I want keep to go back and read the entire forum with a clear objective eye to the rhetoric put forth here. That being said I hardly think that keep is a newbie. So Not Nice wrote: Speaking of which found this months ago...Snowy isn't this they guy you keep taking about? You know the big important "Innocense Project" guy who posted HIS very graphic description of what he thought happened...funny don't remember hearing any hue and cry about people theorizing or whatever from you and Bill and Wowzer then...Its an old post on Firedog lake, but it still there. Confession By: Masoninblue Wednesday May 11, 2011 4:00 pm I have a confession to make. I am addicted to pornography and have been since I was a teenager. It has interfered with my relationships and I want to be rid of it. For long periods, I don’t think about it, but every once in awhile, it pops into my conscious awareness and suddenly I become obsessed, again. The more sexual energy that I expend in my head, the less I have to share with my wife, which affects intimacy and eventually the foundation and strength of our marriage. Plus, it feels like cheating because it involves hiding and lying. Secrecy and shame are part of its allure. I don’t want to hide and cheat. I decided to disclose my issue as part of a self-initiated process to publicize it in hopes of finally breaking its power and grip over me. I also hope that my disclosure may help others to wrestle with and finally overcome their addictions. It’s long past time to clean-up the dead hawgs in my pasture. http://my.firedoglake.com/mason/ IDK, did anyone ever ask Mason what the impetus was for his steadfast interest in Maura's case? Seems like he was deep into the Ponzi scheme and Student Loan Express at the time, and other things.....

Tom wrote: <quoted text> Most of what I wrote was factual from Brenners blog. What I deduct is: Maura was feeling really sad about the recent events and her father made a plan with her to get away. Like a mini vacation to where he used to take her as a kid. That will cheer her up. She tries calling local places in Stowe and NH for rent but her father eventually makes a res.( remember LE delayed calling the numbers that Maura called for like a year, and I think it was because they already knew he made a res.) So she writes her note to her professors that shes gone for a week and leaves to see her father. She doesn't need her work paychecks because she is coming back, and Mr. Murray usually takes care of her when they go out. So $280 is more than enough. He is coming from CT and she is coming from MA so they decide to meet at a place where they both don't have to go out of the way. They meet at a local gas station in NH (she had a full tank of gas)and Mr. Murray driving from CT probably got gas as well. Everyone wondered why she took that road which was out of the way. I think she met her father at the gas station cause it was like a midway point or something. She leave the gas station before her father - maybe they were in a fight maybe not he could have been mad cause he noticed she was drinking. She gets into an accident. Mr. Atwood stops and asks her if she needs help and she says she's called AAA already. She knows her fathers coming right down the road she doesn't want the police to get involved. Her father comes by and he's pissed she crashed again, and probably was drinking. She takes some stuff out of her car and puts it into her fathers rental. The car is Parked right where the dog lost the her scent. Her father than uses the rag and maybe some other things to hurt/kill her his temper got the best of him. He then stuffs the rag way up the exhaust thinking no one will find it and leaves. When the car is found and he talks to the LE and he says my daughter is missing they ask him questions. LE checks the gas stations where he was spotted and find out he made a res in NH. The rag is found and he gives a bs reason and then he becomes the POI. LE then starts to become hesitant about sharing info with him. Keep in mind LE never check Maura's calls to GO STOWE of the other rental until a year later. I think it was because they had an idea that she was going to be staying with her father. Tom, You´d make a good scriptwriter for some kind of TV drama. You certainly don´t lack imagination!

mmmmom has a flea in her bonnet....or a broomstick elsewhere. fortunately, we have a cold war going; indirect replies suffice. on the battle of the Freds, seems one is more forthright than the other. but what about FM's alibi? what a derned puzzle. several purport to know, but won't tell. where was Fred? some have ventured a guess. like Mason. old news.

I usually reserve comments until I am fully up to speed as I am aware we are discussing a topic sensitive to family members that still may be viewing. This is an honest question and I'm really not being a smart as* but who would they give the polygraph test to, the bus driver that called police, the other neighbor that called the police, the other neighbors in that vicinity? And since there isn't any evidence of a crime even being committed (and I'm not saying it isn't possible but not probable imho) why would they drag everyone in for a poly?

Rod wrote: Would somebody please go stuff a rag in their tailpipe and see what happens. It won't stall your car, it will come out. I remember hearing a long time ago that the rag was basically clean (as if no one had even tried starting the car after it had been put there). Rod, Yes, from what I have been reading the rag was stuffed some way into the tailpipe. Apparently it was quite clean, as well. Another question regarding the rag in the tailpipe would be: How soon was it detected and by whom, when and where? Is there any kind of reasonably dependable source to clear up this point? Thanks.

There is as much evidence that you kidnapped Maura as there is Fred did. Bill WTH, FM a suspect? You've GOT to be kidding. Evidence? There isn't any...and even if there HAD (note past tense)been, it was compromised because the Saturn had NOT been impounded and the "scene" even before the car was hauled off to a local garage was not treated as a crime scene. LE appeared to believe the Saturn was just an abandoned vehicle (it's driver disappeared to avoid a dwi?????) like the many situations they deal with throughout the year. There have been many disappearances and bodies discovered on both sides of the VT/NH border, bodies found in the White Mountains and disappearances in both states. So one of the father's of the MANY victims is responsible for these disappearances and/or murders? Do you have any idea of just how ridiculous this sounds to suggest MM's father may have harmed his daughter? The problem is no one has been identified because the someone abducting these women has ABOVE AVERAGE knowledge of how to leave "accident" scenes CLEAN without a trace of evidence behind. He also knows just how long he has to remove each of these women from the scene where he abducts them. In Maura's case, he snatched her from the highway in that fairly short, 15-minute period before C. Smith arrived on scene. There are never any witnesses and in P. Webb's case...there had to be many people who drove by that scene (it was a busy highway and in broad daylight!) when she struggled to get away from this guy....and yet no one stopped. No witnesses came forward. There is a mystery road warrior on the loose and he continues to cruise the VT/NH area and periodically travels the NH/ME border area.

Don't you know that it is highly more probable that it was someone who was closer to her (family, very close friend) than anyone else. This is LE 101. The first POI will be the person who had the most contact with her recently.

Now, if that were indeed the case, there is, I believe, one pertinent question to ask: If, and I stress if, this marauding rogue LE person was theoretically responsible for Maura´s disappearance, then why haven´t there been any further similar vanishings (to my knowledge) reported in the VT-NH area since Maura disappeared nearly 8 years ago? I find the timeframe here difficult to reconcile with your theory.

The school is now defunct and mired in bankruptcy litigation.
