclusion. Employers won't hire you. Cops are garbage. Plain enough?

Natalie Holloway is soon to be, or has just recently been declared deceased. Is there any benefit to this option, or might this be a consideration to MM's family?

Not a dis to you, but I don't trust anyone fully at this point either.
