FrmLE wrote: <quoted text> What's YOUR theory exactly? I read your posts twice, and still can't figure out where you think she is or what happened to her. I get the 'abuser' part, I don't dismiss the idea, but I can tell from your post that you tend to view all things through the eyes of your experience. Which is not a bad thing, it just makes you biased toward your viewpoint, don't you think? I definitely agree that she was running from something in her life. It may have been not just one thing but a combination of numerous things, all of which added up to overwhelm her. I agree that with her means, resources and lack of any savvy or cunning that the idea she is alive somewhere is so remote to be almost impossible. I think it is possible that she was abducted from the area of the crash and killed, however there are a few facts which make it extraordinarily unlikely. The biggest reason that has been stated numerous times is the time frame which she could have been abducted, combined with the remoteness of the area and the fact that several neighbors could see the crash scene from their houses and did not report any cars stopping to interact with maura. Soooo, based on that it leaves one possibility very likely, and 2 possibilities very unlikely, but not impossible. In my opinion. What's your theory. I admit to being biased by my own experiences. I'm open to all possibilities, though. I hope to be wrong. Mainly, I just hope one day that it'll be solved. I've had several theories throughout the years. Maybe she made it the 4-5 miles east, then had to stop to rest and hypothermia set in. She wandered into the woods... But then they searched that area, and didn't even find any of her belongings. Maybe she ran -- but again, where was she running to exactly? a bus station? looking for a phone signal?-- and someone picked her up and harmed her. I honestly don't know. But my theory is that she was running from school FROM something. Not TO a secret lover etc. And if she was on the run from the beginning, it seems that she would be trying to keep running after the accident. Not stop at someone's house for a phone etc. But keep running. It seems she was trying to keep running. Whether her plan was interrupted by foul play, who knows? She could have made it miles away, taken shelter with the wrong person, gotten into the wrong car... It bothers me that her father is so strongly pointing toward the foul play happening right there at the crash site. He originally thought she ran away, no? It's much more likely that she continued to run, and met with foul play later. Right? Why never consider that? Seems so odd to me. If she is still out there somewhere, and someone -- such as the family member in Canada -- is protecting her, then it would make sense that they had a good reason to protect her from something more than a small theft or fraud charge. From her father and/or other family members, even. I agree that it's unlikely she's still out there alive somewhere, but at this point all of the possibilities seem unlikely to me. FrmLE, I am curious, did you work on this case?

Should we assume that by you saying your being biased your main theory is she had an eating disorder? You don't have to post all the theories just the one that makes the most sense to you?

I believe she was on the run, and continued to run -- or at least attempted to continue to run -- after the final accident. What happened from there, I have no idea. She could have gotten a ride and/or taken a bus, and made it some distance before her father was notified she was missing and searches began. This makes more sense to me than the probability that she was killed by a local "scumbag" (as her father says) in that short window of time. From there, along the way, over time, anything could have happened to her. Or someone, somewhere, could be hiding her out to protect her. Who knows. Or, if it really was Maura spotted 4-5 miles east, she may have suffered hypothermia and wandered so far into the woods that they just haven't found her yet. I'm not sure how likely this is, since I have never been to the areas that were searched. If she stumbled onto private property and died a number of miles from the crash site, would they have found her?

FrmLE wrote: <quoted text> Agreed, howevr if I proposed that Bigfoot flew an alien spaceship down and snatched maura from her Saturn, would he also post that because a poster proposed it? Both are equally absurd in my opinion. The fact that he puts his name to it means nothing to me, I put my name to every single criminal investigation I was ever a part of, it was my job. This is his job, he is trying to make a buck. For which I have no problem with, but his credibility is directly related to his writing, agreed? Act like a fool, and I will judge you as foolish. i don't know. ask him. absurdities have been central to the whole discussion. his is a creative endeavor with all attending freedoms attached; he has no obligation to research and investigate within any set boundaries. so far, he's been able to reveal more accurate information to the general public than by any number of forums. his credibility is as good or better than anonymous posters....chiefly because he is willing to attach his name. he has my respect.

For whoever gets WMUR channel 9 on tv Fred Murray will be talking tonight along with others? as to why they think foul play is involved. Should be interesting. Not sure if it's coming on at 6:30 or 7:00. It's not on their website yet so unsure of time. If he says he thinks it's a local scumbag I think I'll puke.

I'm sorry, ask him what? What was the question? He has no obligation to research and investigate within any set of boundaries? Ok agreed I guess, though he does purport to be an investigative journalist. However, I am able to judge his credibility based on the level of research he conducts and on his investigative methods, right? All that I said was that when he throws out absurd stories for the purpose of generating interest, he loses credibility in my eyes. It's the same thing when I read in the National Examiner that Aliens have occupied Lada Gaga's body and are performing mind control experiments on her fans. Ok it's cool and entertaining, but I am really not going to rely on the National Examiner for my real news stories after that am I? Thats all I am saying.

I don't have any files, just what I can recall. Remember this was one of a thousand cases I worked, and though I remember when this happened and was working the area then, I did not work it then. I worked it cold years later. No files for you.:)

Local Woman Disappears From NY College Police Searching For Mashpee High Graduate POSTED: 2:39 pm EST February 7, 2012 UPDATED: 2:46 pm EST February 7, 2012 BOSTON -- New York police are searching for a missing woman from Mashpee who disappeared from her college campus last month. Jessica Ronhock, 21, a 2009 graduate of Mashpee High School, was reported missing by her family on Jan. 19, according to the Cape Cod Times. The nursing major at Elmira College in New York is believed to have driven cross-country. She left a note for her roommate Jan. 10 saying she was heading to Mashpee for a "family emergency." Police in New York said there was never such an emergency and she had not returned home. Ronhock's most recent location is believed to be near the Grand Canyon, the newspaper reported. She traveled through Florida, Texas and Arizona. The last transaction on her credit card was Jan. 18, and the last call made from her cellphone was on the day before. Police said she is driving a 2000 white Jeep Cherokee with Massachusetts license plate 66JX98. Copyright 2012 by TheBostonChannel.com . All rights reserved. Vor, Several years ago I dared to suggest inappropriate boundaries/relationship/sexual abuse in the past with FM and I was quickly hushed and over ridden by many a Duck. I also suggested an element of bipolar disorder for Maura and was also silenced quickly. I hope the same does not happen to you.
