IF it's true that Beagle has been questioned, I think it is more of a joke to the PI's. You know, the perp always makes an appearence on the anniversary of the victims demise. The wink at the end of the laughing video... Maura's name is not on that ticket..Det. Columbo & Beagle are e-mail buddies. JOKE. Just my opinion of course.

How do you explain the ticket with the video named "Maura"? He just so happens to have a ticket from Feb 11 2004 that fits the timeline. No one put a gun to Beagles head and told him to keep posting yet he continued to post time and time again that he was asked if he killed Maura . Why? Makes no sense.

I really feel aweful about the whole thing and I hope it is not beagle only because I did enjoy his sense of humor and wit. If it was a joke it was a poor decision.

Maybe I didn't explain my opinion very well. I'll break it down:

* It's a joke!
* It's between Beagle & his accusers (if true)
* If Maura's name was on the ticket, that would raise a red flag, but it's not!!!!
* He winks at the end of the video.
* Beagle is not stupid, just saying...
* People are MIA today..hmmm

It's odd, I'm sitting at my computer doing some work and checking in here once in a while. I don't know anyone on this thread and have no connection to Maura but I keep looking at the clock wondering... now where she was on the road at this time 8 years ago and what she was thinking?

Thought the same thing on the way home from work. A dark haired girl in a UMass sweatshirt, jogging down University Drive. Sad.

I've looked several times at the two pictures side by side. While I think there are similarities(at least in my eyes) I still cannot say that they are definitely the same person.
Beagle has said some very strange things thru the years and has even said he has been to the 112 area.(Claimed a back hoe or bulldozer almost hit him on 112.) Do I think without a doubt that he had something to do with Maura's disappearance? No I don't.
Do I think that maybe he might have had something to do with her disappearance? Possibly.
I think this could have been handled a little differently and more privately though through the proper channels.
No one should be accused of anything without absolute proof that they did it.
I keep remembering the lynch mobs that came after everyone that lived within the area where Maura went missing and what happened to them.
Let's be sure this time before accusing someone.
If it turns out that it is Beagle on the video then I will be very disapponted in him.
If without a doubt he had anything to do with Maura's disappearance then he should be dealt with appropriately by LE.
I'm waiting for some proof before I judge anyone.

we can assume it was a Joke and we can assume it wasn't a Joke. We will have to wait and see what becomes of it.

Disappointed as well....NO matter who it is. Never met the Beagle before but IF it is him, He is in the doghouse with many.

i think you and jwb miss a key point, however. Renner's updated post links to a vid and article in which John Healy is interviewed and the family has made a statement.
i don't believe the issue is for anyone here to judge.

No kidding. Read it, saw it, got it. Was going to re-post here but "ooOOoo" had already done so. All of it was sent to media earlier today which you scoffed at, if I recall.

Absolutely, thank goodness for the media. Now that it has been reported to the Attorney General's Office the media will definitely follow up. No "entertainment factor" there, just facts.
