Those things listed are absolute facts. If your daughter wants to be with you in a one bed hotel room at 2:30 AM (which is weird) and crashes your car while having a couple drinks. If your cool enough not to make a big deal about it then I'm sure your daughter would open up to you and tell you anything that was bothering her, and where and why she was going to NH if it wasn't to see you.
I'm not saying he's guilty but they're a lot of facts that point towards him atleast knowing a little more than he knows. I think once LE realized that he wasn't talking much they went into shutdown mode with him, or they picked up some strong evidence to make him a POI.
I'm not even saying he killed her, maybe he helped her runaway, to help her start a new life. And maybe LE is thinking the same thing. Maybe they won't charge him until and or if they find a body, cause otherwise it wouldn't be a murder he would have assisted her in running away. And here is where I get confused. You were saying that he was a POI or more. There is nothing here that makes him guilty of anything. And he has never listed him as a suspect or POI by any police agency. Maybe because there is no evidence that make him suspect. I certainly don't think what you have presented make him a suspect. I don't know Fred and think he can be a serious a**hole. But I don't see any evidence of wrongdoing on his part. Bill

Tom, If one reads some of the letters and other material written by FM, it appears that he may have a very good idea as to who may have abducted and possibly murdered his daughter, but unfortunately has no proof to support his belief. This is my opinion. FM is an intelligent individual and therefore if he felt it necessary to have legal counsel present, then I believe he did. In my opinion, only a fool would agree to an interview without legal counsel present and/or attempt to represent him/herself in court. My motto is that it's better to err on the side of caution. This holds true anywhere in the world.

Shack, thanks! i am a dad and my daughter is my world. I can truly appreciate what you just posted.Fathers love their daughters so much that they would go to the face of the earth for them. I hugged my daughter today when she told me she got a part time job. I hugged her because I could, she was with me. I can't imagine loosing my daughter. I am sure i would be focused on her and only her. No questions asked!! i would do as fred did and searched high and low myself knowing the limited resources available. If fred got angry about the situation, most of us would if it were our daughter. I just can't imagine life without my daughter and I mean it JWB

I do agree with that Hannah although he prob doesn't know the final outcome. who knows right? he seems like a dad that loves his daughter from what we see on video etc, but we don't really know him nor can judge him without knowing those elements. Some of you may know Fred and can offer a different view point.

How is he being punished? Can't be more than how the locals and SBD was punished. More than likely it isn't his personality but his own words and actions that leave a negative lasting impression.

I am here for Maura only. Why ? who knows I guess the Blue Ribbon and going by it from time to time and being able to hug my daughter and Fred not being able to do that with Muara. I feel their Pain
