I always get a laugh when being attacked on a board. But some of you people are something special. Looks like after all these years 468 pages and 9,000 posts later. You guys got this one under control. LMBO. Reading some of this garbage is about half sickening. I guess some of you don't care about the family and friends who I hope by now have stopped reading this trash. And the finger ponting at the locals?? I hope some of you get sued for libel for the bs and finger pointing. I equivalate topix to bar room gossip. But this has to be the biggest toxic waste sludge of a forum I have ever read. A shame. Keep up the fine attacks. I'll just continue to shake my head with disdain.

LE was certain Maura had her black backpack with her. It was something they were interested in knowing where it went. Maybe they saw her with it in the video's from the ATM and liquor store. Or maybe they only saw her with it in one video, but not the other.

If it was Maura that the construction worker saw near the junction of Rt 112/Rt 116, his description does not mention a backpack. If it was Maura and she didn't have it with her, then presumably she left it somewhere between the Saturn and that junction. Just an interesting thought.

Who knows...

Snowy, You have no proof that she ran away from UMASS. No proof exists that she ran away. In fact, it seems clear she planned to return to UMASS or she would not have provided an excuse for her absence to supervisors and faculty. "Obviously Key?" The key point is that there is absolutely no proof that she ran away. In fact, her leaving messages w/an excuse for her absence is only ONE indicator that she planned to return. There were others as well. You didn't like Maura, did you? Your envy of her shows in your manyderogatory posts. she ran away. fact. she did so without keeping in touch with family and friends to share her destination or the reason for her travel. period. i envy no one.

OCD? Talk about anal retentiveness! What you do not know and for obvious reasons (LOL) DENY (hint, hint), is the level of your hysteria. You might consider seeking help, but your level of denial prevents you from doing so. I encourage you to keep complimenting Bill as this is your forte, your area of expertise. Male-launched emotional strokes will keep you rockin' for a few years. Your "cut and paste" ventures in which you attack other posters have become old and boring. Maybe request a new script for Bill or Wowzer. That would be an indirect compliment to them, so you might even follow this suggestion! i could order a list of the most moronic posters on this topic, and you would vie for spot 4 or 5...so you hardly even excel there. still, you type. and type.

The damage you did by calling the locals rats in a nest that needed to be lysoled and saying they lived by incest and were illiterate just to name a few of your hate filled rantings caused several of the locals that were there to help to leave. You didn't help Maura or her family imho and what you helped do to the poor SBD that only tried to help is beyond forgiving. I really don't know how you sleep at night.

Poor guy you have to wonder his frame of mind at the time he was posting all that trash about Fred. Such turmoil. I mean crain station was dumpster diving, and then the poor thing was incarcerated. Frog Gravy will help you understand why we can every throw every piece of crap post out that he ever wrote. Too late now though, the damage is done. Renner has you to thank.

I believe it was related on video. If I was going to take a short break I wouldn't withdraw almost all my money from the bank, tell my boyfriend I didn't feel like talking, lie to my teacher and say someone died, don't tell anyone I was leaving or where I was going, buy some booze, take off in an unreliable car that I wouldn't even drive around town in, head to the mountains in NH in wintertime knowing I would be traveling in darkness, crash the car and then refuse help from a passerby and walk away (remember 1 set of footprints) instead of going to one of five houses in view. Nope I wouldn't do any of those things if I was just going on a short break. But that's just me.

If someone wanted to mislead people into thinking Maura was at the WB curve, well, they've done a pretty good job of it. Virtually all the posters agree on one thing: Maura was at the WB curve. There is indeed some indication that she was there, but it is insufficient. Maura may have left Amherst under duress, but also under the assumption that she was returning. If she was in fact at the WB curve, she may have had a reason for deflecting SBD's offer of help. If it was not she at the WB curve, then all the more reason for that person to avoid contacting anyone in the area.

aftermath wrote: <quoted text> Bumping for Maura, Without checking my notes, I know there is Ms. Maitland in addition to Maura. Brianna's car was found but she has never been found. There have been several other disappearances as well. In my opinion, the guy who is abducting and murdering these women (some bodies have been found)has either military training, police training or a combination of both. This does not necessarily mean he is a member of law enforcement (there are a lot of wanabee's out there). He has had some type of regimented, very disciplined training (I've even considered the possibility of martial arts training given how quickly and quietly these women are removed from where they were last seen). He is in good physical condition. Whether he is self-taught or was actually involved in LE and/or military remains unclear. Whatever the case, he possesses some highly developed skills, especially people skills. In considering common denominator regarding some of these cases, it is evident this guy possesses a specific skill set that the average person does not. It is apparent that he has clear insight as to how long it will take LE to arrive on scene. He may have access to a scanner but in any event it appears he knows where members of LE are based, where units are located and if they were called, how long it would take for them to arrive on scene. He also has superb understanding of VT-NH system of highways, including secondary road, etc. Appears to love wooded areas and not just because they provide good cover. He may be an outdoor enthusiast. This seems highly likely. His motive is nonsexual; he appears to be fueled by ego, competitiveness and rage. He's also tossing a few things into the mix to cause confusion. Maitland had a drug problem you can't really compare her case to Maura Murrays. When drugs are involved it is too close to the under ground because of the shady people.

in what ways do theories posted online by cyber-sleuths differ from each other to the extent that one or another is damaging to individuals suggested to be at blame for MM's disappearance? does it matter only to the extent to WHICH individual is suspected to be involved in her disappearance? is it ok to point to the SBD, but not ok to point to FM? and which of the collection of individuals, first self-identified as PBB and later informally referred to as "ducks" have actively contributed to not only blaming the SBD, but have gone on to blame, in succession, various local NH residents...either directly or by implication? how many forums/discussion boards, and now FB pages exist in MM's name? why have so-called "family" members of MM, and by extension, their representatives, failed to accurately correct information about MM when it is inaccurate? why, in fact, have they propagated misinformation?
